I spoke with various roofers after Hurricane Beryl and went with Legendary Roofing for my roof repair and maintenance. Angel with Legendary Roofing provided a fair cost estimate and a good time estimate for the work after personally assessing the job scope with a walk-through. Other roofers seemed to be more interested in selling me a new roof. I was promptly added to the schedule and they neatly did the job within the communicated timeframe. There were no surprises and I was happy with the job and communication.

Spoke with Edgar via Yelp messaging and I told him my roof leaking problem. He's very friendly, engaging and asks the right questions. He ask if I can send a picture of the issue, he then knew what needs to be done, explained everything and give confident answers including a FAIR price in my opinion and with warranty.

They came the next day, Jose and Edgar, look at what's going on and work on the fix right away. They cleaned up after and explained very well what was done and what caught their attention, showed pictures, of what can cause future issues and suggestions on how to move forward.

Overall very respectful and trustworthy, open to give work details even with pictures and would highly recommend all day everyday.

I can't recommend Legendary Roofing enough. Many companies were trying to rip my wife and I off. Some of these companies were even highly recommended on Yelp. Tropical Storm Beta did a number on my roof and caused water to leak onto my garage ceiling, causing a portion of it to collapse. Edgar from Legendary Roofing was extremely friendly and responsive to all my communications and arrived the day after the leak occurred. I actually didn't get his number from Yelp either, but as a recommendation from a fellow neighbor. He quickly pinpointed the cause of the leak and was upfront and honest. He was quick to mention that my roof was in good condition, but that only two areas of my garage roofing needed to be repaired. He also took numerous pictures of the damaged areas of roof damage that needed to be repaired. He also addressed other areas where potential leakage could occur and took several pictures of shingles and areas of my roof where leaking did not occur, but were heavily damaged from Harvey. I had estimates from over 7 other companies and all of them wanted to replace my entire garage roof and upsold the severity of the damage. My wife almost gave in to their scare tactics, but Edgar assured me that the roof was fine and only those two areas needed to be repaired. Just to perform the same repairs that Edgar would do, they were charging more than double the price.

Short answer: trustworthy, quick, detailed explanation and great price.

Long answer: I bought a townhouse in 2017, and shortly after I experienced a leak after a really bad storm. I had 4 roof repair companies come out to give me an estimate. It turned out, I had a leak around one pipe jack. Most gave me the option to seal around or replace the whole pipe jack and seal. The prices varied, but a coupe wanted to charge me double the others for pipe jack replacement.

Finally, I got one last quote from José at Legendary Roofing. He gave me such a detailed explanation of the repair and my options. He charged me the same as the lower end quotes I received for the pipe jack replacement, but he also replaced all the pipe jacks on my house and did roof maintenance for that price. He also noticed some broken shingles from a tree rubbing against my house and replaced that too, all for a great price. I felt like he cared and took his time. And he showed me detailed pictures of everything done.

Now, in 2020, he was the only one I called when I had a leak in a new area. He provided great detail, showed pictures of what was happening and showed me in my attic as well where a potential new leak could happen. He even gave me the option to seal the problem children for free versus replacing the plywood and shingles. I went with his recommendation to replace the plywood and shingles, and he also included some vents to my attic/roof for the cost. The repair was complete two days later.

I was first introduced to this company when Jeromy who lives in the neighborhood was walking by and noticed a few missing shingles on my roof. He did climb up on the roof and point out the ones that needed to be fixed. He offered to seal my roof for $200. I told him I would have to talk about it with my wife and get back with him. He then told me he would ""cut me a deal"" and do it for $80. I was doing my research about their company. I liked the idea that he lived in my neighborhood and was local. I noticed they he offered bartering for the repair. I shot him an email and he told me if I got him a computer desk for his truck, he would do the repair in exchange for that. I found a place where I could order them and found one that fits his model truck. I was ready to pull the trigger. I called and emailed him a few times and heard nothing back. A few months passed, I ran into him at HEB. I told him again that I found his desk that I was ready for him to come over and fix my roof and never heard back from him again.

Fast forward a few more months and there is a knock at my door. It is Jeromy. He was pointing out the missing shingles on my roof and again started with his, ""I will do it for $200 sale pitch."" I responded, ""$200? You told me $80 the last time."" He looked at me freaked out,""When did I say that?"" I had explained he offered this when he offered to fix my roof for free if I got him a computer desk and he never contacted me. He then said, ""I will do it for $80.""

What Jeromy did not know is I had folks already on my roof who installed an solar attic fan and we did go and make sure there was no missing shingles. I even have roofing compound to fix the tiles that are lifted up. After Jeromy left, I immediately called the guy who was up on my roof and he told me he would fix tack down those tiles, no problem. My cost? Lunch at Pluckers.
