I haven't yet worked with Lomelli as we're a way's out from construction, but, Ruben spent 10 minutes on the phone with me describing available options and pricing for a flat roof. This was after attempting to call 5 other area roofing companies and not a single one answered. He was thorough in his description of available options and was honest in answering my initial question of a standing seam roof, explaining it would be a waste of money given it would not be seen from any angle on the property.

Disappointed. These guys may have been good at fixing a roof but the mess they left for me to clean up was unacceptable. They did not cover the side patio where my plants and lounging area are and I spent the entire day picking out pieces of roof, tar, nails, and debris from all my plants and sweeping the window sills etc. They left a large extension cord plugged in to my Ext wall just sprawled all over the lawn, when I went to pick it up it had wet tar all over it and that was quite a drag to clean off my hands! They were here for a week and on day one moved my satellite dish making it so I had no TV for the entire week and when we repeatedly asked them to put it back how they found it they didn't and now I have to wait a few more days to pay my cable man to come fix it.
They were above my bedroom each morning at 7:45 banging away and when we asked if they could start on any other part of the house first rather than the bedroom they said sure but continued to bang in same spot each day. Just overall disappointing experience. I should NOT have to clean up after them period!

I called for a quote, I got no greeting when the phone was answered. I asked to schedule an appointment for an estimate, My request was quickly shut down with a flat out ""NO im too busy"" your lack of customer service skills is appalling. Unless you were perched on top of a roof hot mopping that thing there is no reason for you to threat potential clients this way. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Good day.

Very unprofessional. They send over a contract with name misspelled and saying its a one story house, when its a two story house. They won't make any changes to the form. When I object, they say they are just doing us a favor by letting us hire them. Wasted our time. Very obnoxious.

I wish I didn't have to give them any star. It was night mare I want to forget. Lousy job, unprofessional, unfinished job, it took them long time to correct their mistake. Rude and talk to me like I'm just old women and know nothing and should stay quiet. Came to work dress and act like gang members or people on drugs, but I paid them and I had no choice. They had to come back many times to correct their job. They were threatening me because they wanted to get paid in full before finishing the job and correct their errors. As soon as I paid full payment, in a few hours laterI was getting threatening emails and phone call that they will place lines on they house, this and that. I had to call my lawyer for them stop and retract what they were writing and calling. They forgot county has laws and orders especially for this kind of people.

I had my roof replaced a couple months ago. It looks great. The job was done quickly and neatly. They installed fans and moved the vents for efficiency and appearance.

Several people in my neighborhood have also used them and we are all happy with the results. Great customer service. I would highly recommend them.

I just called to get some information about an apartment building that the company I work for owns and whoever answered the phone was rude and abrupt. If someone is rude right from the initial inquiry, I couldn't even begin to conceive how business would be after that. The company I work for owns a lot of buildings in the LA area, that need a lot of work, with a little better customer service and tact, these roofing contractors had the potential to make good costumers out of us. The customer service experience begins with a conversation and if that's too difficult for this company, they shouldnt be working with the general public.

Lomeli Roofing is the best! Ruben and his team did the roof for our house back when we remodeled it in 2009 and it looks as good today as it did then. When I had an issue with a small leak, Ruben himself came out and figured out where the issue was, came back and repaired it and didn't charge me a penny. He stands by his work - which is exceptional! You will not get a better customer service experience. I HIGHLY recommend you use Lomeli Roofing for your roofing needs!

I feel lucky to have found Lomeli Roofing. (And yes, I found the company through Yelp. Yay, Yelp.)

Ruben Lomeli was upfront about everything in the process, from the initial estimate to final cleanup. We needed a flat, rolled composition roof replacement (Most of the roof area is comp, the other section, a pitched tile roof, did not need replacing.)

The job took two days, exactly what Ruben said it would. His crews arrived on time both days--a little early, actually. They had a big job, too--we had FIVE layers of composition roof needing removal, which I learned is actually two layers more than the legal limit. (Translation: rather than remove and install a new roof, the previous owners simply kept adding layer after layer. Once you're past three layers, you're breaking L.A. city building codes, due to the increasing weight, a real dangerous gamble.)

At first I was concerned about how much water-damaged wood (from rain leakage) beneath the comp rolls would have to be replaced. But Ruben's bid included all labor on lumber replacement. The lumber itself is very inexpensive. I already knew there was some bad wood up there, but didn't know how much. True to Ruben's ballpark guess, the final additional lumber expense was a little over $100. No big.

I had four estimates before I chose Lomeli, but it was a no-brainer--Ruben's was by far the lowest bid. So low, in fact, that I wondered if there was something fishy about it. But I did my research and the materials and processes Lomeli Roofing used were exactly what the others were promising with their bids.

One estimate was upwards of $16,000--more than THREE TIMES Ruben's bid. The final Lomeli bill, including wood and city permit, was three grand less than the next lowest bid. I can't say he'll beat others' bids so dramatically, but he was way beyond competitive.

Happy ending all around. Ruben was an absolute pleasure to deal with, the finished work looks good, his crews were very efficient and the overall experience was a very positive one.

Lomeli gets my five-star rating without hesitation. Ruben rocks!
