He's crew did an awesome job just can't say enough on how please we were.

So in June when we got hail damage on our 2 story garage.
we call Manuel Chavez he came out the next day
they torn off old roof and haul it off walked around the garage
making sure there wasn't any nail on ground or shingles.
new roof looks awesome thank you so much

Poor listening and communication skills. Disrespect by ghosting my texts EVEN AFTER letting them know I was in meetings and could not take calls.
I double checked to make sure they were using mobile. They were: AT&T. That means ALL my texts were seen and disrespectfully not responded to. Strong arm pressure techniques: Multiple calls and voicemails about starting roof REPLACEMENT at 30 degrees in the morning with a high of 50 degrees by 3pm. Adhesive not too sticky at those temps, right? When YOU are the boss and paying $10,000 for someone to work for you....YOU'RE THE BOSS...PERIOD! (This roofing company in Waco TX seems to have things backwards)

I am a 20+ year veteran real estate investor and broker who have worked with many vendors and contractors in Central Texas and Veterans. My goal has been to support small business owners given that I am one as well as a Veteran spouse.

I visited with Mr. Chavez directly over several months on providing estimates for several of my rental homes in the Central Texas area impacted by April hail storms. After quoting one project twice with the same figure and a month apart, Mr. Chavez and I attempted to schedule the work.

I requested that he send the estimate over written to be finalized via the same process used on the first property he had assisted me with. He asked to get back with me several days later. Once we started to discuss the timing for the work several days later and after I requested the written quote for a 30 year shingle vs 25 year, the price difference increased 150%....in two days???!!!!!!

He stated that the price had changed due to my failure to lock it in when we spoke earlier and that he was unable to make the desired profits. (Again, he asked for the delay for timing). He shared that the insurance companies based their quotes on $170 to $180 a square. I told him I did not know since the cost of the repair was being paid for my me. When I challenged the 'bait and switch' practices , he requested that I get a quote to match the quote he gave me earlier and if I did then he would cut his original quote by $300. He also stated that the quote be from someone as reputable as his company (Better Business Bureau, etc.)

I was pleased to have worked with Mr. Chavez on the first project and expected continued ethical practices with his pricing and business processes. Unfortunately that was not received. He does a great job with communicating and referencing previous projects, unfortunately his business practices did seem above board in this situation. I was excited to have found Manual Chavez Roofing, but as a long term professional in the Central real estate community I can not recommend this company to others and now question the previous accolades provided by him and others

If you need a roof replaced in Waco, this is the best roofer in town. Gave me a very fair estimate, quick and friendly and the most courteous people in town that work with your schedule. Got my roof installed within a week of getting all the paperwork processed. You won't be dissatisfied at all. He's 100%!!!

We got a new roof with a 5 year guarantee 3 years ago. We have had 3 leaks and the latest one ruined a dish receiver, printer, and PS2. Manuel Chavez Roofing continually schedules appointments and never shows up or calls to reschedule. After 3 no call no shows, I sent a 2 page letter saying I would no longer waste time calling them and if they had the inclination to hold up to their guarantee, they could call me. Especially since on the third no-call no show, I called and she stated she knew they were still coming and would page him and call me right back. I called to a filled voice mail box for two hours before I called HER and was told he would come the next day. Which he didn't. Two days later after the letter, they called to set up an appointment to look at it the next morning and the man actually showed up. I told them then that I am not trying to be hard headed, I just want the dignity of a call when they are not going to show up. If they can't get to me for a month, tell me they can't get to me for a month and quit making me sit at home waiting for them. He promised to fix the leaks either Friday or Monday. I reminded him of their lack of commitment to their schedule and he promised again stating he was on the way to the office and would call within thirty minutes with a scheduled time. I have not heard another word from them.

They've done several jobs in our neighborhood and came recommended to us by a realtor (for a home we have on the market) as well as by neighbors.

Couldn't have been more professional...written quotes, with a price ranging 40-60% less than the ""major"" competitor bids we received. The estimator gave time estimate options for both in-stock and special-order shingles. He didn't over-promise on when they could do the work just to get the job, but he was very willing to work within our schedules and even a bit of inclement weather to make sure the agreed-upon time-frame was met - even though it meant installation starting on a Saturday and finishing up by 11:30 am on a Sunday. A crew of eight arrived on time each day and worked their hearts out. The guys cleaned up as they went with very little disruption to the look of our yard or the neighborhood, and they did an EXCELLENT job in every respect.

Shingle color suggestions were thoughtfully presented, and the supervisor even matched the metal edging (used to be this was always galvanized) to a pre-painted color that almost exactly matches our fascia boards. They even spray-painted the plumbing & other roof vents, and they replaced the single turbine vent with five painted-to-match-the-roof ventilators strategically placed along the back of the ridge-line so as to be effective but not show from the street.

We are very, VERY happy with Manuel Chavez Roofing and highly recommend!!!
