I am very happy that we chose this company to work with. We had all new windows and siding completed and they did a great job. They had great communication and were easily reachable, finished the job in one week, cleaned up our yard at the end of every day, were respectful of my house and space, and even worked their lunch break around my sons midday nap. I could not be more pleased with how this project turned out and am very lucky we found them.

Matt Runyon (GM), came out quickly after my call for help - and although he couldn't help us (we have vinyl siding), he offered suggestions for way we can reach out, get out issue fixed and save money. GREAT guy - and would recommend him for his professionalism and honest advice.

We had wood siding on our chimney that was rotting and we knew we wanted to replace it with hardie board siding. I called 4 companies with good reviews on yelp.
One company told us they did not do small jobs, one gave us a bid that was twice as high as the other two we did receive. JP construction and the 4th company gave us almost identical quotes and it came down to the professionalism and fast response from their sales manager Matt who we felt we could trust. Our instinct was right on, Mike and his crew did an excellent job. The work was top notch and they left the job site clean. It was a pleasure to do business with them. I would not hesitate to use them again and refer them to anyone.

About one year ago, my wife and I bought a 1930's-era home in central Austin that had been, in most respects, kept fairly up to date. But, like many older homes, ours came with awesome-if-inefficient old-timey windows and (comically green) asbestos siding. We contacted JP Construction because they seem to have nothing but 5-star reviews anywhere you look and that literally constitutes all of the research we did. Initially, we were going to reach out to other companies (which is almost always advisable), but we knew we weren't going to find either better service or better price points.
Jon Polson, the owner and ""JP"" of JP Construction, came to our house himself and sat down with my wife and me on two separate occasions. He gave us straight-forward advice and even entertained all of the moronic questions I had for him (""Should we consider storm windows? Should we insulate this and that? What's a casement window?""). He was patient, thorough, responsive, and really importantly for a young couple like us, did not try to pitch us platinum-coated triple-paned windows with diamond trim.
I know my wife appreciated the fact that he and his entire team spoke to both of us equally. There were no awkward, ""Let me speak to the man of the house"" scenarios, which we had experienced (amazingly, frustratingly) with other companies in the past. And when they said they would come, they really did show up. We only had one missed meeting, which JP was so apologetic about, he literally offered to come by after hours just to address our concerns.
When it came time to move forward with work on the house, JP, his overseeing manager Mike Long, and other members of the crew said that our house would take about a week to complete. We were skeptical--having been told similar things by other companies for work in and out of our house--but they were, again, true to their word. The demolition--stripping all of our old siding; removing the old windows--took a day. The siding was replaced within two. The house was painted the following week. We were dumbstruck. And we were hardly ever disturbed by the workers. Alex (with the painting crew) and Abel (with the windows) kept at it steadily from 8 to 5 every day.
Literally, work started on our house in the last week of June. It was finished in the first week of July.
We cannot recommend JP Construction highly enough. If you are searching for a company to do work on the exterior of your home, or if you just want to talk to JP about life in Marfa and fun things to do in west Texas, look no further. Their entire team, including Matt Runyon (their coordinating director), is competent, conscientious, and admirably effective at the things they do.

We hired JP Construction to weatherproof our home, and replace gutters, what we got instead was a new house! I spent about eleven months total researching contractors to go with, interviewing several and in the end JP Construction was the only company that had my confidence. They provided us with a great quote and description of the work to be done and the stages in which it would be implemented. They were always on time and worked very hard during each day of the process. What impressed my wife and I was that each day they not only completed a ton of work, but that they check three times for any mess or left over nails or debris from the old/new construction done. It was a major job because the house had a lot of dry rot and the gutters were weeks away from falling off of the house. They put in new Hardy board and John and Mike suggested choosing a color, which I let my wife do. The house was originally painted a dark, ugly brown, so we went with a bright, vanilla color and boy did it make a difference! The house looks much larger and more modern all together. During the entire process, John and Mike were very good at communicating with me and letting me know how things would go. After looking over their workmanship I cannot say enough good things about them. From the installation of the Hardy board, to the painting to the gutters, the house looks great! It feels solid and each item on the list drawn up for us was completed to our satisfaction. Even items not on the list, such as replacing some outdoor fixtures and putting in a new door bell were done so nice that it really makes the house look like a totally new home all together. Their work not only looks good, but after inspecting everything they did, it looks so solid, precise and professional. Each of their workers were so friendly and professional it was a breath of fresh air. A real pleasure to work with Jon and his team. We will be using JP Construction for all of our home remodeling needs in the future and highly recommend them to our neighbors and friends!

JP Construction just finished up a 2 week project on my house. It was very labor intensive as 2 old layers of siding had to be removed, as well as the insulation before adding new hardiplank siding. They found some rotten wood and replaced it and rebuilt an overhang above my door as it was not safe the way it was. They also painted the hardiplank (two coats on everything) . They tore off the hail damaged roof and replaced it and added all new custom gutters. Jon Polson, the owner, was very helpful and promptly answered any questions or concerns I had. His crews were also very experienced and took pride in their work.
My house looks fantastic now! Would highly recommend JP Construction!

Worked with Matt on getting work done on our house. Easy to work with. Did a good job for us!
Have got some more work to do (what homeowner doesn't?), so will be using them again.

I contracted JP Construction to replace my crappy siding with Hardy board and repaint my house. It took 4 days to complete the job, and my house looks completely different and 100% better. I'm very pleased with their craftsmanship.
A note of caution because I went into this naive: if you have plants growing against your house, know in advance they aren't going to make through a new siding job. Sad to loose some plants but the results were worth it.

JP Construction (Jon Polson) is one of the BEST contractors I have worked with, and being in the residential and commercial rental business, there's been a lot of contractors over the years. Recently, JP did a renovation for me on an office building including siding, window install and paint, and everything was done precisely, professionally and in a timely manner. It's remarkable to still find a contractor that delivers what they promise and goes the extra mile to make sure everything is finished properly. I will definitely use this company again and highly recommend them!

I had to small a project for them. But one of his employees had his own side work and came with an estimate the same day. Within 3 days the work was complete and looked professional. Their prices were fair and a lot less then I thought I would pay.
