Javier worked with us to coordinate the roofing with our solar company's panel removal. They ended up doing the roofing during the excessive heat of last summer (2020). He and his crew were professional and did a great job. The area around our home was cleaned up daily and the workers were polite and masked. I would highly recommend them.

In mid July, after obtaining several quotes, I contacted JVM Roofing to replace the current aging roof on my house. The current roof was close to 40 years old and showing its wear. Javier discussed the process with me and I selected a roofing color. The work started on-time with roof tear off which took a full day. Next the underlayment was put down and later the shingles were installed. Total time from start to finish was 6 days. This time included replacing several sheets of plywood and making some other minor repairs. The underlayment was a reflective material. After the roof was installed, the house was consistently about 5 degrees cooler. Now even on the hot days, the house is comfortable. The costs were as noted in the quote/contract. The final product looks good and workmanship is excellent.

I needed some repairs done, mostly the flashing around my skylight and chimney. Javier was the ONLY roofer who was willing to do the job and for a very fair price. His crew not only did a great job but they also cleaned up after themselves, which I really appreciate.

Finished in one 1 day. Rook leaks sick. Javier gave me a two week start time, stuck to it, worked till it was done and $1300 instead of his original bid of 1800....which I was ready to pay. Got my sprinkler, AC and now roof guy for life all from Yelp reviews.

DON'T commission this company (Javier) to do your roofing! We hired him to do 10 of our units back in 2015, and at the time of the bid, it was reasonable.

The first two units he worked on, he forgot the chimney crickets, and the city came back and told him he needed to do those, so he charged an extra $2500 to do them. As a contractor, how do you not know the codes and not understand your own business so as to incorporate that part of the roof? He underbid his work by not doing a complete job, but when caught, he overcharges to make up for it.

The next two units he finished were $5000 over budget. Again, because of the chimney crickets, and claiming that roofing materials increased in pricing by 50%. Wow. The roofing materials industry is making a killing if this was true. This ""increase"" all transpired within a couple of months of him completing the 1st 2 units.

Over the next five months, there were over 15 emails AND phone calls/messages attempting to contact him to get the rest of the remaining 6 units on schedule and finished within the year. He did not return any calls/emails for FIVE MONTHS!

When Javier finally got back to us, his bids to finish the rest of the six roofs were an ADDITIONAL 50% MORE than what he originally bid! Are you kidding? 50% increase in 8 months? Nothing had changed in the roofs' conditions since he started the project less than a year ago!

SIGN A CONTRACT GUARANTEEING PRICING if you decide to hire this company, actually any company. But in all honesty, I highly recommend steering away from Javier/JVM as they will find an excuse to go overbudget, regardless if you have a contract or not!

This company is not worth the stress or hassle. We have decided to switch to another company for the 6 units left undone. The new company has top notch reviews, and recommendations by others in the neighborhood. We will be sharing our estimates with other complexes and owners to make sure they don't commission JVM. My hubby's father owns some complexes AND is in the real estate business, so we will definitely pass this on this info to him!

JVM roofing have recently completely redone my concrete S-shape tile roof.
After obtaining a few quotes from other contractors, I've settled on with JVM.
Javier, the owner, has offered a fair straight-forward deal, without any penny-pinching ""small font"" included in the contract which is so common with other roofers.
The crew showed up on the day that was promised well in advance, completed the job on-time, with great attention to details.
Javier stayed in contact with me via email the whole time, daily updating on the progress of the project.
In the end he did the final walk-through making sure that I'm fully satisfied with the quality of the work done, even got on the roof himself again to re-paint the vent caps to better color-match the tile. I'd definately recommend to give him a try.
