JCIS was the roofing subcontractor for Baker Electric when we did our solar installation. I think that the roofing job is decent, but the crew was very careless about the yard. They were constantly tossing debris from the roof, destroyed some potted plants on the patio, and damaged our aluminum patio cover. We reported the patio cover damage immediately, and a rep from JCIS came to look at it--and promised that it would be taken care of soon by either JCIS or Baker. He asked me to send him some photos--which I did. Since the? Nothing. It has been many weeks, we have heard nothing, and emails to the Baker project manager have gone unanswered.

We bought a Kaufman & Broad house (mass production and they only build to make it through the warranty period - then the next day fail). Our roof had several leaks this last winter and we also wanted to add solar. JCIS and Juan were contracted by the solar company and we could have not found a better roofing company if we tried to do it ourselves. We did a full roof replacement and it was scheduled to take 4 days. Juan and his team completed the full replacement and did repairs in three major areas of leaks in just 2 DAYS! The project was pretty crazy with a dumpster, tools, hoses everywhere, etc. and they left our property clean ( like nothing was done. The also added new venting for the attic to cool and painted all the new stuff to match the roof. JCIS was great and super happy with them.

San Diego is getting hit with a huge amount of rain this winter. Five other roofing companies I called were entirely booked up, but I needed a flat/torch down roof repaired ASAP. They squeezed me in their schedule at a reasonable price. It has rained since then and no issues, no leaks. They made sure I was satisfied, and there is a 10 year workmanship guarantee. I will update this review if there are any changes.

Owner Juan Cisneros came out right away to give us bid when most companies were ""too busy"" for ""just"" a repair.
In fact, Juan offered to begin work on a Sunday just to make sure we didnt sustain any rain damage.
JCIS Roofing arrived on time and got right to work.
But here's what really sets this company apart.
Juan was the ONLY licensed contractor who gave me a honest assessment up front without playing the insurance game, or telling me how in demand roofers are right now, (and they are).
And he finished the job in ONE DAY, when other companies claimed it would take weeks.

We hired JCIS for a lift and re-lay job on our house. I interviewed 6 different roofers. Juan (JC) was the most straightforward, competent, and fairly priced. It was not the cheapest quote and it wasn't the highest. But it was really his professional manner and the fact that this is a roofing company that he personally helped start after decades in the business. The crew showed up on time, cleaned up after each working day, and finished on time. Juan would send me pictures of the roof if he had questions which was great as I was on a business trip at the time. In addition they came back after they were done to paint a few nail heads on street facing tiles the tile color. Honestly this was a great experience.

Juan and his crew did a good job replacing our roof. He was able to provide updates along the way and was finished on time. Courteous and reliable and cleaned up after the job was done. Would consider for future needs but I think the roof may last plenty long.
