John was suggested by a relative and the following was my experience:

He said he would follow up and go over the contract again, the day before installation, and he did not.

On the day of the roof being replaced, a man dropped the crew, none of which spoke English and left. I was under the belief the Fascia was part of the contract, and as such made numerous attempts to contact someone at the company to confirm, as John had disappeared and nobody on the job could communicate given the language barrier.

John arrived at the job site midway through and again states, ""Yes, the fascia is being replaced"".

After leaving the job and completing the roof the fascia was still in dispute. I left countless messages at the Lubbock location, the central call center, the managers line and never had any call except from John and only after placing a hold on my check.

At the time John discussed the contract with me, 3 other contractors were inside the residence and heard exactly what I stated I had heard.

Also, I was under extremely challenging circumstances with my health. The unnecessary stress it caused me is immeasurable and would have been easily avoided with that simple follow up prior to starting the job, as well as providing a hard copy of the bid .

I was never given a hard copy of the scope of work prior to starting the job. I was not emailed a copy of the docusign, as has been my experience on every docusign prior to Linear Roofing.

It took countless requests to John to finally get the contract to me, long after the job was completed. That was my mistake in allowing any work prior, and a hard lesson learned. In fact, I normally never move ahead without clarity, but in the hast the insulating factors were overlooked and thus, my experience was absolutely horrific.

Only John can answer as to why he failed to provide the written documents prior to starting the job. My failure to demand it (and trust given he was referred by a relative) left the ability to leave out a critical component I believed was included.

Even in his sales pitch it was misleading and I later told him as such. Despite bringing this to his attention, he kept it up.

I had a roughly 70% renovation and of all the contractors whom worked on the property, John and Linear Roofing were the only company I had any single issue with. To date he has refused to provide me with a manager or supervisor and has frankly denied it saying he represents the whole area. I don't know what that has to do with a manager given he is not the owner.

I give it below a zero due to the fact that all issues could've easily been avoided had John done his job with honesty and integrity. Providing a statement after the fact does very little to satisfy a very dissatisfied customer.

I would not use Linear Roofing EVER again, nor recommend them to anyone, period. I'm still troubled by having an entire crew dropped off and left, with not one able to communicate with the customer.
