My house had not been roofed since 1989. Since I knew nothing about roofing, I asked an accomplished architect and 2 other friends who had dealt with roofers in their construction related businesses. Independently all three recommended Johnson Roofing from the multiple bids I had received. Johnson came in on budget and completed the roof within the time frame he gave me. Unfortunately, there was a tremendous about of black dust generated by the redwood ceiling lying below the roof. Derek Johnson and his wife vacuumed and dusted after his workers quit for the day in order to get my house ready for a monthly meeting which occurred before they finished the roof. Derek came back after the roof was finished to vacuum again. I am very pleased with my new roof and the hard working people at Johnson Roofing.

My husband and I are building a lake house in Lake Almanor and we live in Sacramento. We didn't know anyone in the area so we just searched the best roofing companies in the area and made a ton of calls. Most people were unresponsive or already busy for the season. Greg was incredibly prompt in getting us a quote and he even completed the job in record timing. He made us feel so comfortable. We weren't there and we didn't know what the process was going to be like, but he sent us pictures, kept us updated and did an incredible job. We were just up there this weekend to see it completed. Greg Johnson is a gem. He built our original roof and over the past twenty years I have called him a couple of times when we have had an issue. Greg is honest and immediately attends to the issue. His personal and caring approach is what is so impressive. His wife, Robyn, is also wonderful and I would highly recommend them for your needs.

I had an unfortunate experience with Johnson Roofing. I ordered top of the line material and paid a premium price for a new roof. Getting started was delayed several times. I expected the flower beds to be trampled, not a problem, perennials come back. What I didn't expect was that trees would be severely damaged. Apparently some tree limbs were in the way, and instead of letting me know, or cutting them back, the limbs were broken off leaving the trees subject to bug infestation. Sad thing is, if these trees had been properly pruned giving the crew the room they needed, the trees would have recovered. Unnecessarily, the special gutter guards I had were removed. I had to make contact 4 times before the new gutter guards were installed. They installed an inferior guard, not the ""pine needle"" proof ones I had. Then it began to rain. The garage gutter was plugged and overflowing because they took so long to install the guards that leaves & pine needles had filled them. Obviously when they finally installed the guards, they didn't bother to clean out the accumulated debris which plugged the down spouts. On the last visit, they dropped a 24' stationary ladder on two Japanese maples and broke them. They weren't near the house. There are several other minor issues that I can fix, but I can not recover the 20 years of growth on those trees.

I am not a client, only a clients neighbor, and the roof looks fine but unfortunately the employees were extremely rude and disrespectful of the neighborhood. They double parked all down the road and were clearly irritated when asked to park appropriately, they parked across my driveway multiple times, and every night when cleaning up the job site they blew the debris onto my house (my 7 year old stepped on a roofing nail in our lawn because of it). Very unprofessional.

The bid was reasonable and the work was done on time. One area subsequently suffered extensive leaking which was only partly corrected after multiple revisions over two years. In the end, they could not fix the leak and did not return my calls. I have had to engage another company. Would not recommend them unless your job is very simple.

We are having our roof done. Johnson's crew seems to work only when they what to, show up whenever. I would not hire this company ever again, they told us that they would start two months ago now it is raining and some of the roof is on. I would like to get this star off because I would like to not give them any stars at all.

Greg and Robyn were stellar in their professionalism and took great care in handling our questions about our new roof. Once the roof crew had finished I knew we had chosen well. They went above and beyond to take care of many small details. Even the clean-up crew did a thorough job! Johnson Roofing even found and used a new amazing product that has a long term seal on all the vent pipes that no one else seems to have. Highly recommended. They also were the lowest quote on top of the great service. Thanks guys!
