Very much appreciate that Clint's business methods seem to keep him one step ahead of any supply chain wrinkles so he can keep his jobs running on schedule. The products he has selected to use on his projects are excellent and after reviewing the spec sheets, I saw no issues with installing them on our home.

After the contract was in place, his office was prompt to get our application to the power company. Clint was also available by phone for the additional issue of a meter replacement and a follow-up issue with the setup of the Enphase Enlighten monitoring interface.

His crew was efficient and yet friendly. Answering any questions while they stayed on task to set up new CBs, get the panels on the roof, the conduit in place, wiring pulled and monitoring system in place.

The only ""snags"" in our project were related to power company meter swap and the inspection by the city. Turns out power company scheduling system dropped our scheduled request so it showed pending but never landed on the dispatch desk. Clint came through with guidance to see if sdge's solar dept could expedite and they did. As for the city inspector, it seems what works best is to take the plans/pictures/etc (provided by Johnson Solar), put them in a zip lock bag and tape them to your main panel so everything is in one place for the inspector to review.

Putting in solar is a significant project for a homeowner and Johnson Solar has a streamlined process that provides timeliness and value without compromising the quality of the system over its lifetime.

Timeliness: it was about 8 weeks first contact to permission to operate date for our small home install.

Value: it seems they stay with specific high quality panels for all projects, perhaps this is part of how the pricing stays very competitive.

Quality: industry respected Enphase micro inverters, Qcell 480 solar panels, Ironridge rail racking system and Enphase monitoring and cloud interface.

Clinton came out to our home to assess and provide a free estimate. All the estimates were spot on including City approvals and installation timeframe. I was impressed how efficient Clinton and his team were with the permit processing and the actual installation. They stated we would be producing solar in about 6 weeks, actual was 4.5 weeks. Clinton is amazing. Him and his team did a great job got our solar up super quick. Tesla said it was going to be eight months they didn't in two weeks from signed contracts. Everyone comments on how quality the install looks and The quality of the equipment he uses. We have an older house and thought we needed a new panel but instead were able to do a sub panel which saved us a bunch of money but also helped us re-organize and make more room on our main panel. We love our solar and couldn't be happier with the experience Johnson solar provided.

I recently purchased an estate home in La Mesa and noticed that the gutters had not been maintained in a while, accumulating significant debris. Otherwise, the gutters were in good shape, so they just needed a good cleaning. I contacted a couple of firms to get the gutters cleaned. The first firm that came out wanted to sell me new gutters. Clinton quoted me a very reasonable price for cleaning the gutters and when my appointment came up, he realized he'd fully scheduled his crew, so he personally came out and cleaned the gutters himself.

Amazing work by Clinton and his team. I couldn't be happier. No BS, no scheming tactics. He was a man of his word, had everything installed and turned on under 3 weeks. Other solar companies were quoting 3-5 months before permission to turn on.

Clinton and his team did a fantastic job setting up the panels, arranging them to look clean, and educating me about differences in Solar. We are beyond happy with our 9.6 kW system and would recommend everyone go to him.

I was in the market for solar panels on my house and did extensive research before calling this company. I told the man I spoke with exactly what I wanted and he tried to steer me to a different product. I tried to explain to him that I had already done my research and knew exactly what I wanted, but he cut me off mid sentence several times. I let him know his rudeness lost him a potential customer.

Edit: I am appalled that a retired veteran is trying to twist the facts. I read his email and did not want to buy Qcell solar panels that he kept pushing like a used car salesman. I asked for a quote for Panasonic panels which are far superior to what he was pushing me to buy. Panasonic solar panels are superior to QCells for the following reasons.1. They are more efficient which is important when you have limited space on your south facing roof. 2. Try degrade less quickly that QCells, which means they will produce more power for more years. This is when he cut me off and said that Panasonic no longer builds their own panels, but is ""white labeling"" solar panels built by another company. He got mad when I told him that many companies do that. Kenmore appliances are built by Maytag, Kirkland tires were made by Michelin, Goldstar (now LG) used to make TVs for Sony. Just because QCells is the solar panel that most people buy does not make them superior to Panasonic. More people buy Chevrolet than Cadillac. Does that make a Chevy better than Cadillac? If he didn't want to install what I wanted he could have simply said ""we can't do that"". Instead of being rude and cutting off a potential customer. Now he resorts to calling me a ""quote collector"". He also states in his response that homeowners do not have the right to say which solar panel goes on their roof.
I'm a 25 year retired Army Veteran that has the money to pay in cash for my solar panel project. This guy thinks he is still in the Navy and can talk down to potential customers like they were junior Sailors.
Beware any company that resorts to name calling when someone disagrees with them! CLINTON DOES A GOOD JOB TARNISHING HIS OWN IMAGE WITHOUT MY HELP.

Edit Edit: I changed my one star review to two stars. A Salesman named Tyler reached out to me yesterday and was genuinely trying to make things right with me. Even though we only talked on the telephone he really seemed like a good down to earth guy that was really trying to make this situation better. It is for this reason and this reason alone that I changed my review.

If you're looking to get an honest, professional, best value and quickest way to get a solar system installed to your property then you should talk to Clinton.

Clint and his team got my solar system installed, Inspected by the city and approved by SDGE by less than a month after I signed the contract.

Also he will guarantee you that he will beat any quote that you get for any solar company that you have.
