Invalid license!! Called up and talked to Matt Lugo, he says he had a business license and it was online. I asked him to text me the license he refused. He wanted to charge me $65.00 to look at the problem.
I did some research and found his business license is invalid. But he does not tell people that. He should not charge that much for a visit if he is not license. I filed a complaint with BBB.

The first time Matt came out, everything seemed fine, and he was good at communicating any updates (the issue was that neither my fridge nor freezer were maintaining the proper temp). Initially, he said it would take a few days for the part to arrive (it took over a week because he got the wrong part the first time and had to wait a few more days for the correct part to arrive). This is where the problems started and communication started to break down. Matt would occasionally text to tell me he's busy with other jobs. He finally came back out a couple of weeks later when he wasn't as busy to install the part. All I wanted was to be kept informed, but he was always too busy. Even after replacing the capacitor and took my money, there was still an issue with my freezer temp (showed fine after he left the first time and reverted shortly after). I have countless messages that show my attempts to reach him so he can send someone to see what's still causing the issue, but he never settled on a day. I would leave early from work because he promised he'd send someone, then cancel last minute. I was VERY accommodating, and then he told me he's too busy and would have to bill me to send someone out to diagnose the problem (which was never fixed after the initial call). I told him that was unacceptable since the original problem was only half fixed! After more weeks had passed, he offered a partial refund. It's been 2 weeks since that promise text, and now, he won't take my calls or respond to my texts. Basically, he ghosted me. Hire him at your own risk! I'll never hire him again.

I took a recommendation from a neighbor and called Lugo's to have a few things done. I had a whole wall of dead plugs which prompted my call but also had Matt address a few quick things off the ""to do"" list while he was here. He found and fixed the problem quickly and for a very reasonable cost. Thank you, Matt. Good work.

Very unreliable, repeatedly cancels, sometimes just doesn't show up.
Shoddy workmanship that he has failed to correct. Been trying to have this project fixed for 3 months now and I finally told him to refund my money, to which he has not responded.
He had 2 guys replace hinges on a wooden gate but they installed it incorrectly and then told me I bought the wrong latch. No, they installed it wrong. If I bought a ""right sided"" latch then reverse the opening. Or at least tell me before you ""finish"" the job.
One worker knew he screwed up and said he'd be back the next day to fix it and of course he never showed up. Left a drill bit in the hole to keep the gate closed and took one of the hinges home to bend it to make some kind of thing to latch the gate to. Told me not to tell his boss. Big red flag there!
The gate now sags/drags worse than it did originally.
As of now they left a drill bit in the concrete wall to hold the latch closed. The lock goes on the OUTSIDE of the gate where I can't access it unless I walk around the block into a public park on the other side.
Nothing but excuses and no shows.
Every time he canceled it was a new excuse and now he says he can't fix it.

I highly recommend Lugo's Handyman Services. I received a call back the same day I inquired and was able to get the work done within the week. Matt is professional, reliable and capable.

I had a rain gutters and a downspout installed on my car port. They did an awesome job. I very happy with the outcome. They were fast, friendly, reliable. It looks good. The price to install was reasonable compared to the other companies I got an estimate from. I highly recommend them! Thanks.

I called for someone with a ladder that could reach my 20 foot ceiling to get my a smoke detector down! Someone came out the very same day and did it for me. I was impressed with the turn around time and highly recommend Lugos for any work you need for your home or business.
