CONSUMER ALERT!! CONSUMER ALERT!

We contracted with this (business) in November of 2020. Finish was may 2022. This company and all its employees are rude,obnoxious or just flat out lie. We spent almost 40000 on this job and they just didn't give one care. Finishers were there several times of which the job was never completed or they ruined something else. We decided to do the finish ourselves. Save yourself if you are thinking of using this company. Zero customer service as they never answer the phone and nobody there knows a thing about what is going on. They will drag their heels about your job but to call demanding last payment before the job was even finished?? Horrible Horrible!! I would not refer them to my worst enemy. Sorry to have ever dealt with them. Disgusted!!!

I do not recommend them. rational as follows:
1.Contracting: on November 16th I contracted the service and I was informed that it would take 6 months. This was not the case because it was not until August (3 months more) that we were able to get the products installed.
2. Service: from the time of contracting to the date of installation no one informed me of the status of the order and at all times I had to call to claim the status and progress.
3. Installation: the team that came was very unprofessional and not only left everything dirty but they broke one of the windows in one of the rooms and the day they left my house they did it at 10pm and 4 windows were left unsealed, the playroom door could not close and one of the doors handle missing.
4. Post-sale: after weeks I am still asking them to solve the pending issues and I had no one in the company to call me to inform me the status and when they will solve the pending issues. In the call center they always tell me that they will send inspectors and they came two of them since they are checking everything that needs to be done and no one does anything. even I talk to the company CEO, but no changes.

Are you looking for a company that does great work, returns phone calls, and delivers on a signed contract and verbal promises? How about one which only needs to measure once; therefore, not keeping you hanging for 15 months for the job to be completed? Do you want them to apologize for mistakes they make, corrects their mistakes, and demand payment before the job is complete? Have you considered working with a company that has all documents ready for inspection so that the inspector is not required to come out twice? If you are then LockTight Impact Windows and Doors is not the hurricane impact windows company you should work with.
We were deceived and lied to. It was not because of a supply chain issue that our project went way over the requested time frame. It was because of errors on their end. They measured incorrectly and then partially completed the job. They did not have all paperwork ready for the inspector once the final item was completed, causing their installers to revisit our home, remove already installed items, take photos and then reinstall. The inspector made two trips which is something he's not done before. My neighbor who used LTIWD, on a recommendation I regret providing, was told by LTIWD that if she provided a 5-star rating they would take $250 off her final bill. Do not make the same mistake we made. They have 3.5 stars and an A+ rating with the BBB is deceiving. This is a company that I recommend running far away from and one that does not deserve their rating with the BBB.

We ordered windows from them at the end of January. They were finally installed at the beginning of September. It is now the end of October and they still haven't done the post installation and inspection wrap up. They were a no show today and we had removed everything from in front of and around the windows for access. Now it all needs to be moved back.in place.
They have no regards for a client's time. We have to hound them to even respond. However, when they wanted payment, they violated PACE Program regulations and insisted that we send the authorization in so they could be paid, even though the work wasn't completed or inspected. How they've managed to stay in business is beyond me. I wish I had done more research before signing a 35 plus thousand dollar contract.

WARNING! Do not use this company! I signed a contract with them on 12/19/21 and as of 10/26/22 still do not have a completed job, although they claim it is finished. See the attached picture of the hardware showing on my glass sliding door! The material was here, in my house, to cover this, but it was actually stolen by the last 2 employees that came to complete the job. After many attempts to call the company, with pictures sent to them, I was able to talk to Venessa and Mike in the service department, and they told me this is the way it is supposed to look. What an insult! I wrote emails to one of the owners, Billy Shapiro, explaining the problem. He emails back saying he will contact the service dept. I have never heard back from anyone!! All they want is your money up front and then you're on your own! Terrible company to deal with!! Liars and crooks!!

We ordered our impact windows in October 2021 and I know Covid has slowed down the supply chain but it took 8 months to get the windows and doors installed. And when they were installing them, the subcontractor took out our old windows in one room before confirming he had the replacements on the truck so they had to board up our house for 4 months while we waited for a new windows to get ordered, shipped from South America and installed. The installation was ok but the first punch-out team was new and not very good. However the supervisor Kenny and his partner Jorge were the best! They knocked out a lot of issues in a few hours and saved the day! They had good prices and excellent quality windows. I would recommend them for your impact windows and doors.

Stay away from LockTight, amazing sales pitch, horrible service! Destruction all around, window sills, sprinkler system pump, broken glass everywhere! Too many problems to list!!

Placed my order (1/31/22) and patiently waited 8 months for my windows to arrive, no problem I understand it a ""supply chain issue"".
Finally my windows arrived and they scheduled the install mid August. The team that came destroyed my window frames, stood on top of my sprinkler system pump to reach the top of the window and broke it, $600 and a month later they still have not reimbursed me as they said they would.

Passed inspection 2 weeks ago and they still have not completed the work.
I had several issues with the door handles, still wholes covered with blue tape as the handles are not available, or are in the warehouse or they forget to bring them, all screws are still exposed, they have not completed sealing them, huge gaps sealed with caulking, now it's receding, leaving openings.

Every time I call and/or email, it's all promises and apologies but no action, last week they were supposed to come finish, they did not show up, i emailed and they called me back, they promised they would be here today at 9:30am, it is 1:30pm and no sign of them.

They demanded I paid in full otherwise they would not schedule the inspection, DO NOT FALL FOR THAT, the county inspector told me I could have scheduled the inspection, I did not have to pay in full.

They still have not finished the work, horrible, horrible customer service, horrible installers, horrible company to work with!

STAY AWAY FROM LOCKTIGHT WINDOWS, THEY ARE THE WORST!

Paid large down payment 3 weeks ago and haven't heard from them yet for measurements. I was told 21/2 weeks ago that measurements were in the way & nothing yet. Bad customer service. And now it's too late to get a refund.

My final service with Eddie and Jeff was perfect. However the experience with the rest of the company was below par. Finally someone came to do a real job to fix the final issues. Thanks Eddie and Jeff.

I am very happy with my new impacted hurricane proof front door and sliding glass door. They came over and the install was very smooth and took there time making sure everything was done correctly. Renovations can be stressful but locktight took a burden off my shoulder. Thanks for being professional and caring. Defianly recommend this company
