Very responsive.
One of the requirements was use of microfine mesh rain gutter guards. The guards he provides do not appear to be able to keep pine needles out. Will keep looking.

Communicated well, fairly priced, came at time and date stated and did the job well and fast. Cleaned up too. We had a gutter go from a roof above to the roof gutter below that looks kinda weird with a vertical drain that sticks out against the outline of the roof instead of against the side w/a downspout to the lower roof...that was my only thing I didn't really like. I'd have changed that if I caught it in time. But everything drains well and in rainy Kahalu'u, that's important! No leaks either.

I needed what I considered a ""minor"" repair to my rain gutter. Another service guy had leaned his ladder against it and two of the pins holding it to the roof came off. I used Yelp to get help and while a few replied, only two responded with estimates, but one was only about half what the other company offered, and he was able to come the next day! Yes, it was David from Kelly Sheet metal! He showed up a little early, and not only repaired the broken pins with newer style brackets but also found a couple more that needed replacing. In addition, he checked out the other gutters, cleaned them out, and cleared a clogged downspout! He was done in less than an hour! Gutters will need replacing one day and when that day comes, I hope he is still in business!

Needed repair on copper gutters and David was fantastic. His knowledge of the materials and how to repair was amazing. His was the highest quote received but the service and results we got was absolutely fair for the price. If you are looking to repair gutters, do not make any decision before allowing him to look at your job.

David Kelly and his assistant Sean did a great job on installing my new gutters.

1) David was the quickest to respond to my Yelp request. Other companies just responded yesterday after David had already installed my new gutters.

2) David's quote was considerably lower than the 2 other quotes I got.

3) David was early which was a huge plus for me.

4) They removed my old gutter and did a great job cleaning up.

5) Then they installed my new gutter. And that went up quick. And again cleaned up after themselves. I have 2 small dogs and one tends to eat anything she finds on the ground.

5) They were very personable.

I definitely will recommend them to my friends and family.

This review of Kelly Sheet Metal is based on only brief interactions with the owner of the company for a planned rain gutter installation job.

My impressions are mixed:

Pluses: Mr. Kelly responded to my query very quickly. When he visited my house, he seemed very knowledgeable and even made suggestions on rain issues that were not directly related to the rain gutter installation job, but were helpful and appreciated nonetheless. He submitted a competitive quote in a timely manner. Although his quote was slightly higher than that from another contractor, I was inclined to go with Kelly Sheet Metal because of the positive first impression left by Mr. Kelly.

Minuses: Following-up on Kelly Sheet Metal's rather brief quote, I asked Mr. Kelly several questions over the phone, including information on warrantee (which was not mentioned in the quote). Mr. Kelly answered my questions with answers that were quite satisfactory and fairly standard. I asked Mr. Kelly to include the warrantee terms, in writing, in his quote or in a separate email message to me. He complained that he didn't have staff to respond to such requests in writing and that reviews of his service posted on the web should be more than sufficient to vouch for his company. I believe that asking for an email message stating, ""Kelly Sheet Metal guarantees the workmanship and material that we deliver for two years"" is not unreasonable. I guess I'll go with the competing quote.

David responded quickly to our request for an estimate to clean our very debris-filled gutters. During his visit, he got up on the roof to see what needed to be done so we received an accurate estimate.

After working around the rain that blows through Upper Kalihi Valley quite regularly, we were able to set a date and he arrived on time. David did a terrific job cleaning out our gutters and then made a few necessary repairs. The gutters had accumulated debris since 2000. So, twenty-three years of junk took about 4 hours to remove.

We are very appreciative of his efforts and will keep him in mind when we repaint our house in a year or so and in the market for new gutters. We would definitely recommend David and his company to others looking for gutter cleaning, repairs, or replacing.

I highly recommend this business. #supportsmallbusiness. Responsive, competent and affordable. Had a downspout issue and it was taken care of well below other quotes. I will look to Kelly Sheet Metal when my entire gutter system needs to be replaced.
