I needed some contractor work for a shed. I needed bottom cover with insulation, steps and a ladder for the inside loft. I went with the recommendation on here for a contractor and I am not pleased. I was given an amount for the project with a cost for supplies. I never received nor saw the receipt for the supplies but the supplies brought to my home did not look like they equaled the amount. I was quoted that the project would be a 2 day project. We are now into week 4 with the project still not completed. There was car problems for the helper and car problem after car problem. I had plans of using this contractor for a lot of projects we have coming up but with the lack of communication and the way this project has gone, that won't happen. Upon putting the base around the shed, dogs favorite toys were closed in under the shed. Ladder is heavy and still waiting to be completed. Original hinges would not support the weight. Now that I have paid for the project I am skeptical that it will be completed. I am a fair person and I am very supportive of local and community companies. The recommendations sounded good and there were no complaints posted here. I won't post the name of the contractor as I feel everyone has a right to support their families without being given a bad review. I am very disappointed in this contractor as we were very hopeful and he showed pictures of good work. Anyway, be careful! If you ask for receipts and there are excuses as to why they aren't being produced, think twice. With the time it has take and all of the mishaps with this project, I would have expected a discount or something for the inconvenience, but nothing. I felt like he took the money and ran. As the consumer, this is concerning.
