My 21 year old roof needed replacement and I was dreading the whole process. I interviewed four companies (two from New Braunfels, one from San Antonio, and JW Roofing). All used the GAF roofing system. I decided to contract with JW because of their attention to detail (Roxanne and Roger are fabulous to work with), on-going communication (I do not think Roxanne ever sleeps), a competitive price, and a willingness to work with me on some ""upgrades"" - an extra wind turbine, 3 dimensional shingles and an upgraded ridge line - at a very, very fair price. I also used their subcontractor to replace my gutters and downspouts. The house looks FABULOUS... what a difference the right roof can make! The installation crew worked steadily in the heat and everything was fixed to my satisfaction before the final invoice was paid.

After a significant rainstorm my mom noticed some possible water leaks in her garage. Once we started calling roofing companies for estimates, we quickly realized that not all companies are created equal nor do they care about their customers like JW Roofing and Remodeling. After calling roughly 8 companies from San Antonio to New Braunfels, only 4 returned my call with 3 completing the estimate process. Of the estimates I received, there was one company that quoted us over $2,000 using the exact same materials. However, once we sat down with Roxanne, I knew this was the only company for us. While going over the estimate, she was extremely knowledgeable of the products JW Roofing uses and a veteran at taking care of her customers. She took her time explaining the entire process to us from beginning to end and went above and beyond to explain things that other companies didn't. Specifically, how to lower the home insurance premiums after receiving a new roof and decreasing potential hassels from future insurance claims.
Things about this company that matter the most to me:
With my mom being disabled, it was extremely important to me that she was comfortable with the individuals or company that would be doing this job. The day of the replacement, Roxanne came by to check on my mom several times throughout the day to see if she needed anything and ensure she was okay.
Roxanne and her team took detailed pictures every step of the way to ensure any future claims needed due to weather damage would be covered in its entirety.
The house is a single level, approx. 1100 sq ft. JW Roofing pre-positioned the materials the day prior so they could get started promptly on the scheduled day. The roof was completed within the scheduled timeframe and the entire area was cleaned when the job was done.
During the installation process, Roxanne went into the attic to verify there was no water damage and no further repairs were required. Providing my mom with peace of mind.
To simply state it, Roxanne and JW Roofing will take care of you like family. I would recommend them to anyone.

Amazing and absolutely professional. Roxanne took care of all the paperwork with the insurance company, solar panel company, and city inspector. My claim almost doubled and my roof looks gorgeous. It is hard to describe how a roof can be sexy. JW also has military discounts and is a big supporter of Veterans. I highly recommend and when you call ask for Roxanne.

I came upon JW Roofing and Remolding. I met with the owner, Roxanne Derby, and new instantly I could trust this company. Roxanne explained everything thoroughly to me. My insurance company underestimated the amount of damage the roof had sustained, and Roxanne explained to them they needed to pay for things that were code and had to be repaired. She managed to get the insurance company to pay for the additional damage. The company finished my roof in 1 1/2 days. They roofers were courtesy and thorough with attention to detail.
