Update: Since I have written this review, the one employee manager who manages their reviews said he wanted to make it right and have it fixed right away - and have someone contact me....... well I haven't heard from anyone. I called and spoke to a salesman who was kind and said he would have someone call me, but then no one ever did. This is getting beyond frustrating.


I want to say that our experience with LA Solar Group has been terrible. I am not the one to rant for no reason but this has been the WORST experience. Emily from a branch has been ""working"" on it but I have no help so far.
We bought our home in March 2020 with PAID solar that was installed 2 years ago. But......... little do we find out that bills still, 7 months later, have no reflection of solar production. I have been in communication with them and they say they have a ""monitoring team"" working on it....... I am sorry, but I and the one paying each month a over $500 In electricity. They don't care. So much for a ""monitoring team"" that didn't see when my electrical box completely caught fire and scorched the inside of the box. I had no clue until I had called month after month saying I have no help with solar on my bills. This has been a nightmare that keeps giving. I would never recommend LA Solar group. They don't care. Only about installing. But after that, good luck. People buy homes all the time that already have solar, and they have no problem like this. Seriously Guys, it's been over 7 months! And NO solar activity helping my bill...... my panels have been generating they say...... so who is getting my energy? Not me........ not one ounce of it reflecting on our bill.

Also might I add that the previous owner had to problems and even the solar company and Edison said that the bills they had showed a large amount of solar coverage and reflection on their bill. So why is it different now???

Watch out......... this company is a joke. We have been beyond patient and kindly doing everything they ask of us but it's ridiculous at this point.

Okay so we purchased solar panels for our roof almost 10 years ago.
We are drenched with sunlight a large portion of every year. Sunny So Cal.
Year ago we heard about the Tesla Powerwall2 battery as a backup storage device. We contacted a 3 companies but did not like their idea of leasing.
That is when LA Solar Group stepped in. Got an email from Greg in March telling me about a deal that was being offered. Ok I said let's see what's up. Greg pointed me to Danny, who became the project manager.
That is when he put me in touch with a REAL BIG reason we continued on with the process to its end.
Nune is her name, let me tell you that this Lady was marvelous. She held my hand at times when I was reconsidering the purchase by providing me with information, or coordinating install visits, even getting me in touch with Patrick, her ""Battery Guru"" to help me set-up my consumption pattern.
Best contact of 2020 for us hands down. We bought a battery right out no leasing, got it installed thanks to Hrach and Senno, as well as permitted thanks to Luis and started making SCE happy enough to reward me with a rebate with the help of the unseen Admin Dept. Thank You LA Solar Group for all you did for us.

My entire experience with LA Solar has been great. Austin Tashakori was my sales rep, and he has been incredibly helpful throughout the process of adding a Tesla backup battery to complement our existing solar panels.

The installation was remarkably simple, and done in such a way as to be as unobtrusive as possible, and also maximize the remaining wall space.

Adding solar panels to my home was one of the smartest things I have ever done, but adding the battery system is simply genius. The solar panels are really not complete without the battery, because the battery does so much more than merely provide backup power. The battery gives me the flexibility to choose when I'm willing to draw power from the grid, as well as continually analyze my solar energy production and consumption. In short, the addition of the battery gives me control that was not there before.

If you are looking to upgrade your system with a battery backup (which is a very smart move these days, considering the state of the power grid), or if you need panels, I'm sure you will get the same friendly, professional service that I did from LA Solar. Be sure to ask for Austin, he's great.

I did A LOT of research into solar (probably too much) and spoke with over 20 solar companies before deciding to go with LA Solar Group for my solar panels. I wasn't looking for the cheapest option out there, but the best value (quality/price). After receiving more than 20 proposals, I made my choice based on 1) the quality of the panels (Panasonic or LG), 2) the inverters (Enphase microinverters), 3) the warranty protection program (was it 25 years for everything?), 4) the mounting/racking being used, 5) the company's history, track record, and reviews, 6) trustworthiness and knowledge of the sales rep, 7) if there was an energy production guarantee being offered, and 8) the competitiveness of the price vs. other companies. Based on those 8 factors, I felt LA Solar Group were offering me the best value and therefore the best overall package. They checked all 8 criteria on my list. In addition, the sales rep (Austin) went above and beyond in terms of being helpful (this was not the case with several other sales reps I spoke with, several of which were pushy and not 100% honest when answering questions). I was admittedly a very (!) high maintenance prospective client and Austin answered literally dozens and dozens of emails and phone calls in a very timely fashion. Not only was he very knowledgeable about the solar industry, but even more importantly he also seemed very honest and not at all pushy. I believe he wanted me ultimately to be happy with my solar decision and had a lot of patience in dealing with me, and also helped design a system that best suited our needs in conjunction with LA Solar Group's design team.

As of yesterday, my solar panels have been installed (only about 2.5 weeks after signing a contract, which was faster than I expected). The installation itself only took one day. As of next week, permission to operate the system could be granted. So far, so good. I can update my review with how this ends but so far, my experience with LA Solar Group has been very good as they have provided me with what I think is a very good quality solar system, at a competitive price, and in a timely fashion.

The process was smooth, they showed up on time every time. Permits were done fast! I have my install complete in 3-4 weeks.

I was only interested in Panasonic HIT+ Solar panel because I did lots of research since I am Electrical Engineer and understand technology so call Panasonic Corp and they give me three of their dealers based on my zip code. I call all of them and LA Solar Group were the the lowest price. Austin Tashakori Sales person I deal with all paperwork's and process were smooth. I got 35 panel of 335W and one Tesla Battery and install main panel. I want main panel to installed because had water damage issue in the past. The installer install my Tesla Charger on wall without charging any extra. Then four month later went again with them for second Tesla Battery. All of the process was smooth and payment made in three step as I agreed. I highly recommend them for Solar Project. Great service from Austin.

Love our solar panels from LA Solar! Can't say enough great things about working with our sales rep Austin Tashakori. Austin explained everything thoroughly and slowly for this Solar novice. We had a fairly big project with 40 panels. Austin was there for me every step of the way, even when a couple of things got mixed up. But it was all no problem. A bit of patience, and communication with Austin and we were good to go. The rest of the people I met from LA Solar were speedy and knowledgeable. After getting this recommendation from a friend, I'm glad I went with LA Solar.

I spent $50k on a system with them. It was installed in April. Here it is mid-October and they have still not finished the punchlist/cleanup items, although I have talked to them God knows how many times, and their guys have come over a half dozen times but it never gets finished. Finally, even though the job is not complete, they said for the first time that if I don't pay the final bill of $500 today, they will cut off my service. I am so done with this company.

Great communication and follow through from our salesperson Austin. He stopped by and gave our solar project his personal attention. We have recommended LA Solar to our neighbors. Very fairly priced, if you are looking to add solar to your home, LA Solar Group is who you should call. Installers worked very quickly and did a great job. The project manager Greg was also extremely helpful.
