If I could give this company a 1/2 star I would. The workmanship on the carports in stock were passable but not impressive. After going into the office I asked about a carport I thought would suit my needs and the price was OK. I needed plans to give the county and they wanted an extra $600 for that. They said the plans would take two months! I thought this was odd since I have purchased carports and sheds in the past and nobody has ever asked me to pay for plans much less 2 months of extra wait time! Then they said the carport would take another 2 months to build and and install and if I did not order that day the price would be going up by 25%, they did not say why. I ordered the carport and paid the $600. A few days later I found out the carport I ordered would be a foot to small so I called and asked about changing the size. They said that would change the price and would add another month to the delivery (now we are 5 months from delivery plus county plan check time). And of course the price for another foot would go way up. I asked for my $600 back and they would only give me $500 back. I don't know why. I could see this disaster coming from a mile away. There are more reputable places for carports in the Fresno area. The price may not be as good but service and ""no hassle"" attention you will get from other companies will be well worth the headaches you save if you deal with this company. I will keep posting on my journey for shed/carport for my new boat.

I ordered a carport for my backyard and was told 7 to 8 weeks to come out. They had the measurements correct on the drawing but wrong on their other paperwork so they showed up and could not install it. They had to redo my order and I had to wait an additional 5 weeks to get the carport installed. I decided to give them a second chance at my business and I ordered two more carports from them. They charged me a deposit for both carports but showed up with only one carport because they didn't see they had two orders and not just one. So they had to go back and manufacture the second carport and called me a week later to install both carports. They gave me a 4 hour window to show up for the installation. I waited and waited and after waiting an hour past the show up window time I tried to call them to see what the problem was. I called about 5 times and they never answered their phone. As I write this review I am still waiting for them. I was able to call the sales rep for the company but not the office that scheduled the work. I was very patient with the hassles they caused me but I will never use them ever again. I still don't know if they will call me back or ever show up. I gave them a deposit of 10% but according to the contract it is not refundable.

Had them enclose a carport that they put in several years ago and it was good. Went back to buy a couple windows and upgrade the door. They gave me the wrong door and charged me the install price even though they weren't installing. Dug up some old 30x30 window and charged me the install price again. The second window was nice but double the price of Home Depot. No discount for purchase. Charged full install price. One door and 2 windows was almost $1000. They said I could exchange door for correct one but it will cost me $40 in gas. They should bring me the correct door since it was their error. I won't do business with them again. They ripped me off big time.

Had them do a joe for me 3 years back and finally updating my review. Well I will be doing another project with them in the future ! Hope I get a discount for the post ;) !

Sure would be nice if they had a working website. Any business that can't have an operational website makes me wonder about anything else they do.

Ok - bought the building - plans from engineer twice - can't get Mina - Erica - to return calls - spoke with Adolfo or whoever the manager is - twice - promised he would have the one last paper signed of whomever would be constructing the building ( permit purposes ) -He Lied - we have Not had the paper promised - I'm out 2 grand so far - bring fighting since December 2018. - PRETTY SAD - buyer beware -

Madera Carports seem to be nice. But the company took advantage of an elderly family member. They sold the carport and said they would install and take care of anything required to complete the install. Well, they didn't follow the state law and installed the carport without a permit. We worked with another contractor to get some work done for heath reasons and are unable to obtain any other permits until the carport Madera installed was permitted. The contractor contacted Madera and offered to permit the carport for them and all they needed were the designs, but haven't had any responses and we need the work done for heath reasons and with his age it's vital we do it soon. When we called Madera they said we could buy the design they used for $500.00.

After checking the California State License Board we noticed there have been several complaints for this company and this same reason. We will be filing a formal complaint with the CSLB and showing the Madera contract that states they follow all state and local AHJ laws and rules which is clearly not the case. Since we own a property that cannot have work done thanks to Madera Carports.

Please make sure if you let these people install your carport you demand to see the permit. And do not let them work without one or you'll be in the same boat as us. And if they say you don't need one check with CSLB to make sure because they told us 99% of the time contractors need a permit for work to be completed.

We ordered a 34x35 building in December and was told upfront it would take about 10 weeks to fulfill due to high demand. I called the office to follow up with production and was told they were a little behind schedule. If I left a message, I received a timely call back. I appreciated the honesty and we were never promised something that wasn't delivered. Our installation was about 3 weeks later than expected, and the installation crew (who were awesome) showed up on time. The installation was supposed to take 2 days but ended up taking 3, which wasn't a problem for us. Watching the crew install the building was fun. They did an excellent job and cleaned up completely before leaving. The building is a lot sturdier construction for what we thought we would get for the price. It looks beautiful and we love it! We would highly recommend Madera Carports if you are looking for a metal carport or building for a very reasonable price

I first ordered my carport from a rep for Madera Carports on 10/15/17 and was told delivery would be 2-3 weeks from that date. I was called 2 weeks later and told end of Nov. I was then called and told second week in Dec. I contacted the office and spoke with their manager Meena (not sure if spelling is correct) she explained how busy they were and how she had contacted most of their rep's with correct delivery expectations. I asked if she had contacted mine and was told no because he only sold a couple a month. I called closer to delivery date in Dec. to conform date and was then told the 2nd week in Jan 2018! I was given bogus reasons as to why they were not delivering AGAIN. I told her if they had been honest in the first place about how long it was going to take I would have gone someplace else. She had the nerve after I had already waited 2 1/2 mos that I could go someplace else. I asked if she had contacted my/her rep yet so that he was not quoting the same 2-3 week delivery date and her response was that she was just too busy. I did her job for her and contacted the rep so some other poor sap would not get the run around as I have. I wonder how many other clients they let believe delivery dates will be 2-3 weeks never intending to honor those time frames? In the mean time my poor horses have had no shelter. I would not recommend this company under any circumstance. Their customer service is non existent. I fully intend to also report to BBB.

salesperson was great but office staff customer service less than great ...did not return phone call messages ...never called to keep me posted on installation dates took 2 months to install..installers were efficient and quick...end product was nice but company needs to improve phone and customer service
