I have called, left voicemails, text, emailed as I need Kent Roofing for another project. Despite all of my attempts over the last few months, I have yet to hear from anyone.

I thought maybe they're just busy but after trying to diligently trying and being patience, I will have to find a new roofer.

Not only did they two jobs for me, I also referred my neighbor who had work done, and my parents. A bit disappointed but I have to move on.

Receptionist lacks basic comprehension and communication skills. She does not listen and does not know how to communicate with customers. Not someone I would want to represent my business.

After estimator came to inspect (and I had to keep following up with the receptionist as she was just totally incompetent in getting a correct estimate to me), problem was misdiagnosed to the tune of $1800. Another roofer came out and explained a $0 fix that just involved some minor labor on my end.

We had a good experience working with Kent Roofing to replace our 30-year old wood shaker roof with composite shingles. After requesting a quote online, Patrick was quick to come out and provide us with a quote, which was very reasonable compared to the others we obtained. Dave was the project manager on our home and he stopped by our home prior to the project starting to provide samples and options for our gutters and downspouts - this was very much appreciated. Dave's team of 5-6 guys (varied by day) were able to remove our old roof and replace it all within one week. On the last day, Dave was there to make sure everything was done well and that the job site was all cleaned up.

During the project, there was a miscommunication issue when it came to the style of downspouts that were installed, but Jonathan Kent (the owner) was quick to have things corrected and remedied. We are extremely grateful to him for his quick response and believe his actions show the commitment that Kent Roofing has to the satisfaction of their customers. That alone makes it very easy for us to recommend them, but we are also very thrilled with how our new roof looks!

The reason why I am giving them 4 stars vs 5 stars is because of the following: my husband went up to our attic above the garage about a week or so after our roof project was completed and he said it's an absolute mess up there. So much so that when he pulled down the ladder to go up, so much debris came out! He said it's going to take some time to bring down all the belongings we store up there, clean them up as well as the attic floor and bring everything back up. This was our first experience with roof replacement, so I'm not sure if this is a concern that's addressed when it comes to roof replacement. But it would be a huge value-add if roof replacement companies offered a service that took steps to not only ensure that once the project was completed, the exterior was cleaned up (which Kent did) BUT also the interior too!

Installing a new roof is one of those major decisions that can seem overwhelming - Jonathan, Dave, Luis, and Karla made it easy. A great company to work with.

I had a very difficult and complex situation, with a little bit of everything (replacing tar and gravel with membrane, clay tiles, gutter repair and stucco patching).

Jonathan and his crew (including Karla in the office) were wonderful to work with through this awkward job, and it turned out perfectly, just as I wanted.

I'm surprised by some who say Kent's prices are a little higher, because I thought my quote was fair and solidly in the middle of the range I'd gotten. Not to go on a rant, but I care about service and long term warranty, as much as initial price, because what kind of a bargain is it if you get a cheaper price up front, but the contractor won't stand behind their work later? Or even return your calls?

Any little detail that needed follow up, like a bit of touch up paint or a broken tile, Kent was there to make it right. They don't avoid you for the little things, and the little things are what makes the difference between quality workmanship and those just making a quick buck, and moving on. I want a roofer to have a long-term relationship with :-)

Best of all, Kent works extremely well with my chosen solar provider, Earth Electric, and the two companies coordinated all the work I needed done, perfectly. I highly recommend both of them, separately or together!

This review actually not about their work but about estimate. I call them to request estimate and we get appointment for estimator to arrive. After that I got call to reschedule and in fact we rescheduled appointment another 3 times!!! Finally estimator arrived to inspect balcony and promised estimate in 2-3 days. It is already 3 weeks, no estimate so far, I sent friendly reminder by E-mail, no reply to that e-mal either. I prefer that contractor honestly tell me that that they will not bid for a job (any reason, too busy, job is too small etc) but not disappear with promises. And it is not only them, last year I got several similar contractors and decided to start leaving feedback from now on.

Not every contractor deserves a five star rating, but Kent roofing surely does. And they deserve your consideration for your roofing needs.

My experience with Kent started about 2.5 years ago after our home was fumigated. We were advised to have our roof inspected for broken tiles and leaks, which led me to reach out to Kent.

Karla is a total sweetheart and very easy to talk to. Jonathan is the consummate professional when he comes to inspect your roof. Francisco does excellent work on top of your house.

Overall, I am very pleased with this company. We had a slight miscommunication along the way, but their entire team made sure that our roof was in good hands.

We ended up with a few broken tiles and a leak in the corner of our house. It required a few trips to remedy the issue, but Kent proceeded admirably and professionally. When it comes time to replace our roof, I will be giving Kent another call.

I received amazing service from Kent Roofing. I had a leak in my roof that showed up as a result of the recent rains, and they were the single vendor that actually helped repair the leak. Most vendors definitely wouldn't even bother with a small job.

I didn't get the roof replaced right away, as based on everything else, they were honest enough to say that I could probably wait until the end of the rainy season, and they were booked up for the next month anyway. Turns out they were right, and I only had that small issue.

That said, six months later, I replaced the roof, and they did a fantastic job. On-time arrivals, good attention to detail, and clean-up of all trash. I'd strongly recommend!
