I'm relieved that we have another alternative to save money on our roof instead of spending thousands of dollars to replace the whole thing. With our solar panels, it was refreshing to know we had another way to give my roof a new life.

I was happy that they were a local family business and understood the kind of climate our roofs go through. My husband and I were discussing that it may be time to have our roof done since it's about 30 years old, and then we see Koolau Roof Tech's commercial. Texted Kirt about coming to see if our roof qualified for the treatment. I was so happy when it did. Kirt is extremely professional and honest. He doesn't just treat the roof but does minor repairs, such as replacing rain collars and sealing exposed nails. You will also receive before and after photos with details. I was getting granules of shingle material coming out of my rain gutter downspouts after heavy rains, and my roof shingles were getting dark with algae.

It bothered me because my 10-year-old roof has a 30-year warranty. I thought the roof was supposed to last longer before breaking down, but it was showing signs of wear and tear under Hawaii's sun.

I saw the commercial for Koolau Roof Tech and decided to call for an estimate.

Kirt was quick to reply via text, email, and phone.

He came to my home, on time, and completed his estimate that included a detailed report of my roof (with pictures of damaged areas.)

The estimate includes a roof tune -up to repair the items noted in his report.

This was really convenient since I did not have to look for another contractor, get estimates and schedule the repair work.

I hired Koolau Roof Tech for the treatment and roof tune up work.

Roof repairs were done, the treatment was completed, and pictures were taken for me to reference.

Kirt and his crew left my house cleaner than when they started since they had to wash down my sidewalks to wash off the treatment over spray from the roof.

Kirt told me he would inspect my roof yearly which is comforting to know.

Kirt said it takes time for the treatment to be absorbed by the shingles and for the roof to look brighter.

I recommend Kirt and Koolau Roof Tech if you want to give your roof some TLC and want to work with a Kamaaina company that provides excellent customer service.

I contacted Kirt from Koolau Roof Tech about applying a sealant to my asphalt shingles that were starting to lose a lot of granules. He came to do an estimate soon after I contacted him and he took a lots of photos to show the current condition of my roof. He explained everything thoroughly and it was a pleasant experience talking to someone who shows a lot of concern. Kirt and his crew did a fantastic job and cleaned up everything very nicely. He sent lots of photos again after he completed the job showing all the repairs he did to the roof. I would recommend Koolau Roof Tech to anyone!

Came home on a Sunday w a puddle of water on my kitchen floor with water actively dripping from the light fixture above my head AND a bubble of water that's 5 inches in diameter next to the light fixture . Went through the list of ""Roofing Companies"" to see which roofer was actually open on a Sunday and landed on a 5-star Koolau Roof Tech. Kirt not only asked a lot of diagnostic questions over the phone so he could better understand the root of the problem, but he also ended up coming to my house to do more investigating of the source of the leak. He checked out the roof as well as journeyed through the attic crawl space to see what was going on. He's an honest businessman who knows his stuff and will give you his expert opinion on best next steps. (Sometimes, some small business owners get high makamaka and act all ""show off"" thinking they're all that. Not Kirt. He's humble and a nice guy.)

We were looking for a way to lengthen the life of our roof without having to re-roof the whole house. We found Ko'olau Roof Tech in the Renovation section of the newspaper. Kirt Kobashigawa came out and did an estimate for a roof tune up and rejuvenation. He explained the process to us and took photos of the roof, including little nail breaks and small repairs. Kirt and his father came out the following week and did a total rejuvenation of the roof. Kirt provided us with photos of the roof after the process was done. We were so pleased with the service provided. From start to finish Kirt was very professional and courteous. Kirt is professional, generous and nice to work with! We found Koolau Roof Tech from a desperate online search, when our roof was leaking during a heavy rain. He came out to us in the middle of the rain only a few hours after we called and solved the issue. We had recently coated our roof with gaco ourselves and had someone replace the skylights so we weren't sure where the leak was coming from. Out of the kindness of his heart he helped us patch some holes and solve the leak issue even though our problem isn't what his company specializes in.
