I was selling my house & during a home inspection discovered some dead zones in my brand new roof. Yikes! My contractor who did the roof wouldn't answer my calls or emails. I needed to find out asap how to fix the issues and get estimates. I called 15 roof companies around Austin. It was a very complicated roof configuration on an addition. Several roof companies wouldn't touch it. And some said 20k to rip it off and replace it. Lucky and his partner were amazing! They came out to the house super quickly and even Face timed me from the roof( I live in California not Texas) They met with the new buyers to explain the fix and answer all their questions. They even spoke to both of the real estate agents involved. Their bid was extremely reasonable and they even offered a warrantee for the labor and materials. Seriously the only roofer in Austin I will ever use. Jut the nicest & most honest guys around. And I've rehabbed 3 houses in Austin and met several shady contractors. These guys are the real deal.

I called Lucky Shaw on a Friday afternoon and asked how fast he could take a look at roof on a home that I was supposed to get on the market the next week. He came out on Sunday morning and confirmed that the roof had been hammered by hail but told me that the storm that would have produced that kind of damage happened more than 5 years ago. He prepped me and my clients for the possibility that the insurance company might very well decline coverage because of the lapse in time. He met with the insurance adjuster at the house 2 days later and convinced the adjuster to cover the replacement of the roof and the gutters. All in, he saved my clients nearly $28,000! Job well done!!

I had been referred to Lucky Shaw for roofing services in the past, but luckily had not needed any roofing help until...

I noticed evidence of water penetration on my upstairs ceiling. There was only one call I needed to make. Lucky was out asap and knew exactly what needed to be done. He gave me my options and I filed a claim with my insurance company. He even helped me interface with the insurance company, because we all know how saying one wrong word can void coverage, or at least that's how it feels sometimes.

I really didn't have to figure anything out on my own. Lucky took care of everything. New roof, new fascia, new paint, new gutters, every aspect of the deal was handled with communication, respect, and honesty.

I really can't say enough awesome things about Lucky and his company. They are very knowledgeable and resourceful. Thanks y'all!

We had a wonderful experience with Kahlo Construction. We called them on a Monday and Lucky Shaw, Sr. Project Manager, came the very next day to inspect our roof. He arrived on time, was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. He did a thorough inspection and was able to communicate in detail the condition of our roof. Kahlo Construction also offers very fair rates. We will be calling Lucky at Kahlo Construction for all our future roofing needs.

We had a leaky roof and we contacted 5 different companies. Kahlo construction and Lucky (yes that's his real name) responded within an hour of our call. Two other highly ranked companies simply didn't reply at all. Lucky was out the very next day. He explained our repair issue and gave us a very good price. He also explained that we did have weather damage on our roof that could very well constitute a legitimate claim with our insurance company. Neither of the other companies even mentioned the opportunity for us to explore the insurance process. Lucky was able to take us through the entire process from beginning to finish. He got our roof covered by insurance and was able to upgrade our roof at no extra charge. I will also note that his repair quote was less than and more precise than the competing companies. He literally put us in charge of the situation, and provided multiple resolutions for our roofing issue. I highly recommend Lucky and Kahlo. They were amazing.

We had a leak on a back addition fireplace that had been supposedly repaired twice before by two separate companies. The first was actually the company that put our roof on just 5 years ago. They came out for free the first time to fix the issue. Their work didn't stop the water. When we called them back they wanted to charge us. I felt that it should have been covered by their warranty. So We decided to try a second company, and they charged a fortune. The water came, and guess what.... it leaked again. We called them to come out to fix it, but company #2 also wanted to charge even more for the further repair after only a few months. They said the issue wasn't what they did, and thus wasn't covered by their 1yr warranty. We were extremely upset. Then my mother in law referred us to Kahlo roofing. We called Manuel from Kahlo to have him look at the issue and give a third opinion in order to see if it was in fact an area separate from the area previously attended to. He was able to repair the work that the second and original companies supposedly had already repaired. The price was reasonable and I'm happy to say that it hasn't leaked since. The most frustrating part is that it was in fact the exact area that had been worked on by both these other companies. Manuel and lucky documented the work and damage of the area repaired and I am now attempting to hopefully get some of my money back from the second company. These Kahlo guys are great. From the first contact with the office ladies to the final product I highly recommend this company. Their Phenomenal workmanship, professionalism, knowledge, and honesty made my home dryer, safer and everyone in it more comfortable. The comfort level is mainly because the wife and kids don't have to listen to me complain about roofing companies anymore. ;).

We called Kahlo construction on a Saturday upon the personal referral of our briber. Lucky actually came out later that very afternoon. He temporarily tarped the problem area at no charge to stop any further water damage, and then proceeded to guide us through getting a new roof with our insurance company. I would have thought it was only in need of a repair, but lucky and Kahlo const. were able get us an entire roof replacement. I'm very happy that we contacted Kahlo, and will continue to refer them anyone I know who has any roofing needs.
