Who knew selecting a new roof could be such a project? With so many shapes, sizes, colours, styles, & textures to choose from it can make your head spin! Add on the fact that some roofs seem to change their appearance depending on your home's paint colour & time of day! Needless to say it's taken me awhile to select a new roof. But...when I finally made my decision, you'll never guess what happened...the materials I wanted were out of stock almost everywhere due to a roofing materials shortage! Go figure.

After an extensive search & checking with several roofing supply companies, a number of contractors recommended JB Wholesale Roofing & Building Supplies. They offer a large selection of designer & luxury shingles, clay tile, & regular shingles. Although JB has several locations, I found that the Santa Fe Springs location was the most helpful. Not only did they give me a few complimentary samples to take home, but they were patient with all my questions, & shared their expertise regarding which colours & styles may look good on my home considering the proposed new paint colour & pitch of the roof.

When my materials finally came in, JB arrived at the site on time & had a large crew of guys who were very professional. Due to the large quantity & heavier weight of the materials for my particular roof, they even loaded the roofing materials onto the roof with a large crane! Very cool! They not only worked together seamlessly & professionally like a well-oiled machine, but they respected my neighbours, took steps to protect my property, & caused no damage (to my knowledge). Even after the job was done, JB still answered any questions, concerns, & requests I had.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I was buying the material myself and my contractor just gave me a list of materials needed. For much of the list, I had no idea what it was but with Robert's expertise, we were able to get it all ordered accurately and delivered ASAP. Delivery was quick and efficient.

Fast response time and great prices! My boyfriend and I are replacing our roof and we needed the materials ASAP so we can plan the inspection & install for the same week. We were actually recommended to another popular roofing supplier but they were definitely not the friendliest and their earliest delivery would be in two weeks. We looked on Yelp and found JB Wholesale and so glad we found them. My boyfriend called, was able to make an order in person and get same day delivery (luckily they had our materials in stock). The employees were friendly, professional and overall great to work with, would highly recommend to everyone for roofing materials.

I hit the JACKPOT in roofing supplies information!
Yes, its that time for a new roof so I came here to learn what my options are in roofing supplies. If you're lucky as I was and you talk to Ron Madsen, he will answer all of your question... and then some.

Ron spent nearly 2 hours with me. Unheard of, most places you can barely get someone to even look your way. Ron was eager and seemed excited to share his vast knowledge on roofing. I can't believe I spent all that time here, but it was very informative and interesting. Ron even took me into their warehouse to show me and to talk about their supplies.

Since I came prepared with my roof and attic measurements, Ron set up 2 itemized material lists for two different shingle options. I'm glad I had my attic measurement because Ron spent a lot of time explaining the important concept of the correct balanced draft for my attic.

Thanks to Ron Madsen, I am so ready to talk to the roof installers. I now know what I want and how it should be properly installed!
