I called Rick King on a Friday to see if he could repair a couple of aluminum roof shakes that came off from heavy winds. I'll bash the company who made the initial roof installation after this review. Rick says he's away and will come in on the following Monday morning to make the repairs. It's now one week later, and he hasn't shown up yet. I canceled the work and having someone else make the repairs. Extremely unprofessional. No callbacks. No replies. No show. I am a business owner, and I would never last with this kind of service.

Rick is nice and spent his time explaining to process. Danny and his team are very efficient, friendly. They just installed the metal roof for our new house. Looks beautiful!! Highly recommended!

This review really should read a blend of an insurance adjuster/police report. Just the facts. The facts against this company are too lengthy to rattle away, as I vent my frustration with this company in this domain. I'll keep it simple though.

The CEO/President of this so called outfit lacks a professional bearing which I can only call out as conduct unbecoming, along with the simple fact that his character tarnishes the reputation of some decent workers on his crew. If there is a defect in your new roof, good luck getting in touch with him. If water is coming through your roof, good luck ever trying to connect.

Kings Roofing repaired our roof and replaced our roofing 2 1/2 years ago, and now we have 14 leaks in 3 parts of our home. Rick King will not answer any of our calls, emails, or text messages. Their warranty means nothing since they will not honor it. DO NOT use these guys unless you only want a roof for 2 years. King's Roofing does not stand behind their work and will not even return phone calls. Our insurance company had to get involved, and we are seeking legal recourse to get compensated for the damages to our home caused by the incompetent workmanship of this company. These guys are crooks, stay away.

Amazing, I hired through the companies listing on thumbtack. In the 4years I've been using Thumbtack, never a problem. But I lost $3,800 to the Kingb Roofing representative listed on their ad. Al at King's roofing only response was a request for me to call the police on this person, which I did. The solution was for me to give them $8,000 and they would finish the job. No offers to make up for their company misrepresentation and fraud on Thumbtack. Make sure you verify they are for real. I didn't want to get ripped off again by the same company. Just be careful.

I wanted to remodel our house 2 years ago and met the owner of King's Roofing through contractor, Mokulua HPB. I was not ready to replace the roof until this spring and decided to go with King's after interviewing a few roofers and researching their credentials. King's Roofing is a family-run business where 2 sons are foreman, both are patient and good communicators. The crew of 6 removed heavy monier roof tiles off of my 2400' high pitch roof without any underlayment and laid down plywood before leaving within one day. I had extra wide standing seam installed and all crew members are careful and skilled. I discussed with the foreman my concern of a dip on a long slope area and he brought extra material to shim under the standing seam panels the next day. The project took about 5 days and the end result is a contemporary and streamlined product that withstands strong hurricane, adds resale value to my house, and creates a perfect platform for PV panels. The owner has an excellent salesman, Louie 724-3173 to discuss the project and communicate the process. Although King's Roofing does not do gutter work but referred me to an excellent company that has special gutter and downspout machines that custom made them for my house on site. Both King's Roofing and the gutter company are fare with their pricing. All crew members are friendly and have high work ethics. I appreciate the hard work so much that I made smoothies and bought them lunch, and referred 2 neighbors and friends who already signed a contract with King's Roofing!

An Amazing experience with Rick and his team (Bobbi, John, Danny, Josh and more). They were professional, experienced and creative. I have gone though many constructions but by far, this was my best experience. They were sensitive to my needs and even lifted the board/insulation panels up twice without me asking to accommodate the wiring needs, discovered a damage behind the soffit and immediately replaced a beam and corrected issues, secured preferred pricing for my doors, and too many more to list here. They never missed a day of work. I knew they were managing multiple projects but I felt as if we were the only one. The workmanship is first class. Very happy with the experience and result. Highly recommend them!

A few months back, Rick King's crew came to my house to install a solar attic fan. Scheduling for the install day was a feat in itself mainly due to the Christmas busy season. However he tried to schedule two different days on short notice despite my request that I need a week in advance notice.

Upon arriving to my house, both crew members were nice; one being the Mr. King's son and the other the son-in-law. Since I've given much thought to the installation, I gave them a lot of directions on what I want. Though the installation went well and I paid exactly for the amount quoted, I can't give them two thumbs up for the following reasons:

1). Jobsite preparation: Prior to arriving at my home, Mr King mentioned his crew will have all of the material and tools to perform the job. Well it turned out that the guys did not have a long ladder to reach the 2nd story floor of my house. Fortunately for them I had my ladders set up to go to the roof.

The crew didn't have a sharp blade to their portable jig saw and the battery was low on charge so it took some time to make the circular cut on the roof sheathing. Towards the end of the cut, switched to a portable circular saw while switching battery packs. In the end the cut was made but nevertheless it wasn't a smooth circular cut.

2). Customer service. Before the crew left, I asked for written receipt. Unfortunately the guys didn't have a paper receipt so instead they took my email address and promise me that an electronic receipt will be mailed. At that point I asked if they can provide me with warranty language with the electronic receipt. Well I received the electronic receipt from the business owner a week and half later but there was no written warranty. I've contacted the owner several times on the phone to follow up on my written warranty request but until today I received none despite his promise to follow up with the staff to send me one.
