LGR replaced our 40 year old cement tile roof with a brand new one, replacing gutters, repairing wood panels, and putting in new radiant barrier. It's a huge improvement over our old roof, and looks like the squirrels will have a much harder time finding a home in it with all the openings well covered. They did the work in a week, did a great job, and I'm glad I hired them for the work . They also coordinated well with our solar company to put in roof mounts for new solar panels, and came back out to fix broken tiles from the solar install. I have no hesitation in recommending their work, and tile work of Porfirio and his team, excellent group of people. We've done a fair amount of remodeling over the years, and this is one of the companies we've used that really stands out.

This is the second roof Los Gatos Roofing has put on for us in the last 25 years. That, in itself, says a whole lot. The old roof (2) were taken off, new roof put on, new drains, downspouts & gutters installed in less than a week. Granted, they had a cancellation and use 2 crews for demolition, but this is a class A company with class A work and workers. Dave is very attentive to the job and answered calls and questions.

I just finished a major reroof on my Willow Glen ranch-style residence. Prior to selecting a contractor, I received approximately seven bids. Robert Brooks, of Los Gatos Roofing, handled their bid. I selected Los Gatos Roofing, and now have a beautiful roof, which has received many compliments. However, I found that LGR's bid was very competitive with other large roofing companies, and was actually the low bid among the final three contractors. Robert Brooks was present at every phase of the process, and answered every question I had. His suggestions actually helped me select a more energy-efficient roof, and he explained each and every option to my complete satisfaction. Robert Brooks even came to my residence ""after hours"" to help accommodate my request that some special sheeting material be installed. The purchase of a new roof is a major investment. I highly recommend Los Gatos Roofing based upon their financial stability (minimal down payment, with the entire balance due after completion), and their professionalism. I would also recommend that you ask for Robert Brooks.

Spoke with one of the owners regarding small roof repair. I felt like he was trying to get rid of me nicely (probably because the job was small and not lucrative enough), but he agreed to come and look at the roof.

He told me he would email me a quote and I even sent him a reminder a couple of days later, but I'm still waiting for that quote and it has been over a month now.

It's probably time for me to take the hint and call up another company.

It's a shame when a company that are apparently good at what they do, get too busy and neglect new customers.

I like this firm. very honest. They come and estimate but did not end up doing any work because they think there is no leaking around skylight. They pointed out to me that the problem is the flat roof portion and what has to be done but should not be too expensive. Unfortunately, they don't do flat roof, otherwise, I would definitely let them handle the job.

This is very unlike the other outrageous roofing firm that comes around and quote me an astronomical quote on everything.

This review is way overdue. We had a leak and I called several companies and no one was willing to come out as it was pouring with rain. Finally called Los Gatos Roofing company who came out in the down pour and covered our roof with tarp so that it would not cause anymore damage inside. I loved the fact that they were so honest and repaired it without any charge. A year later I changed my roof and called them to come out and do the job as I knew what a wonderful job they would do and for me honesty and trust is also very important. I highly recommend them.

A couple of years ago Los Gatos Roofing inspected my tile roof and reported that I had 22 broken tiles that needed to be replaced. It was interesting news because the roofer who inspected it before them had told me I needed an new roof. for $6.500. Naturally I had the tiles replaced and all was good for a year until it rained in my daughter's bedroom. The leak had nothing to do with their work but from leaf build up in the valley of the roof. But just that morning I got a follow up call to see how my roof was doing. When I mentioned my problem a crew was sent out that day to take care of the problem. I was impressed. Today I am calling them again for yet another broken tile problem. I am not even bothering to get another bid. I trust them after the excellent service from the last repair!

Los Gatos Roofing did a great job for us. Dave W. was responsive and his crew followed up on all of their commitments. We have an arbor that is attached to the roof. They worked hard to pull it up so the new roof could be installed, and then they made sure to re-attach it perfectly. Our new roof looks fantastic ! We highly recommend Los Gatos Roofing.

I am the president of a HOA in Mountain View. I used to be in the contracting business many years ago and fully understand how difficult it is to get the right company for the right price. After talking to 14 diamond-certified companies and getting 5 estimates (several did not even submit a bid because the back buildings in our complex have steeper roofs and some were not professional), I still was not satisfied until my wife found Los Gatos Roofing. An owner named Randy Brown came out to see me. His knowledge and direct approach including the way he handled the warranty was outstanding. Upon the completion of the job, I can honestly say that there were only minor issues that had to be dealt with as anyone would experience with any major job. This company exceeded my expectations and gets a well-deserved 5-star rating from me. I would recommend this company to any home owner association or private home owner who wants a good roofing job done correctly with a top level warranty.

Los Gatos was the best choice for us and we are extremely pleased with our decision- they did my parents house as well, and were highly recommended.

We got multiple quotes for a complete reroof but mainly focused on Diamond Certified roofers and bids. The first was way over priced (25% higher than LG roofing), the 2nd didn't show up for the bid/quote, so we chose Los Gatos. This was the first roof we ever put on a house along with a full new gutter system so we had no less than 100 questions which Jon answered completely and timely. Unlike some folks, we didn't make our decision purely based on price, but the overall experience and package offered. Some companies we considered had roofs falling apart after a few years according to their Yelp reviews. There is no incentive for the LG crew to ""rush"" a roof job based on how the workers are paid, so the workmanship as well as product quality is solid.

We will recommend Los Gatos, Jon and team to anyone who mentions they need a roof or repair!
