I am very pleased with KLC Construction. Ken Sr and Ken Jr are obviously a father and son duo. Once you meet Junior you realize the apple doesn't fall far from the tree! Both are attentive, responsive and honest in their work. I found their bid to be fair, not the cheapest nor the most expensive. This is a family run business with Mrs. Lock (Elsa) working in the office, away from the job sites. I used them to replace a 26 year old roof at the same time I added a solar system to my roof. I am a senior citizen and have worked with many contractors over the years and highly recommend KLC Construction. I plan on using them again!

We found this company on Yelp. We are in the process of purchasing a new home. There was a roof rafters issue that raised a concern from the inspection report.
We wanted to send out our own contractor to assess the problem. KLC got back to us within one business day. They sent Ken Sr. To do the assessment.
They are very professional, quick response, and accommodating to our schedule.
We highly recommend this company.

The strong winds blew the oven vent cover off my tile roof. Called a few places but the job was too small to get a quote. Ken came over later that day and looked at the damage. He also fixed a small repair while looking at quote damage.

The job was done a few days later and there are no complaints five months later. No clay tiles were broken by the workers.

I didn't have any work done with KLC so this is not for their services. Unfortunately, it's for their communication or lack of. I had reached out to KLC regarding some work that we needed done and Ken came out to look at our home, made some recommendations but also let us know they were very busy- which we understood. It was nice for him to take the time. I wasn't at the appointment when he came so he followed up with a message to me. I called back and left a message as well and never heard back- it was around the holidays so I decided to wait to try again. Months later when I know they said they may be available, I called their office again in hopes they were free to do the work. No call back, nothing...again. If they didn't want the job or weren't able to do it, a courtesy call is expected. Such a bummer!

They were very good at informing me about weather delays. Which were unfortunate but necessary. I think all is well just need a big rain to be sure. I am sure it is.

We had a roof leak right between Christmas and New Years that involved the connection between our existing roof and a metal sunroom addition. The existing roof was put on by California Roofing Co. using a ""Sim-Roof"" shingle. California Roofing is out of business and the shingle has been discontinued. We contacted six different roofing contractors: Two never responded; two came out, but said they couldn't repair the roof because the shingle was too difficult to work with and said we should replace the entire roof; one roofer contacted us by telephone and said he could fix the leak, but wouldn't guarantee his repair and couldn't get to us for several weeks; Ken showed up and agreed the shingles were a problematic, but that he was certain he could repair the leak and would guarantee his work. He placed a tarp over the roof the next day and repaired it one week later. Price was great as well! We couldn't be happier with our experience with KLC Construction; from our conversations with Elsa in the office to Ken's work in the field.
