a 30 year roof from Luceros will disintegrate after 20 years - his coworker is knowledgable about their using inferior materials and Eric Lucero won't do anything about this...

I bought a house last year and my boyfriend lives with me. We knew we needed to get a roof right off the bat. I got several quotes from different roofers... most of them subtly ignored me and chose to speak only to my boyfriend. They didn't go into detail about what kind of roof it would be or the different materials, they just gave my boyfriend a quote and left. Eric from Lucero Roofing was the only one who made it a point to actually talk to me. He came right out after I initially contacted him. He inspected the roof, went into detail about what we could expect, he brought shingle samples so that we could look at colors, and he preemptively addressed concerns.. telling us about his clean up crew who work really hard to make sure nothing is left on the ground so that our dog didn't get injured. He saw that we were young and instead of pushing his business on us.. he encouraged us to get other bids so we could get the best deal. Talking to Eric was like night and day compared to speaking to the other roofers. He really seemed to care. He was up to date on all of the new environmental codes and what roof would be energy efficient for us. I heard him talking to his crew outside once while we were inside the house telling them to make sure they got absolutely everything because we have a dog and he didn't want anything to happen to her. It warmed my heart. His bid was actually a little higher than a couple of the others I got but I went with him because of his communication and integrity. As a young couple new to the whole house thing, we're still trying to figure out what's important and how these things work.. but after talking to Eric we really felt comfortable that he was the right person to take care of our roof. We felt like we wouldn't get taken advantage of. After getting the materials, he installed ventilation in our attic, ensured that the dry rot was taken care of, completely replaced the roof and the gutters, and even, on his dime, addressed/fixed a few preexisting safety concerns. He did this all within the week. We are very impressed and highly recommend Lucero Roofing to anyone who needs a roof or a repair and aren't sure who to go to. Go to these guys.. they care and they won't rip you off

This company can't be trusted. Midway through the removal of existing shingles and plywood the subcontractor told us they would not remove all of the existing roofing materials and would need an additional $450 to finish the removal. We paid the upcharge. Then, when it was discovered that a significant element was omitted from the contract we were faced with an additional $6,000 increase. Tired of being taken advantage of, we cancelled the contract. Lucero's Roofing filed a lawsuit and took us to court. Lucero's motto should be if we can't screw ya we'll sue ya.

An amazing company and crew to use. I needed a whole new roof, not too big of a house. I called on Tuesday. The foreman came by the next day and came up with an estimate super fast. I had a brand new roof by Saturday afternoon.
The team was mindful of my garden and that I have pets. Never left a mess of debris around. My dogs and I really appreciated that.

Responsive and responsible. Eric and team installed my roof in July 2017 during a heat wave. The guys were at the house early and worked tirelessly to get my roof done in coordination with the installation of a new HVAC system on the roof. When a pop up summer rain possibility happened one night, Eric sent a crew to the house in the dark at 9 p.m. to tarp the roof just in case. More than a year later when a leak occurred (that ultimately was the result of the HVAC system) Eric's crew was quickly on scene and worked to help identify the leak. He was responsive and conscientious about wanting to ensure the leak was not as a result of the roof installation. Would highly recommend, Lucero Roofing.
