We had Ken Cooper roofing come out for an estimate on replacing the roof of our home. I had mentioned during our meeting that our schedule was flexible in terms of time frame to the gentleman who met with me. We are looking to get a new roof put on sometime before mid-summer. It's currently January.

About a week later I received an email from Kyle stating that they were going to be busy for the next month ""on a big commercial job"" and that they wouldn't even be sending me an estimate. In a nut shell, they stated that they weren't interested because they had bigger fish (more $$$) to fry.

Would have been nice to know that they don't care about the small fish (i.e.: regular sized residential homes) before wasting my time with a meeting.

We talked to about 6 roofers to get a new roof. Ken Cooper Roofing was not the lowest bid, but they really were the company we wanted to go with. I meet Kyle (Ken's son) for the first visit, and had a good feeling about them. It wasn't about the cheapest, but more about who seemed to care about the work, and they got first pick.

The team is great, fast and clean; Francisco knows what he's doing, really great experience.

On the day they opened up the roof, I saw all that mess in the garage and the attic, I thought 'd have so much cleaning to do that night. I came home in the evening and it was all cleaned up, really appreciated that they cleaned up nicely behind them!
I had some extra garbage that I had to somehow take to the dump, and they were ok with using their truck to help clear that as well.

Ken and Kyle are good with letting you know everything up front. I'm glad they are both involved and both come to the house, shows that they care about what their workers do. I didn't have the signed contract printed and checks ready when they came back the second time, and they were very understanding and worked through the service without requesting the 10% deposit, showed they trusted us, and are not worried about the quality of their work.

Our gutters and downspouts were installed today, we did the seamless gutters and they look incredible. The installation crew was here on time, friendly and very efficient. I am so happy it looks fabulous. Would I recommend Ken, Kyle and the guys with out any hesitation they are fabulous and the price was very fair. I have never been so happy with a job well done. I just replaced an ugly old flat roof with a much better and far more attractive new roof.
The price had to be increased because Ken noticed pooling of water on the old roof. I made the decision to do the recommended grading to prevent this from reoccurring,
It was certainly my choice. The price was fair for the quality of work, the better appearance of my new roof. I believe that you get what you pay for is really true and I am fairly sure I will not need another roof for many years.
Ken and his son are very pleasant. His crew works hard and do an excellent job.
I recommend them highly.

Had a roof done by Ken and crew a couple of years ago. Recently got a notice from the County of Marin that the final inspection was never scheduled and that I owed them a fee. Called Ken, and he was shocked, apologized, and immediately offered to take care of the fee. Good customer service !

I called Ken Cooper Roofing after to my horror the men I hired(not related to Cooper Roofing) installed my gutter guards incorrectly. Kyle Cooper called me back and came out and set up a appt to take care of the problem and install the latest technology for gutter guards. I've known Ken Cooper and his family my whole life, but this was the first time I had the pleasure of working with him.

After receiving a very reasonable estimate, Ken told me his crew would show up between 8 & 830 last Thursday at my Terra Linda home. Well, they got here at 730, which was a nice surprise compared to some contractors I've hired over the years.

The first day, my 28-year-old roof was removed. By 4pm the next afternoon, I had a gorgeous new roof that matched the old one in color. But it also now has a horizontal ridge line at its apex to help my ceiling fan vent hot air more efficiently.

The crew was courteous, clean and polite. I'm proud of the work and couldn't praise Ken and his team any higher. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the top of my new roof!

From the initial referral to Ken Cooper Roofing we were impressed with Ken's proposal and estimating process and his roofing and venting knowledge. In his proposal process, he identified a venting problem with our existing tile roof and included a venting solution in his proposal to replace our tile roof. We hired Ken Cooper Roofing to replace our tile roof and install new seamless gutters with their gutter guard system. The roofing crew was excellent, especially the crew leader, Francisco who was very focused on quality and doing the job right. During the project, several roof drainage problems became apparent and Francisco created solutions for each of them. Also during the project we decided to replace two skylights and Francisco and his crew did an excellent job of building new curb mounts and installing the new skylights. Our roof is composed of all triangles which required alot of tile cutting and time to lay the tile. As a result, it was a challenge to install the tile and ridge caps so that everything looked straight. Francisco was very patient and he and his crew made sure the row of tile and ridge caps all lined up and look good and that the tile grout matched .

Throughout the re-roofing project, the crew was professional, polite, on time and very considerate and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Ken was always available if we needed to talk with him or ask questions about the work. We would highly recommend Ken Cooper Roofing for a job that's done right, on-time and on budget.
