John Hogan Roofing in Pinellas County is a scam and a ripoff! After having some work done, I tried to pay the roofer. He told me someone would call or bill me. I never received a single phone call or bill. I was habing several repairs on my home and lots going on, so over time I honesly forgpt about it. Then one day I came home to a letter from an attorney. When I called them to apologize about forgetting and to immediately pay, they not only charged me for my bill, but they also snuck in a separate charge for $300 attorney fees, saying that's the only way they got me to pay.
When I called to talk with them, the office girl told me they tried calling me to bill me several times and said she kept getting someone saying she had the wrong number (lies). She also said they knocked on my door, several times, but I never answered. YET, WHERE WAS MY OFFICIAL BILL? Never once did they mail me a bill or leave a bill on my door, if they supposedly knocked on it. I finally spoke to Mr. HOGAN himself and he is not nice either and won't give me the money back. What a scam! And what terrible customer service!!

Hogan Roof did a fantastic job on our home. They were very courteous, clean and safe. They arrived when they said they would and finished the roof in two days as they said.
If you call them ask for Robert, he is great.

My neighbor used them first, she knew the owners wife, and told me what a decent, honest company this was. They did great for her roof. Our roof itself was fine, once we finally got someone to do something about them not using matching wood on our fascia. The customer service is terrible, the office staff is nice, but to get the actual service people to get back to me still took 4 phone calls and 6 weeks. They kept telling me John Hogan himself would call to address our concerns, but he never did. The workers ate lunch in our yard and left a bunch of chicken bones on the ground, which my neighbors dog tried to eat. My neighbor and I both stepped on roofing nails within an hour after they left. After 3 months I still do not have my wind mitigation report for my insurance company. I very much regret using them. We bought the plan with the best warranty, and I seriously have my doubts that if we ever needed to use it, that they would follow through. We tried to be understanding and I really don't like posting bad reviews, but we have given them multiple chances to handle this properly in a reasonable amount of time. I am so very disappointed in this company and really regret giving them our money.

I am so very delighted with my new roof, just installed today. John Hogan Roofing is punctual, respectful, diligent, and thorough. I was so happy that the foreman explained where wood needed replacement and was helpful in that all the workers put plants and pots back where they belonged. Could find no nails or trash after they left. Tarps covered plants and decking. Couldn't be happier with my new roof! Plus they have an excellent warranty on their work.

The ROOF --- done in one day!
Today John Hogan roofing came to my house to do what was to be a two day roof replacement. So, we expected pounding and noise for two days. They arrived at 7 with a small army of men. By 9 AM they pretty much had the old roof pretty well off. By 3 PM they pretty much had the new roof on and were finishing up the edge details and the vents. By 7 PM they were done.
They cleaned up everything including the lanai and pool! Searched relentlessly for nails with their magnetic rollers. There was absolutely no debris left behind.
One day and DONE. We couldn't be happier with the way they handled the job.

Waited over two weeks for an estimate they set up two appointments never showed up very unreliable. Didn't even call. Very disappointing.

The crew from John Hogan Roofing company destroyed the siding on my roof and then Mr. Hogan had the audacity to tell me he could fix it but it would cost me a lot of money! He stated that it would be cheaper to hire someone else to do the repair because it cost him a great deal of money to insure his employees. I was not the least bit impressed with this companies professionalism and the manner in which they interacted with me and communicated the status and progress of their work. I was told on the day that all the work was completed and Mr. Hogan came to collect his check that the crew had damaged the siding on my roof and whether I wanted them to repair it.

Had a few estimates prior to hiring them. Hogan Roofing was the most reasonable. Robert their salesman was extremely informative , quick and efficient with his estimate. Put a small down payment down, 2 weeks later we were contacted and asked if it would be convenient for them to start the next day! They arrived exactly the time they said they would. Worked from 7a.m. until 7 p.m. Our roof was done in one day. Cleaned up our yard and went over it with a magnetic device to insure there weren't any nails left behind. All the employees were extremely nice and very professional. Final payment was due after inspection , which was a week or so. We have hired many for various work and half the time no one shows up etc. This was a TOP NOTCH COMPANY! Thank you again to Hogan Roofing and their crew for an outstanding job!
