Luis showed up within 30 minutes of my first call. He looked around on the roof and sent me a written estimate the next day with a couple of options. We scheduled the job for 2 weeks later. His crew showed up on time, replaced all the existing facia, and removed and replaced the entire roof in 4 days. Each day they cleaned up whatever mess they made. I was very satisfied with the entire process.

Luis and the LCG team did a great job replacing the roof on our new house in Torrance. We found him through his great reviews online, both on Yelp and Reddit.

He was very responsive and offered the most competitive quote up front, which is why we chose LCG over other options. My wife and I were deciding on our shingles up until the last minute, and Luis was very accommodating, promptly leaving samples at our door and even referring us to nearby houses so we could check out the colors. We were also on a tight schedule, coordinating the roofing around other contractors. Luis and team were flexible to our needs and completed ahead of schedule.

Luis was very responsive to follow-ups as well. Our back door screen was ripped during the install. Once we brought it to Luis' attention, he promptly sent someone out to replace the screen. He also returned with a small crew for 1-2 other spot repairs after we noticed some fascia/rafter tails that had been left unprimed.

The city inspector complimented us on the quality of the roof work, and mentioned that he had been impressed with the LCG roofing work he had been inspecting around town.

We did have to work through a misunderstanding on pricing. If your roof needs any spot repairs to the underlying decking, I'd highly recommend you discuss MAXIMUM COST with Luis at the time of your estimate.

In our case, the initial LCG estimate listed a per-sheet (plywood) and per-foot (1x6) cost for spot repairs. It also listed a flat-rate cost if the ""whole roof needed new plywood."" As first time homeowners, we understood this large flat rate to mean the maximum cost if all the decking needed replacement, so we interpreted this as an upper bound to the quote.

Unfortunately, after completing spot repairs on our roof (only replacing 20-30% of the decking), Luis sent us an updated invoice for decking that was actually ABOVE the aforementioned ""all new plywood"" price (which, again, we thought was the maximum we would pay). Honestly, we were shocked and upset.

Luis explained that the ""full replacement"" quote was only for plywood, and didn't apply to the 1x6 decking that our roof needed. What was also confusing was that we couldn't really make sense of his footage used based on the square footage of the roof, and the amount we had seen replaced. After some back and forth, Luis did ultimately offer to meet us in the middle, and cut several thousand off of the change order.

I'm still leaving 5 stars because we did chalk it up to an honest misunderstanding based on the materials needed, and Luis was responsive as we tried to work through it together. However, I'd encourage anyone working with Luis just to discuss this in more detail in advance.

Besides the decking, all of the other pricing factors were very straightforward and transparent! We would work with Luis + LCG again for another roofing project.

Luis was great. He was quick to show up for an evaluation along with the quote for a replacement roof. He walked me through the entire process. Luis also was upfront about the potential additional costs if hidden wood damage was discovered under the old shingles which other roofers downplayed. Once the old shingles were off he even let go up on the roof with him so I could see for myself which planks needed replacing. His crew worked at a rapid pace so in 3.5 days I had a beautiful new roof. I would highly recommend LCG Roofing for either a new or replacement roof.

Thank you Luis for preparing a corrected invoice in response to my updated Yelp review. I am super relieved to learn that the majority of your customers are with SCE and didn't have to deal with the frustration of not being able to receive a qualifying invoice. For the record, Cool Roof rebate ""funding is limited and rebates are not guaranteed. This program shall at all times be subject to change or termination without notice."" It's a first come first serve basis and time is of the essence. I waited a very long time before posting an update. After all, how hard is it just to receive an invoice for actual services rendered?

In my case, they already reviewed the application and gave me until 9/23 to resubmit with the requested documentation; it's not accurate to state that the deadline is 12/31/24. I had given up after you chose to disregard my request for a corrected invoice. In either case, thank you. Looks like there's still a chance although I'm responding to their 8/19 request nearly a month later.

LCG did an amazing job with our roof install! The rain was pouring through sounding like a waterfall and turns out the wood was rotten over the extension of the house. They completely fixed it and fixed a few other issues (water run off that was going into the garage, replaced an incorrectly installed skylight) that we were not even aware of. They took pride in their work and completed everything in a timely manner considering how LA was going through Hurricane Hilary. After a few months our roof is still perfect and looks wonderful! We were so happy to work with them and we have recommended them to all our neighbors.

I just finished building an ADU and our rent house needed a new roof as well. I am so impressed at the professional, quick, friendly and amazingly great work that LCG roofing did for my house roof. I contacted four roofing companies. LCG Roofing responded quickly with an estimate that was detailed and 30% lower than two estimates.

I was worried because this was my first time dealing with Luis based on yelp reviews, but I couldn't be more pleased.

Within the first day, there were three teams - one team to take down old roofing, another for cleanup, with the third performing the re roof. Within two hours, the old roof was gone, the city inspector had come, the shingles and underlay had been offloaded. Luis explained the additional work to be done.

Our house is 75 years old and there was significant rotten wood that needed to be replaced. We also asked that the fascia be replaced as well.

The change order detailed and itemized the additional wood that needed to be replaced at the cost listed in the original contract.

Luis and Kevin explained and showed me the new vents, flashings that were painted to the same color of our new roof.

His team was punctual, respectful and worked hard. He had a team of five to six guys working from 7 am to 2:30 pm.

Luis responded quickly to my concerns and questions. This is day three and the work is done.

Only thing left is for the city inspector to come tomorrow to inspect the new roof. Luis also asked me to let him know if we had any questions or issues.

I was so pleased that I asked Luis for an estimate for another house we own.
