Recently purchased a home in Goleta area that needed a new roof. Had two other quotes for new roof as well as cutting back the overhang. Both quotes were higher than Joels. New roof was on in five days. Work was done quickly, efficiently, and with good workmanship. Will be calling back to get gutters done once painting is complete.

Joel's roofing company has been working for almost a month now to put up a new roof and rain gutters, apparently because it took 2 weeks for ""parts to come."" Beyond this, his (Joel, not his workers) demeanor is unprofessional at best and borders on cruel at worst, including speaking very inappropriately about neighbors very loudly while they are home and can hear him! I would not recommend their services due to what appears to be inefficiency, unprofessionalism, and excessive noise. With all these other bad reviews, save yourself the mistake of going with this company.

Repeat (3x) customer. Asked if they could do a small job for me and was told they have a $1,000 minimum. Way to treat your repeat customers. Never again!!!

I am not sure what all the negative reviews are all about, except that they all seem old and maybe Joel's has tightened up their act. I had them do rain gutters at the front of our house about four years ago and he did not charge me for the estimate. The price was reasonable so I went with it. The gutters and spouts turned out beautiful and are still functioning as designed. About two years ago I realized my lack of gutters in back were causing water to seep under our hardwood floors so I had him install them there and again, reasonable price, no problems. I would suggest you call them for an estimate and If they treat you poorly, I stand corrected, but it certainly was not my experience.

Unprofessional, confrontational and work that is priced way too high.
This company is just out for a fast buck and the workmanship is not good. Really hard to get back and finish the job.

I had a great experience, I called and Joel personally came out and gave me a bid for my gutters, he was professional and had the best price. He had great ideas and I had them installed and a rain chain in 2 days!
He was helpful, courteous and a pleasure to work with.
I highly recommend this company!

I did not personally hire this company - nor ever would I - but I experienced one of their work vehicles nearly hit me in a parking lot (I moved to avoid contact with the vehicle). He was way too quickly for a parking lot, rushed around a corner, and did not seem to be at all mindful of foot traffic. When I got out of the way of his vehicle, he kept right on going and did not even stop to address the situation or apologize. I called Joel himself to communicate the issue to him, and didn't receive a call back. I'm 30 weeks pregnant. Had his employee hit me in a company car, this would have been a HUGE issue. Wouldn't suggest using this company. They appear to be very irresponsible and negligent.

HORRIBLE!!! Joel is an extremely difficult person. Very confrontational. I have had him work at our house and I know other people who have had the same experience. BAD!

Honestly, zero stars.

My husband and I recently bought our first home and have been working with tons of wonderful and professional contractors in the area. This company is not one of them! I called just to have someone come do an estimate on our rain gutters and I literally didn't even make it through a phone call with this guy before I was appalled by his unprofessionalism. First of all, their website says free estimates but when he told me it would be 125 I agreed without hesitation - he interrupted me while I was trying to explain to him the specific issues we are having so he didn't have to waste any of his time when he got here. He actually laughed at my problems. Still, I agreed to have him come up. When he asked my address (which is literally three miles from downtown SB) he MORE than DOUBLED our estimate to 325 dollars. I can't speak to his work or anything but I couldn't imagine that working with a person like this would be a good experience. I will happily pay money for anyone else to come do the work!

My suggestion is, just skip right over this company and call the next place, save yourself a few minutes!

I called today when it was raining because I saw that one of our gutter ends was leaking in several places. Dan answered and quoted me $235 just to come out and take a look! I was stunned. It is a small job. I told him up front. So not worth $235. I understand a $50 charge to come and look and repair but not $235. Sorry. You've lost my business and my friends will know not to call you either.
