We are in the process of installing a residential solar system and were advised of some cracked tiles on our roof.

Had a few companies that are also listed on yelp come out to bid on tuning up our roof prior to the solar install. It was a hit or miss with some of these highly rated companies. Some suggested a complete re-roof. Keep in mind that we have never experienced any leaks in the past and I have been in the attic to search for old water spotting that could indicate a leak. Ken told us that we did not have to do a complete re-roof and so did a couple other honest companies.

Ken is always attentive and goes the extra mile to do repairs that will last, including pulling shingles and putting down new 30# felt and black mastic. 20 months after a rolled built up roofing job on my outside patio was completed, one of the 2 by 6 joists holding the roof up has 4 inches of the end totally rotted off. The Ken Alcantra Roofing said they pay there guy 500 per day and cant afford to come and rectify the problem of there roofing job
