We called four businesses in regards to replacement of our old tar-and-gravel roof. We picked Lovett & Lovett because of the great reviews but knew we would be in the best of hands when we met Jordon Lovett. He was patient in explaining the torch-down roof process he was recommending and pointed out some of the changes that would need to be made to make our roof more efficient. We wanted to insulate our roof and he explained the process for that, which we ended up going with. We also wanted to add a large skylight in the dining room and Jordan said he could do that as well. He sent a quote when he said he would, he gave us a timeframe when the work would start and then the workers arrived on the day at about 7:50 AM, ready to go promptly at 8AM. Jordon's team was friendly, thorough, respectful and fast with the project and they worked so cleanly that when we came home, we had to check to see if they had come! We were very pleased with the skylight as well; there were a few edges with the interior finishing work that we thought could have been improved and Jordon came over to look at it and said he'd send someone over right away to fix what we wanted; he said he wanted us to be totally happy with the work. His worker came over and made it perfect in an afternoon and once again, left everything inside spotless. Jordon said we wouldn't charge us until the work was to our liking. We were/are so impressed! Great business, great product, great customer service. Too bad we don't have a few more roofs -- we'd totally commit to Lovett & Lovett!

We called Jordon Lovett for a quote when roofers in SF were quoting us high prices for an April 2013 complete re-roofing on our 1906 Victorian. He was quick to respond, friendly, on time for the initial visit, and went the extra mile to get up on our somewhat hard to access roof and inspect what needed to be done. His quote was more reasonable than others, and he was able to begin the following week. His team was great, and although there were a few unavoidable delays due to spring rain, once the job was started it moved very fast. We really appreciated that our concerns and questions were addressed and solved very quickly, including one neighbor complaint, and the follow up after the project was fast. We passed inspection with the city with no problems. Would definitely hire them again and recommend to a friend. Thanks, guys!

I've read the reviews for Lovett & Lovett Roofing and I'm wondering how could this be the same roofing company. The people writing yelp reviews must most certainly be related and/or friends. Really...
My experience with Lovett & Lovett was horrible. I contracted them to replace my roof after inteviewing 2 other roofing companies. I selected them because the price was lowest and they advertise as 3-generations of roofers.
After I signed the contract and shook hands, I never saw Mr. Lovett - just several workers who didn't speak English.
Within 2 years my roof was leaking. Mr. Lovett claimed it was because I needed new downspouts; when I asked him why wasn't that initially done with the roof replacement, he claimed ""I didn't want it to cost you too much. . . ""
He charged me almost $2,000 - I paid. . . I felt like the female who drives into a mechanic shop.
A year later it was leaking again. I looked closely at the very fine print on the back of the contract and it stated that within 3 years the workmanship was warrantied.
When I told Mr. Lovett, I was due a refund he laughed and said ""it's not my business anymore it's my sons...""
All I can say is buyer beware.

I enjoyed working with Jordan Lovett from Lovett & Lovett Roofing. He was extremely responsive and provided a quote that didn't include a lot of unnecessary extras. The actual work crew was on-time, left the work area tidy after the end of the day, and neatly stacked the temporary tarp and bricks that I used to cover the roof until the repairs were completed. I have another 2 roofs that will need to be replaced in the future so Jordan and his team will be my first call.

L&L graciously offered to send me a receipt and warranty. While a nice Yelp!-star inspired-cover-your-butt offer - I want true ""customer satisfaction"" they supposedly offer all customers and I'll hold out for a refund.

We had Lovett and Lovett do a small job for us. They were on time for the visit and promptly provided an invoice that accurately reflected the work required for a fair price.. We had to wait a few weeks for them to become available. They showed up when they said they would, executed the work in a professional manner and left things clean.

We had a roof leak about 18 months ago (water coming through the bedroom ceiling) and Lovett & Lovett responded quickly to the voice message I left on Jordan's cell. He came over to check, found the leaks after checking the attic & the roof, job was taken care of by a crew of 2 men a couple of days later. I think the job was $175. It rained again heavily later that week and Jordan called to check whether the roof was holding. It was. Five stars for responsiveness & friendliness!

About a year later the roof was leaking again, this time I could only hear rain dripping in the attic. Jordan came over, fixed some more, charged $175. A week later it rained and we had a pools of water on the the bedroom floor under about the same spots fixed by L&L the fist time around. I contacted Jordan asking about warranty for their work and got a friendly and professional response. He came the next day to check the roof yet another time, found some shingels that were ""nailed too low"" and had made puncture holes through which the rain came through. He worked about an hour of the roof, and did not charge for his work. It has rained heavily after the last fix by J and we are still dry indoors.

I'm very happy with Lovett & Lovett's services and will use them again for roofing jobs. One extra bonus is - very irrelevant professionally speaking- that Jordan probably is the best looking roofer in CA :)

They did a great job on the roof itself. There are no leaks, everything is working and looks great, and they were on time with the job. HOWEVER we were not satisfied with their attentiveness to the details that needed to be fixed after the main job was complete. They are expensive, so I really was expecting better customer service and treatment.

Very happy to have found Lovett Roofing on Yelp. The did great work and were wonderful about accommodating us during a busy time in the year for roofers in California before the winter rainfall. Lovett helped us save $$$ buy repairing damaged areas on our existing roof and revamped it without replacing the entire roof.

I ended up having my roof replaced almost a year ago. The bid from Lovett & Lovett was very competitive. I chose a shingle material that was Energy Star rated and it didn't cost any more and Jordan agreed to install ""eyebrow"" vents without additional cost which was fantastic. The crew was fast, considerate, and even cleaned and sealed my gutters while they were up there. This past summer I noticed a big difference on the hottest days my home stayed cooler. And even more importantly, in the recent heavy rains, my roof and gutters are performing great. So yeah, I'm happy.
