I launched my company in 1993. One key insight I've gained is that if you want quality work, you need to oversee it personally - or partner with reliable, knowledgeable professionals. This is the reason I take on both roles. I work with a committed group of diverse tradespeople who specialize in multiple areas at my command. We’ve worked together for a long time - whether I’m involved in their work or they’re assisting me - and we understand each other's expectations.
Maintaining quality and efficiency is crucial, but the trust I build with my customers is my top priority. I will thoroughly review the project before I declare the job finished. Every proposal is clearly outlined and broken down regarding what is included and what is excluded. Details about materials and fixture allowances are explicit, ensuring there is no confusion about the project scope.
My name is Barney Gaxiola, and I own Lexington Home Services (CSL #681257). I began my business in 1993 in Sacramento, CA. Originally from San Francisco, I started working in construction in 1978. I have experience in various construction trades until I established my business in 1993. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with different city agencies on their housing improvement and development projects. Cities I’ve worked with include Sacramento, Roseville, along with Citrus Heights. My projects have always been approved after inspections with high marks. I actively engage with the City of Roseville on rehabilitation projects and have maintained this relationship for over a decade. I have learned a great deal over time. Remodeling always introduces fresh challenges, but I’ve learned that the more experience you gain, the simpler the challenges become. I am proud of my commitment to quality, clean craftsmanship at very competitive prices.

We hired Barney to be our GC/Contractor for our remodel of 796 Gathering Ct prior to listing for sale. We had several projects to complete in the house.

Barney tackled all of these jobs with determination and diligence even though every aspect of the plumbing was extremely difficult due to pipe connections that wouldn't come free for replacement. He was amazing with that!
The subfloor repairs, we couldn't believe how it turned out, and our floor installers were extremely impressed as well.
We also, during our home inspections found cracks in our foundation. We were having having trouble getting a contractor out to address the issue because everyone was saying the underside of our house was 'muddy' and flooded due to the large amount of rain we had in the winter of 2022. Barney went above and beyond by putting on a crawl suit, going under the house and doing a face-time call with the contractor to show him the issue, as well as prove the area under the house was completely dry. Doing that cleared the concern of the foundation contractor and we were able to get that fixed in a jiffy.
The end result of Barney's efforts in our house was a super excited Realtor, many, many positive comments during the Open House and private walk throughs, and ultimately a clean slate for the buyers that made it a truly 'turn key' sale above our asking price.
If you are thinking about hiring Barney for your job, I can attest that he has all the knowledge, experience, and skill, for whatever he will face, and as I said with our 32 year old plumbing, the determination to get the job done without delays and to make it look brand new.
He also went above the call by cleaning all 3 shower/tub enclosures and removing the old caulking and installing new caulking. Such workmanship had 4 potential buyers comment about how we 'replaced' the enclosures, even though we didn't.

Lisa P.Barney G. has been my go-to contractor for years. He manages every aspect of a rebuild to a simple fix and replace. He replaced our sagging deck in no time. The concrete footings had to be replaced and stabilized. The new deck is so solid, I have total confidence in having a number of people on it without fear of collapse. We had a few single pane windows replaced (wood frame was dry rotted). He replaced the bad wood, reframed for the new windows and installed before we knew it. We have a few other house projects slated for this year and I know who we will be calling. Thank you Barney!
