I find it so hard to believe all these bad reviews from Patrick. Patrick came to my house promptly after my initial phone call. While others had said I had a lot of roof damage and would need to replace most of the wood under the roof, Patrick said the wood was fine. He provided me with several pages of referrals and I called several of them at random. Each person was very happy with their roof and very happy with Patrick.

I got my new roof this past summer in 2014, I decided to wait until now to actually write a review, as I wanted it to RAIN on my new roof to make sure there were no leaks---NO leaks. Roof is great, price was great and I love the color. Excellent job!! Two thumbs up from me!!

Patrick replaced the asphalt shingle roof on my back house over ten years ago, still looks like a million bucks, never leaked, reasonable price, great (and quick!) crew.

So of course we hired him again for the new roof on our front house, which was just completed. I did get other bids which, on a $5,000 dollar job were two or three hundred dollars less. He spent the time to show me where those bids came up short, patiently explaining the roofing process. He also ran interference with my rooftop HVAC people and my solar people, all of which was happening at the same time, and none of whom were as professional and exacting as Pat...In fact, he avoided a couple of disasters by pointing out problems in the work of the other contractors, problems that were nipped in the bud thanks to his exceptional commitment to doing things the right way.

Trust me people, the roof is NOT the place to cut corners or hire someone who's ""good enough"". And don't believe all these suspicious one-star reviews, they seem to be from slimy competitors.

Job was done quickly... But beware of their truck, It will leak oil on your driveway! Mine was new UGH. Not happy at all with that as there was plenty of street parking. I have never seen a pro park in a customers driveway unless required to do so.....

This man named Patrick said he was from Mar Vista Roofing called from an unknown number sunday night and said he would like to come to look at the roof between 9-10
I did call Mar vista roofing next day... he answered the phone and said it would be more like close to eleven..I was just round the corner at my mother's house I noticed he'd called around ten fifteen, I called and said I was sorry I did not hear the phone.. He was surly and rude and said I am not coming back. I think I was lucky

Patrick at Mar Vista Roofing is a great find! The work he and his team do are quick and very reasonably priced. I would recommend his services to my friends and family and use him again in a heart beat!

In January 2014 Mar Vista Roofing did an outstanding job of repairing the roof of our Culver City two story duplex and they worked very professionally with the air/heating company we hired. As I previously noted, after writing my review I was emailed by Patrick. I wish I could give a '-1' rating as. He basically accused me of making it up. I think it's quite sad I had nails come through my ceiling and he does not even remember the event. It must be common for him.

I have since talked to another neighborhood businessman that said he has so many bad reports that on Mar Vista Roofing/Patrick that he will no longer refer his own customers to him, instead steers them away.

Some 20 years ago I had a good experience with dealing Mr. Pat Farrell of Mar Vista Roofing Inc. We were fortunate, my wife and I, to find out that they were still in business, which indicates they must be doing something right.so, when we needed our rental house and garage roofed, we didn't hesitate to call on Pat again. Like before, he arrived on time and presented himself in a very professional manner as he introduced himself and offered his business card.
He promptly got on his ladder and proceeded to inspect the roofs very thoroughly.
upon completion, he gave what we thought was a very adequate price, and is was, along with a more than satisfactory warrantee. Additionally, he said he would stand by the job no matter how long it was. we found him to be very genuine, patient, a good listener, and a perfect gentleman. we read some of the other reviews that weren't so positive. we found them hard to believe, unless they had an ulterior motive like being a competitor that deliberately wanted to discourage a potential customer.
Pat's crew arrived on time and made sure any and all left over debris was picked up to our complete satisfaction. Pat arrived shortly after his crew and went over all the facets of what had to be done .he also came by 3 more times to check on the job.
before he left on the last visit, just before completion,we had no worries about paying him in full so he wouldn't have to return again. we were very happy and most satisfied with their work during the project, we had the time to talk to their employees. most of them worked for Pat a lot of years, two of which had 20 years of service. we would most highly recommend Mar Vista Roofing for any and all roof repairs. we have given Pat permission to contact us to talk to anyone who may be considering hiring their services at anytime. we're the Goldsteins and our rental is on Milwood ave in Venice. I had a 30+ year old roof on my house and the original 1940's shingle roof (what was left of it) on my detached garage, so I knew there would be extensive repair in addition to the new roof. I called and Patrick was out the next day, gave me a very fair estimate
and began work within the week, with all permits taken care of. His crew was great, they worked quickly and cleaned up so well you wouldn't know they'd been there. I don't understand the bad reviews because in all my dealings with Patrick he was very respectful. Now I have a beautiful roof and no more leaks in the garage. I would definitely recommend this company.

Very pleased with our new roof. Patrick made it easy, came one day and we chose the new tiles, they installed a couple of days later. We shopped around and one company told us it would take 7 days to remove our old roof and install the new one. Mar Vista did the whole process in 2 days. No-one ever wants to buy a new roof, but if you have to I would definitely recommend them.
