Jose and his crew did an fabulous job applying a bitumen roof to our house in San Francisco.

We had a roof leak during the storms in January. Jose intially came out during the storm on the same day we called. He went up to the roof with me during the heavy rain and identified the area where the leak was coming from during that storm. Although we didn't ask him to do the patch work, his diagnosis was extremely helpful in allowing us to stop the leak.

A few months later, I asked him to come out again to give us an estimate for the roof replacement; during that visit, he also identified some issues with my gutters that he cleared for me, on the spot, free of charge. We got a reasonable estimate for the roof replacement, contracted with him, and then he replaced the roof a few months later at the time that worked best for us.

Because the section of the roof is viewable from a window in our house, I was able to watch his crew for most of the work, and I could see how thorough and meticulously they worked, taking extra care with areas that could become problems down the road. Our roof is complex, with skylights, areas of Spanish tile, multiple vents, and connected to the house next door; so the job was more challenging, and their expertise and experience was all the more important!

i had a small but important to me roofing job - replacing the 35 square foot roof above our bay window with a modified bitumen roof. i called 4 roofers highly rated on Yelp. one never responded, one responded that our job was too small, and two came out and looked at the job and gave me quotes: Jose of JRG Roofing and another local roofer. Jose stood out in contrast to the other local roofer with his great attention to the details of our job, by taking the time to answer my questions in a thoughtful way, and by giving me the sense that he cares about doing jobs right. his quote was reasonable and in-line with my expectations. therefore, it was an easy decision to go with Jose and he brought a team of two guys to do the job as scheduled a week later. it took them the 6 hours that Jose projected. they were highly skilled and meticulous. they cut no corners and i felt they treated my job as if it were a job for a friend or relative. the final product was excellent. Jose came by at the end of the day and inspected the work and proactively decided to add a small amount of additional metal flashing on both ends of the roof/wall junction just to be overly sure of diverting any water in that area from having any possibility of getting behind our siding. i highly recommend Jose and JRG roofing and was very happy with the work they did. also, Jose and his team are good guys and it was a pleasure to work with them. i highly recommend them.

Recent storms and high winds caused damage to my roof. Contacted several contractors with excellent reviews, but not one contractor replied. Next day, called JRG and Jose came by the house that day and performed a detailed inspection of the damaged roof and I hired him on the spot. He and his team are very detailed oriented and performed their task safely and successfully. I am so glad I hired them. They are true professionals. Thumbs up guys, and huge thanks.

Jose and his team are amazing! We discovered a leak in our roof during the intense week of rain and flooding earlier this month. We reached out to several roofers, but almost no one was available to come by. Luckily, when I reached out to Jose, he made time to come out within a few days and do a thorough assessment. Jose gave an honest explanation of what needed to be replaced, and which parts just needed touching up. He gave us a fair and detailed bid, and fit us in his schedule as quickly as possible.

Jose and his crew came out as soon as the rains cleared up and spent two days working hard to replace the old part of the roof and repair the flashing on another part. They found some damage to the siding, and were able to quickly replace the most damaged planks. They even painted the siding to match the rest of our house. The team did a great job overall, and the new roof looks very clean and sturdy, and is now properly sloped to avoid future damage.

Throughout the process, Jose was professional, responsive, and super easy to communicate with. I highly recommend Jose and JRG Roofing, and will definitely be working with them again when we are ready to replace the rest of our roof!

We had a HVAC project (kitchen range hood installation with an opening in the roof). It was not a regular asphalt roof but PVC. We took some photos and send them to Jose. Having looked at them he told us the type of the roof and manufacturer. It was spot on despite the fact that a roofing supplier told us that it was next to impossible to identify the type of the roof only by photos.
He came right on time, professionally carried out the project, and gave us many useful recommendations. Highly recommended.
