I called them based on a referral from the roofing company I used that replaced the roof on one of my rental properties. I explained to them what I needed done - seal gutter seams because they were leaking and to repair a possible leak in my living room. So we set up an appointment. I stayed home for them but they didn't show up! No call to at least re-schedule or cancel appointment. If they didn't want to do the job because it's a two story home, they should have at least let me know. I won't have any problem with that. NOT recommended at all.

I needed a very small job done and Mark at Lafayette roofing came thru for me in a timely fashion.
The best part is that I am giving them a 5 Star review for NOT doing the job.
Instead of doing the job and covering up a flaw that could have ""maybe"" been a problem a few years down the road, they recommended me to take a different course of action and even referred me to someone and walked away without charging me a penny.
I really appreciate this kind of integrity and use this company in the future.
Being a contractor myself , I would recommend this company without any reservation.

They did my roofing inspection and repair when I purchased my home and without question Im using them again, now that Im about to sell that home. They are quick, professional, responsive, very reasonably priced.

I called them about roof repair around my chimney and talk to Mark. He said he will be in the area in a few days and will come by to look at the roof. I asked him to call me so I can be there too to help him and direct it to the area of question. He called me the day he came and told me that he could not get on the roof since he needs a ladder. I told him that I have a two story house so I am not sure what he was thinking. We reschedule for another day at 9 am. I took time off work to be there as we agreed. At 9:15 I called him to see if he on his way. He was not even planned to come, He forgot. I am not sure what kind of contractor Lafayette roofing is at the quality and warranty work but I am positive they are not reliable company since they cannot keep the appointment they are set up. Do not get these guys.

I needed a roof inspection for my insurance renewal on our rental house. Called Lafayette Roofing, talked to Mark and scheduled the appointment. Today, Al met me at the property. He examined the roof and gave me his findings. He told me he would get the information to Mark for the final report write up.

I sent an e-mail to Mark this afternoon with the contact information for my carrier, and he replied quickly. Report should be in the insurance company's hands by the end of the day.

Mark is someone I trust referring my clients to. They don't replace roofs, so I know that if they recommend a new roof, my clients really need one. I have used them personally on our own home and have been very pleased. We now have an amazing skylight in our garage and I won't have another home without one. Love it! Great service with a very positive attitude.

In the 16 years we've lived in our home, we've used Lafayette Roofing three times for repairs. They have been very responsive with returning calls, meeting appointment times, sending bids and, best of all, getting the work done. They are also respected by other contractors. Their prices were very fair. I was particularly impressed after the first rain we had after the repair that Benji called to make sure we were satisfied with the repair. I strongly recommend this local family-owned company when you need roof repairs.

I want to edit my initial review. I spoke to the owner and complained about the price. He told me he would look into it, and get back with me. He called a short time later, and agreed to lower the price by almost $400. I appreciate his consideration. Lafayette Roofing specializes in roof inspections and repairs. It makes the realtors happy to use the same company. He explained that they had overestimated the amount of effort needed to accomplish the roof repairs. I still have a little issue with the ability of the roofers to show up on time, and bring the equipment needed to get the work completed. When roof repairs are needed to be completed in order for a house closing it complicates matters when roofers show up unprepared.

I hired this company to inspect and make repairs to my roof. After receiving my estimate I was relieved to see that I could spend a fraction of the cost of repairing my roof instead of replacing it.

They charged me $2895 for one day's work and I found out that they only spot checked the roof. I probably would not have even had a problem being overcharged but some of the stuff they worked on had to be redone. Poor follow up and management style. They kept saying they would work with me on some resolution but after 6 weeks they told me they didn't have any money and was heading toward closing their doors. I would be very wary about hiring them due to their financial status and poor customer service.
