Ken and his crew installed a top-notch roof on our home this summer. He worked to get the job done within a limited timeframe, accommodating our schedule despite being heavily booked. Ken also exercised diligence and restraint by not opening up our roof on the date originally planned when an unlikely thunderstorm in July struck that would have wreaked havoc on our recently purchased home. The end result was fantastic and incorporated all of the upgrades we requested at a very fair price. Ken handled all of the permitting and coordinated inspections making the process smooth and pain-free. Thank you to Ken and his team of professionals!!!

Ken and Kyle Cooper were fantastic and super responsive! They actually were monumnetal in closing a real estate transaction that we were in (my clients were the buyers). In order to close the escrow and fullfill the lenders requirements, my buyers were required to have the roof of the property completed PRIOR to close of escrow. We were on a very tight time line and Ken and Kyle came through and saved the day!! I was very impressed with them from start to finish. The Yelp definition of a one star rating, ""Eek! Methinks not"" perfectly describes my conclusion. While Ken and his son came quickly to provide an estimate for a minor leak in my roof, they claimed not to be able to localize the source of the leak, and therefore proposed to charge over $3200 to remove an extensive area of shingles to diagnose and repair this leak, and wouldn't be able to get to the repair for at least a month.

I solicited and received a second opinion from another trusted local provider, who quickly diagnosed and repaired the leak, as he had done once before on a different portion of the roof, for a total bill if $85, or 2% of Ken's (verbal) estimate.

Thus I would conclude, once again, ""Methinks not.""

After meeting and getting 6 estimates from various roofers, ranging from small companies to GAF certified contractors, I chose Ken Cooper Roofing & Gutter Systems for the following reasons:

1. Their price is in the mid range. Lower tha some other GAF contractors.

2. They give a 25 years warranty on their workmanship vs. 5 years from most others.

3. They are a GAF MasterElite roofer which gives me a lot of confidence. They also offer the GAF Golden Pledge Lifetime Warranty which I want.

4. Ken, the owner, came out himself and supervised the whole project; they are a family-run business and have a personal touch in talking and doing business, unlike some other companies that send out salespersons who only want to close the deal, no matter what. Ken is open, straight-up, easy to talk to and no hard sell.

The new roof was completed last week in a bit over 2 days. The whole experience is nothing short of easy, assuring, and professional. His crew is courteous, hard-working and quiet. They are also very good in cleaning after themselves, twice a day--before going to lunch and at the end of the day.

I've watched the crew's work and I can tell they are seasoned pros. Ken told me their foreman has been with the company for over 15 years. I've asked him questions on some of the work they are doing and he took time to explain everything to me. I do get a sense of dedication and pride they give to their work. My new roof looks great and adds a lot of curb appeal to my 65+yr old house!

I'd highly recommend Ken Cooper to anyone who needs roofing work. More than happy to be a reference to anyone who's considering the GAF line of shingles and getting a lifetime of peace of mind.

Contacted them for replacing all of the Gutters on our house, and Kyle Cooper helped me from the beginning all the way to the end. Excellent service and follow through. Very pleasant to deal with.
Like them special because they made the whole process very streamlined and easy.
Price was very reasonable and they looked out that I would not have anything done that I did not need and get the things that were needed done, in an effort to keep the cost down.
Very Honest and trustworthy, and friendly!
I will definitely be contacting them for other properties that I own and or manage for my Family.

We had Ken Cooper roofing come out for an estimate on replacing the roof of our home. I had mentioned during our meeting that our schedule was flexible in terms of time frame to the gentleman who met with me. We are looking to get a new roof put on sometime before mid-summer. It's currently January.

About a week later I received an email from Kyle stating that they were going to be busy for the next month ""on a big commercial job"" and that they wouldn't even be sending me an estimate. In a nut shell, they stated that they weren't interested because they had bigger fish (more $$$) to fry.

Would have been nice to know that they don't care about the small fish (i.e.: regular sized residential homes) before wasting my time with a meeting.

We talked to about 6 roofers to get a new roof. Ken Cooper Roofing was not the lowest bid, but they really were the company we wanted to go with. I meet Kyle (Ken's son) for the first visit, and had a good feeling about them. It wasn't about the cheapest, but more about who seemed to care about the work, and they got first pick.

The team is great, fast and clean; Francisco knows what he's doing, really great experience.

On the day they opened up the roof, I saw all that mess in the garage and the attic, I thought 'd have so much cleaning to do that night. I came home in the evening and it was all cleaned up, really appreciated that they cleaned up nicely behind them!
I had some extra garbage that I had to somehow take to the dump, and they were ok with using their truck to help clear that as well.

Ken and Kyle are good with letting you know everything up front. I'm glad they are both involved and both come to the house, shows that they care about what their workers do. I didn't have the signed contract printed and checks ready when they came back the second time, and they were very understanding and worked through the service without requesting the 10% deposit, showed they trusted us, and are not worried about the quality of their work.

Our gutters and downspouts were installed today, we did the seamless gutters and they look incredible. The installation crew was here on time, friendly and very efficient. I am so happy it looks fabulous. Would I recommend Ken, Kyle and the guys with out any hesitation they are fabulous and the price was very fair. I have never been so happy with a job well done. I just replaced an ugly old flat roof with a much better and far more attractive new roof.
The price had to be increased because Ken noticed pooling of water on the old roof. I made the decision to do the recommended grading to prevent this from reoccurring,
It was certainly my choice. The price was fair for the quality of work, the better appearance of my new roof. I believe that you get what you pay for is really true and I am fairly sure I will not need another roof for many years.
Ken and his son are very pleasant. His crew works hard and do an excellent job.
I recommend them highly.
