I needed to to have my fathers roof replace. Derick Kilker was very responsive to my request for estimate. He went out with the insurance adjuster for a second set of eyes on roof damage. Since I did not live at the home, Derick sent pictures of the roof. Everything was on time as promised and property cleaned after the completion of the work.

This is a very professional company and I would recommend them for any roof work.

Kilker Roofing & Construction was one of three estimates I received for re-roofing my mothers home. After reviewing the quote and discussing it with the business owner we selected his company. I found the owner, Derik Kilker to be extremely honest, knowledgeable and polite. He clearly explained the different types of roofing and venting options (which I had already researched before the bidding process to determine which company representatives were honest and truthful).
After agreeing to terms, Derik stopped by several times during the roofing job to ensure his crew were doing the job correctly and answer any questions we had. as part of the job, we had one roof vent moved and two Air Turbines installed to improve attic air flow. we also asked Derik about the standard 4 nails per shingle and 6 nails per shingle for higher wind resistance manufacturer warranty. I had told him the other bids wanted several hundreds of dollars to add the two extra nails. Derik's answer ""it doesn't take any extra effort for my guys nail guns to put in an extra two nails - we will do that if you wish, NO CHARGE"".
The job was completed on time, cleanup was very good (only found a few old roofing staples) and we couldn't be more happy.
About 3 months after install, one of the Air Turbines wasn't turning correctly. Derik sent out someone to look at it and they installed a new one - NO CHARGE.
14 months later, we just had a severe windstorm come through. two days later I found one of the Air Turbine heads mangled against the fence. Rain was in the forcast for later in the day so I called Derik and asked if he could get someone out to replace the Air Turbine and let me know how much so I could have a check ready. He had someone out in a few hours and when they inspected our second Air Turbine, it was also damaged. Derik replace BOTH Air Turbines, again, NO COST.
After this last experience with Derik I decided to write this review as I am more convince than ever that he is extremely reputable, stands behind his work and his word.
I will soon be re-roofing my own home and will again use Kilker Roofing

After calling two other roofing companies where I was told it would be 10-14 days before someone could even come out to look at our house, I flagged down Derik when he was inspecting another roof in the neighborhood. He gave some tips about how to go about contacting the insurance company and then met the adjuster at the house when they made it out a week later. Because of this and his subsequent follow-ups, he was able to get the insurance company to pay for a handful of repairs they would not have included otherwise. He also sent his guys back out after the job completion to address a couple items noted by an overzealous home inspector when our house went under contract.

I may not have been his favorite customer since I was really pushing his timeline in order to get our house on the market but considering the scope of repairs needed, he got things done quickly.

I hope to avoid any future hail storms and their related roofing jobs but if we do ever need these types of services in the future, I'll definitely call Derik again.
