Contacted Lindholm in 2013 to replace a roof in Miami. After the roof replacement, we had a leak near our chimney. When reporting the issue, it was stated that the chimney needed to be replaced and it was our problem. After many failed attempts to seal the chimney, six years later, we have engaged other roofers to help. Three different estimates point to the original installation as the issue. When contacting Lindholm, I was told they do not work in Miami anymore and that I was out of luck. I waited a long time, 6 years, to get a quote to remove the chimney. I had to wait until I could afford the job, and the leak was somewhat manageable. The mistake I made was trusting the word of Rick Lindholm and his company, instead of pressing the issue further and fighting it contractually. It's a learning lesson for me, as sometimes you get burned by companies that have no accountability or desire to help other human beings. As of now, I hired a reputable roofing contractor and they repaired both the chimney and sky light hack jobs and now I have no leaks! Original chimney still intact! Really tough to be taken advantage of as a first time home buyer trying to get insurance and navigating the waters of Miami home repair.

I would not recommend Lindholm Roofing to anyone.

Rick(Richard) Lindholm treated me like dirt on the one and only phone call we had.Rick Lindholm was very good a blaming me for all the things he said I did wrong,such as ""not telling him we had damaged wood"" and ""no electricity"" at the property. He berated me for 30 minutes on the phone after his salesperson went to the home and inspected it in person to assess the damage and the cost to replace the roof!!!!.

He should have known the condition of the wood as his company sent out the person to inspect and give us a quote.The roof was already 1/2 torn off and you could clearly see from the inside of the home the underlining wood. everything was clearly visible to your representative upon inspection.

Rick Lindholm used this as an excuse to add $1,500 more to his bid and actually said to me ""What do you want me to do,I can pack up everything and leave now""after we had already paid him a $2,500 deposit !!!!!

The bottom line is Rick Lindholm wanted to increase the price of the job !

The home was hit by a hurricane and had 3 feet of water go thru it. What did you expect!

Rick (Richard) Lindholm then asked me ""can you call a neighbor or someone that will allow us to use there electric with our electric cord. What kind of contractor does this ?

After he completed the roof replacement the Monroe County Building Dept noted that the repair work he did to the truss was unprofessional and required an engineer to inspect and sign off on it.Putting a hold on all future work permits until it is done.

Abbey Lindholm repeatedly lied to me in writing (3) times over a (1) month period promising to have the work inspected.

Lastly,Lindholm roofing did not provide me with the proper legal disclosure ""Release of Lien""as required by Florida statue""

I filed a formal complaint with the Florida Dept. of Business and Professional Regulation.

Lindholm Roofing is not a company that I would ever recommend to anyone. I give them ZERO stars.

Price gouged me badly. I have been quoted at 13,500 from 3 other companies and they quoted me at 26,000 dollars. I am offended and quite honestly disgusted they would do this to a local business owner. They quoted me at 9 k prior to the storm.

Back in 2010 I hired them to do a roof on my house. The contract stated they would pull a permit which they never did. They did get caught and had to apply for a permit which they never followed through with. So years later I have an open code compliance case getting ready to go to court which I never knew about, I thought it was all handled by Lindholm. I showed the copy of my contract to the county and they closed the case.

Extremely professional, prompt and affordable. Nichole in the office, the contractor's wife is so friendly and efficient, I spoke to her on a Thursday and they just so happened to have a slot fall open on Saturday with their gutter guy, Victor. He was on time and did a beautiful job. Our gutters were destroyed by Hurricane Irma and it has been so hard to find responsible and honest contractors in such a small area of the Keys. What a relief to find the Lindholm's. I plan on using them in the future and I highly recommend them. I'm a Licensed homebuilder in Colorado.

Rick and daughter Allie did a great job getting our new metal roof installed on our Ramrod Key home. Rick's crews (one for tear-off of old asphalt shingles and one for installation of the metal roof) were neat, tidy and very professional. They had the job completed in 2 days! I highly recommend this company to others looking for a competent roofing contractor that is dedicated and committed to excellence!

I already had interactions with Rick, from work done at his home, and from other jobs he had done in the Keys. Late last year, we had to call him, to address a pesky roof leak in flashing work. His supervisor, Ozzie, came right out, and the repair got done in the days that followed. So when we became obligated to replace the whole roof--our home insurance company cancelled our policy, because our roof was ""in disrepair,"" their words, not mine--I called Rick back for an estimate. Out of four companies I called, only 2 sent an estimator out. Ozzie was there the day after I called, and the others--well, that required calling them back to get on the schedule. Two out of the four never called me back: they don't take new customers seriously, I suppose.
Lindholm came in with a good quote, and it included the cost of permitting; competitor's quote did not. Moreover, in reference to promptness: if I have to call YOU, the boss, to get you to come out, that doesn't build confidence for future dealings.
The scheduled week came, and the workers were there for two days. I was amazed at how hard they worked--it was 90 degrees and sticky, with little or no breeze. The job was completed a day ahead of schedule, and the inspector completed his task, finalizing the work. No hidden details, issues, or messes to clean up! Maybe this is routine for most contractors, but this is the Florida Keys--where services are often late or no-show, and with no consideration.
All in all, a great experience. Rick, you and your staff are to be commended for your professionalism and expertise. I was an AC and heating contractor for 30 years, so that makes me a picky customer. I didn't have to be picky. Not once! The roof got its test yesterday, and during a violent thunderstorm, noise from water pelting down was nearly nonexistent.

Just had Lindholm put on a new metal roof on our Keys home. Have not seen a company as professional in a long time, great job! First to give us a bid, kept to it, great work done by workers who knew what they were doing. Loved how they ALWAYS called you right back -- their customer service is exceptional. Their ""front-of-the-house person"" Abby is the best, so pleasant and professional. All aspects of the job were excellent, even the insurance reporting certifications! Highly recommended.
