I set 2 appointments and no one showed up. I called the company and it just rings, No answer, No Voicemail.
Jimmy C.David tried really hard to meet my expectations.
Albert, field supervisor, was really nice to talk to.
They are excellent team to have on your side.
I am happy to find them and let them work on my house.
Alyette A.Joey Builders were contacted for a consultation to fix the fence around my grandma's property. My grandmother and her neighbor are splitting the cost. Joey Builders came to her house and instead of going to the backyard to see the fence, they insisted on coming into the house...where they did not for THREE HOURS. They continued to stay even after they were told that my grandma and her neighbor wanted to get a second opinion because they were quoted $8000 for a 64 ft fence. They continued to try to wear my grandma and her neighbor down. My grandma was refusing to sign the contract they kept insisting on and they were not taking no for an answer. After they finally left, my grandma locked the door. She considered calling security during these three hours. DO NOT HIRE JOEY BUILDERS.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I highly recommend NOT using them. They for one extremely over charge and make it seem ok when you first start until you relegalize the quality of work. There are so many issues to list but I will list the main concern. First they had non contracted random ""craigslist"" workers in my house. They didn't pay their employees and they were coming to my door asking for money. There was no consistent work schedule hey would show up at 8 P.M. at night. They let me dog out which she ran 2 miles away from home. They left our gate open to the pool knowing we have a special needs child and safety is huge. We had cameras on our house and found out they found mold in the walls and decided to cover it up and not even tell us! We had them redo it 3 times!!!! They put a illegal p trap in both our bathrooms that we had o ask multiple times to be replaces properly. There were broken tiles put in our shower remodel. They left our house a complete disaster and had a cleaner only clean certain areas of the house. The ""workers"" broke our shower door and I had to go about getting a new one. One of the workers even brought a young child with him who kept touching wet paint on all the walls, and throwing my sons toys on the roof of our house. Do NOT hire this company if you want professional workers and quality work. Also they missed our deadline to be complete by 6 weeks!
I think they are going out of business. Main phone # goes to dial tone. This has happened occasionally before (I know another poster has mentioned the same thing), but now it's every time. Their Better Business Bureau rating has been pulled due to ""numerous complaints,"" which is unsurprising, given my experience. I had a bunch of stuff, expensive equipment, that they just left here. They finally hauled it off today, after literally two months of requests, after I filed a BBB complaint, and a CSLB complaint. I discontinued the work with them because what they were doing needed to be redone properly and they were trying to get nearly all of the money from the bid in advance. Then I would have had no leverage getting them to fix stuff like what you see below. This outfit is a mess.
I hired Joey Builders, thinking they would help my --recently passed -- (United States Vietnam veteran ) father, whose house I was entrusted to care for. I hired them because they seemed honest (Salesperson/ Project Manager Oliver Dair) and would help us, but they did and are the opposite. Presently, I am seeking legal recourse as they were fraudulent with my contract. My amended contract states explicitly that Redwood was to be used, but they substituted an inferior product (Cedar), thinking I would not discover their fraud. They insisted it was redwood and said my fence did not need to be sealed. More than once, I asked them.
If the material that was used was redwood wood, they said yes. What is more disturbing is that Joey Builder's manager, Bau, screamed at me when I confronted and spoke with him on the phone. He then said he would stain the wood ""red"" as if that would absolve him from the fraud and help the issue. He said hard cedar was just as good as redwood, which is invalid. I told Bau that it was still not good as it would not make the wood redwood; it just stained the wood red. Asinine and fraudulent thinking! This will be a lengthy legal process, and stay tuned as I seek legal recourse to remedy their blatant fraud. BEWARE!

DAILY TELEMARKETING CALLS to a cell phone on the do not call list. I am not looking to do any work, and would never hire somebody who violated the law to telemarket to me. No quality contractor needs to do this. tried speaking to them in the corporate office to have them stop but hung up after 18 minutes on hold.
I had a consultation with one of their reps to build a 2 bd 2 bath adu. He was very nice, he asked for our blueprints of what we wanted done. I forwarded all of it to him and he said he would get back to us with a quote in a couple days. That was 3 months ago. I've texted and emailed but he never responded. Such a waste of time. Why come over to give a quote, spend an hour there, then not give a quote? If you don't want the job just say so.
The ""project manager"" was a smooth operator ""finisher"", knew we were desperate as the job was not a huge kitchen remodel, just a simple range hood installation. He 1st quoted an amount which he included a paint job for the entire kitchen (very small, 10x10) and a reposition of a modular cabinet (easy fix). The cost was waaaay over what would be performed in the $6K + range! He saw our hesitation and dropped the price down only a few hundred bucks. He, his asst, and another manager would show up at all hours (very early in am or late in pm without prior notification just to ""see"" how project was going, oh and by the way, can you pay us for another installment! Any appointments they did make, they were either late or not made at all. Fortunately, the REAL people who did the actual work on the project were very hard workers and surely deserved much more than the pitence they would get for the job, unlike the managers and company who got the bulk of the costs and they were the worst we've ever dealt with. However, we'd hire the actual workers in a minute, but no way would ever hire or recommend the company.
Not a good experience AT ALL. Job was started and they walked away leaving everything in a disarray but were paid more than half the contract price. Joey Builders: Yimakh Shemo
