Wonderful job from start to finish! Within 4 working days, Los Gatos roofing took off the old concrete tiles, laid down new sheathing, felt paper, replaced all flashing, and installed new concrete tiles. Basically a new roof. The workers were very hard working, competent, and professional, cleaning up the site at the end of every day. They found dry rot in a couple of areas and repaired that, too. They even cleaned out the gutters! Their rep, Dale Carstensen, was great to work with, friendly, honest and highly knowledgeable. He made sure he had a stand in, Cameron, when he was out of town. Besides the great job (even the city inspector commented on it at the final sign off), their price was actually the lowest due to an accounting error but they stood by it, saving us lots. Very happy and would use them again.

We were very pleased with the whole process while working with Los Gatos Roofing from the get go. Their Representative Jon Fletscher was no-nonsense right up front honest and professional. He came, measured showed us product and provided cost estimate quickly. LG Roofing also worked with the solar company (Clean Solar) that we choose to install our Solar. We didn't have to worry about timing both companies worked out the schedule then went to work. I also have to give the crew that installed our roof a great big ""shout out""; those guys worked amazingly hard all day long while we were experiencing extremely hot weather in the 100's. They completed the job in one day! They were professional, fast and their work product ""excellent!"" Thank you guys, all of you. We really wish we could have seen them before they left we wanted to get their names to provide them with a personal thank you, we did call the company to get their names but wasn't able to do so, might be a privacy thing, anyway we would definitely go this route again. THANK YOU!! LR/VSR

Los Gatos Roofing was a pleasure to work with. Responsive to my needs, Los Gatos Roofing was able to fit my smaller project in sooner than I thought I could get. It was a patch up some loose and broken shingle job, and wanted to get it done before the rains(?) come. They arrived on time, worked independently, completed the job requested and then blew out my rain gutters. Very satisfied and would hire them again.

Everything seemed fine at first. Then the noise began.
LGR replaced my roof four months ago. Since that time I have endured a barrage of noises coming from the roof -- creaks and pops loud enough to wake me up, whether it's hot or cold outside, windy or calm.
The project foreman told me to wait a three months to let the roof ""settle."" I did, and the noise continued.
I emailed him again, no response.
I called the owner of LGR. He took ZERO responsibility for the problem. He would not even send anyone out to examine the cause of the noise.
The lesson here is that LGR is a volume business. Do not expect any support if you encounter problems with your job -- they're already on to the next. If you've already paid, you can assume you are of no further concern to them.

Los Gatos Roofing replaced my roof in 3 1/2 days. Their work is exceptional. The entire crew worked diligently and carefully to complete the job quickly and with attention to detail.
They even replaced the gutter guards, cleaned the gutters, moved and reattached the HD antenna to the chimney and sealed the corners to prevent rodent intrusion.
They also worked to coordinate with two other companies for the placement of solar panel standoffs and new skylights. Dale Carstensen was there to supervise and coordinate the entire process from bidding the job through completion. All at a very competitive price.

If you want your home roof to be repaired properly please contact Tad Dayton he will give you an accurate and honest reasonably priced estimate of repairs. Two members of his crew Ivan and Victor were outstanding! They performed removal of dry rot and cleaned the valleys of my roof (where water drains to the gutters) removed roof tiles and put them back properly. They also installed new flashing where needed. This is just part one of a two part job estimate that has been completed and I can hardly wait until tomorrow to report part 2 to you. Fantastically Pleased!!!

This company does quality work at a fair price and finished the installation in 3 1/2 days!
Ask for Robert Brooks to do the estimate and manage the job.
My 30 year tile roof was a mess. I had several leaks, dry rot (including a wood chimney) and a poor design of the drainage to downspouts. The roof had a complicated design with four ridges and valleys on the front. The old concrete tiles laid flat on the roof so their was no ventilation to naturally cool the tiles. The poor quality of the original installation was largely to blame. The sheet metal work must have been done by monkeys. I installed Boral Appalachian Blend thick tiles (thin tiles are for older home which cannot support the load).
I explained the problems to Bob when he did the estimate. He had excellent suggestions to solve the problems and followed through on every item. It was a turn key operation. LGR does all the work in house (except for the gutters and downspouts).
As far as getting the estimate, I went to their web sight and asked for an estimate. You have to be patient. It took three days before they contacted me. I never did a followup phone call which may have shortened the time to respond.
There is only one other Diamond Rated roofing company in the valley. They had a higher price.

Good work, but poor communications and poor control of subcontractors.
I've used them for two residential projects. Both projects in the end turned out well after what I accept as the typical amount of back-and-forth after the first completion attempt. Workmanship appears good, but we've not had enough rain to really test those jobs for some time.
My first ding on them is communications as I've had emails to multiple recipients languish and be ignored. That'd be acceptable a decade ago, but not today. If you work with them, you'll need to rely upon written and live (phone) communications.
My second ding on them is both times I used them they broke significant branches off trees, and tried to hide the evidence. This was despite wrapping the low branches with pink florescent tape. They also broke a sprinkler manifold and made no mention of it. They blamed it on their subcontractors.
One plus for them, though, is they ensured they had at least one English speaking worker at the job site. They also did a good clean-up effort on the job site.

Great job, neat, professional, friendly crew and on time. Cameron, the salesman, is knowledgable and our final cost was as stated, except for necessary repairs for termites and dry rot, which were handled easily. Competitive pricing.

I've been meaning to get around to writing this review for a long time. In April 2014, Los Gatos Roofing sent out Tad Dayton, and he was determined to get to the bottom of a mysterious leak we'd been wrestling with for years, and that two other roofing companies had failed to figure out. His dedication and persistence was impressive, and it paid off. Tad and his team demonstrated impressive expertise and great follow-through, and they were always on the job when they said they would be, doing exactly what they promised, on time. And it worked! Easily one of the best contractor experiences I have ever had or ever heard about anyone having.
