I had given up on Solar System since I could not find a Company who could make an Electrical Engineer/Technician (me) feel comfortable with my technical enquiries, after talking to Clinton and walking on my roof I hired Clinton to assist me. I never waited for him, he was on time every day. When the job started he brought an assistant that was punctual, courteous and very experience and knowledgeable. First afternoon (after I got off work) all mounting hardware was installed. Next afternoon Solar Panels, conduits, converters and wiring. I had to upgrade my Service Panel and Clinton Volunteered to help me, got it done because Clinton knew what he was doing. Cost was extremely reasonable way under closest quote. It was done and making electricity before I received return calls from other companies. Honest hard working respectable are works I would to describe Clinton. If your looking to in stall a Solar System I recommend Johnson Solar.

When we finally decided to go with solar, I explored several solar contractors both large and small. Being familiar with solar and solar equipment I was able to work with Clinton to place the solar components where I needed them for future expansions such as a battery backup. I was amazed at how fast Clinton was able to put the project together from plans to permit to install in about a week. Limiting factor was I had an older roof and Clinton was able to get me in touch with a roofing contractor that was able to fit me into his schedule and I was running my meter backwards a week after install. Clinton handled the connection requirement paper work with SDG&E and I was up and running. Additionally he setup my account with SolarEdge, the inverter manufacturer, for per panel monitoring. I highly recommend Johnson Solar for Clinton's professionalism, flexibility, knowledge, fast scheduling and reasonable pricing.

If you are wanting to go solar, do yourself a favor and at least call Clinton. I've worked with Clinton on three jobs so far. The first was a 42 panel roof mount at my dad's house which was installed 9 days after we hired him. The second was a 40 panel ground mount at my sisters which took about two weeks to install from signing. We were on a deadline for those two systems and Clinton had both installed and working with plenty of time to spare while another solar company didn't think there was enough time to do even one.

The third was a 17 panel roof mount at my house. I had 7 quotes and he was able to install a larger system with better or equal quality hardware at a lower price than anyone else I've talked to. There's no gimmicks involved just straight forward honest pricing and quality materials.

When we moved into our new home, we knew we wanted to get solar and quickly figured out that it is pretty impossible to compare solar quotes in an ""apples to apples"" fashion. There are just too many variations from the amount of power produced, the technology used, etc and it is very daunting to try and understand it all. However, with it being a several thousand dollar investment - it is important to understand it! We got several quotes (about 5) and Clinton was the only one who was able to help us truly understand the quote and his pricing is very competitive and clear. He is extremely responsive and his turn around time is great. Lastly, of course our solar system is looking and working amazing! He will travel all over SD (we are in North County) so I highly recommend giving him a call.

We thought about getting solar for years. But put it off because we'd heard about so many problems our friends had with other companies. Then we met Clinton. He is very knowledgeable and offered an affordable system that fit our needs. He made everything so easy. Our solar was up and running in no time! The thing that impressed me the most about Clinton is that he was very careful to place the solar panels in an area that we would get maximum exposure but would not affect the exterior look of our home.
