This is a follow up to older review Joe C.

10-27-17 Shelton Roofing completed installation of a new roof and two new skylights.
12-5-17 technician returned for corrections due to failed city inspection
1-18-18 new roof passed final city inspection.
2-4-18 after a heavy rain, the roof leaked around one of the skylights
2-14-18 technician caulked skylight and removed tar from top of skylight

Incidentally Shelton Roofing motto is ""Simply the Best"". LOL.

This roofing company has stood us up twice. The first time we set up an appointment window, no one ever came or called. We decided to gove them one more chance amd set up another appointment window. Same thing happened- no call, no show. I am appalled by the unprofessionalism and lack of courtesy. Good luck staying in business if this is the way you treat customers.

James Shelton Roofing has all the appearances of being a caring, reputable roofing company, but what he did to my 89 year old aunt was very unethical. His roofers did a superb job of keeping the area clean and re-roofing her home, but they put holes in her awnings. James Shelton said he was a man of his word and would file a claim to fix the awnings ($2300.00). When his supervisor came to collect final payment James Shelton had not called in the claim, so I called his Insurance carrier. They called Mr. Shelton who informed them that he would file a claim, he just hadn't had time. The Insurance carrier called me back to let me know that they had talked to him , so I released the check. For a few weeks the Insurance carrier tried to call Mr. Shelton to finish the claim and he avoided them. The Insurance carrier then informed me that he finally called in and cancelled the claim. James Shelton Roofing might put on a good roof but the man had no problem lying to my elderly aunt to get his payment. He knew all along he would not live up to his word. So beware.

Unless there is more than 1 Shelton roofing in Jacksonville the information in my review is very truthful and correct. A person representing himself as Mr. Shelton did come to my home and spoke with me on the phone. He stated he was the owner of the company. There are holes in my roof and the work was not done properly. I would be more than happy to discuss this with the respondent from Shelton Roofing.
