We ended up using Lansford to completely reroof our home. We also went with his suggested vendor for new rain gutters. He did an excellent job, on time and budget. He repaired our leaky skylights too. He also worked the licensing with the county (yes an inspector had to sign off).

The rain gutters are also working.

It's been two years. No leaks. Everything works. Highly recommend.

So here in funky Altadena the owner of Lansford Roofing showed up on time and IN THE RAIN for our 8am appointment. He measured the roof, pointed out several options, gave clear feedback. In short a thoroughly professional experience.

He answered all questions (contractors license, full name and address so we can look him up, insurance, start and end time, references, workers comp -yeah I have a list) and provided a sample book of roofing options for our zone. He also pointed out our skylights needed replacing. We knew that, as leaks have developed around them. He was also able to recommend a company for skylights and one for eaves/gutters.

I'm still doing my homework but based on the initial meeting he is worthy of a five star rating for the initial appointment.

Even if we are just Altadena. Weather doesn't care!.

Lansford roofing showed up on time on Friday for estimate. Inspected roof, and agreed that I would only need a roof on top of existing. Showed me roofing material matching existing. Said he would email estimate by Sunday. Nothing. The following week I left two phone messages. NO call back or email. Totally unprofessional. Wasted my time.

I have had the same roof since I moved in almost 10 years ago and got a leak in one of my rooms during the most recent rainstorm. I wasn't sure if I needed a small repair or if it was just time to replace the entire roof. So, I called some roofing specialists from Yelp for estimates.

Robert Lansford arrived for the estimate on time and promptly went up to the roof after I showed him where the leak was. When he came back, he told me my roof is in pretty good shape and can last another 5 years. He explained what kind of repairs are needed, and when I asked him when he was available, he told me he was only available for total replacement given the amount of work he had lined up. But he told me it would cost me about $1200 for the repairs.

I was a little taken aback initially by Robert's abruptness, but then I realized he's just an all-business kind of guy and I was so appreciative of the information he gave me, even though he knew he wouldn't be doing this project. That was valuable information that helped me decide on the roof specialist I eventually hired, who ended up with almost identical recommendations and the same estimate. Robert seems like an honest, straight-shooter, and I will definitely keep him in mind when it's time for me to replace my roof.

This is a long past due review for Lansford Roofing. Mr. Lansford is the best in roofing! He recommended the roofing material which was not on the pre-approved list with the city. He did not mind the trouble, went to the city hearing and got the material approved. Now years later, we are so happy that he recommended the best material with reasonable price. We love our new roof. His crew was very professional and finished the job on time. At the time we needed repair due to construction, he arranged repair because we were his customer. I know very little about replacing a roof, let alone hiring the right person to do the job, but every review I read about Lansford Roofing was stellar and for good reasons. My experience with the entire crew from start to finish was professional and without any kind of worry on my part. Robert took the time to explain everything and answer my ignorant questions.
I was delighted with the re-roofing quote (replacing mostly 20+ y/o wood shake) at a very competitive price. Robert then gave me a quote to upgrade the insulation of my 1947 home from R5 to R38 at a nominal price, and it made a HUGE difference in regulating the temperature control in my home! I had been suffering unnecessarily!!
The exterior of my home is nearly complete (next project: rain gutters) and looks fabulous. I'm confident that Lansford Roofing was the right choice!

These guys are great! Robert is honest, up front, and fair. We had an old rotted wooden shake roof that had no decking underneath. These guys came, stripped the entire roof, laid decking across the entire roof and shingled it - - in 3 days!!

He made sure to clean up my yard of any debris and ran a magnet for nails so our four-year-old doesn't get hurt.

Robert's workers are pleasant, courteous and professional. When when I found one minor issue, he came the next day to remedy it.

I've dealt with a lot of contractors but this was about the easiest and most stress free construction experience.
