My husband is handy and thought he could DIY new plywood and a roof after a bunch of You Tube videos. Nope. We were referred to Machu Picchu Roofing and they saved us from 47 weekends and possibly a divorce had we tried to do it ourselves.

My husband watched them in action and admitted there was no way he would have known the tricks of the trade that this amazing crew did. Our roof looks great and I'm confident we won't hear that dreaded drip drip of water anymore when it rains.

They cleaned up every speck of dust and debris when they were done and you could tell they were experienced and worked well together. If all professions were like this I swear we would never do DIY again. Super happy and relieved this project is behind us. Cost was great and was definitely a factor for us. Thanks guys!

We used Machu Picchu Roofing for my mom's home. We worked with Jenny and from the start, we were very comfortable. Of the 3 bids we received for the work; Machu Picchu was the best. Even with the rain, the work was done very close to on time. Quality of the work was great. They replaced the shingles with tiles. This company is professional, honest and a great value. I highly recommend this company. We had wall and floor leak due to the rain, but don't really know what's the problem. I called at least ten roofing companies, only three returns my calls, Machu Picchu Roofing is one of them. Paul who's the owner sent his staff Alfonso early this morning to check it out, Alfonso quickly found the problem and fixed it. It's no more leaking now. They are so friendly and professional. I really appreciate their help during the raining season!

Excellent experience! Apparently his customers don't post on Yelp!

We recently replaced our old metal roof and did a lot of research to find the right roofing company for our project. When a friend recommended Machu Picchu Roofing, I came to see if they were on Yelp and saw they only had 1 review, which is kind of scary. I contacted the owner anyway, met with him and got a quote. Short story, don't be deterred by the lack of reviews, in this case, this company does great work but apparently their customers don't post on Yelp. So I wanted to share our positive experience here.

We needed to replace our 20+ years old crumbling metal shingles roof so we could install solar panels (another positive experience too, luckily). I looked up several roofing companies on Yelp with lots of great reviews and got 7 quotes. I also got 2 quotes from roofing companies that were referrals from 2 friends, one of the referrals was Machu Picchu Roofing. The ones from Yelp that have fancy websites came out to look at our roof, gave detailed quotes, and were expensive!

After comparing the quotes in detail, we went with Machu Picchu Roofing. Alfonso, the owner, came out to check our roof, brought samples to show us, his office sent a detailed quote, including a lot of items that other companies charged extra for. His quote was competitive and reasonable!

His office is easy to work with, they handled the permit application with the city and kept us in the loop, their in-house work crew came out early to do the work, they coordinated with the insulation company we hired to put insulation into the vaulted parts of the roof. They finished the job within a week as promised and passed inspection easily. The whole process was efficient and fast. The asphalt shingles roof looks great and the building inspector said it was a very good job.

Alfonso (they call him Papi) takes obvious pride in his quality of work. He showed me the dry rotted wood beams under the corners of our roof and balcony that he found and replaced. He's originally from Peru, been in the roofing business over 20 years, he gets most of his projects by word of mouth, with a lot of building contractors as his customers. His roofing jobs span from SF to Santa Cruz. I could tell he's busy but he answers calls and he's responsive. Alfonso is a burly, friendly nice guy who's very accommodating. I was surprised that his company only has 1 review on Yelp.
We are very happy with the work and happy to support a local business!
