I have owned my foam roof house on the water in Clearlake for 20 years now. For 16 of those years, I battled a roof that needed to be serviced professionally. I called out Jake's roofing, and they went over my roof with a fine tooth comb, and assured me, we were days away from never having a roof problem again. My roof was sprayed within weeks of signing a contract, and it truly is a beautiful roof. That was two years ago... We have had some of the worst rainfall in northern California, and I have not had one issue , but best of all, Jakes roofing comes out once a year just to do a walkover of my roof to ensure my warranty work is up-to-date to prevent any future problems. Could not give Darren and his crew higher marks... Thank you. jim stegmaier

I had Jake's come spray my 1966 mobile home roof summer 2023. The guys were pleasant about answering questions and did a good job cleaning up after themselves. They explained that hosing off the roof in summer was a good maintenance idea, and that we could call and book them to do the job if we wanted them.

Now it's February 2024 and the second atmospheric river is roaring overhead and dumping rain all over the SF Bay Area. No roof leaks! I am happy.

I would give 0 stars if I could. We paid this company over $10,000 to literally do nothing to our commercial roof. The same year after they came out to do a maintenance and resealing we had several areas leaking above our tenants just after the first rains and ended up having to call another roofing company to repairs the leaks and pay out more money but this time it was done right! Also trying to phone Jake or his crew was a nightmare in order to get them back out to fix the problem and when they did they claimed there was nothing wrong with the roof and left and have not been able to get a hold of anyone at the company since! Beware to anyone do not use this company they are a fraud!!

Standing on a mobilehome roof and using a Bic and a rattle can to try and kill a couple of wasps is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen. Are your employees 14? We're in the middle of wildfire season. Put your flame away and be a man. Wasp bites don't hurt that much. You'd better hope you don't light people's homes on fire with this irresponsible and childish behavior.

Darin and the crew are the epitome of ""old school""professionals. Not a ""sales job with questionable warranties"" team but a generational family owned business (30+ years) that shows in the their teamwork that gets the job done. My 20 year old foam roof needed renovation and coating, I have already had experienced the good, bad and ugly in roofing contractors over the years when I had my elastomeric coating done every 5 years. In fact, some of the renovation I needed was to redo a terrible job I had received several years ago. So I started looking for foam roof specialists...I had gone through 5 ""sales""job estimates with warranty promises and when I sent them specific warranty questions 3 didn't call back, one seemed insulted I would question them and the last one was condescending about warranty and would only give me 5 years on repair and elastomeric coating at an outrageous estimate. I started at square one again. When I first contacted Jake's Roofing and Coating, I had to be persistent as Darin is so busy that call back communicating was challenging but it was late in roofing season and I knew the best roofers would be backed up. But once connected (texting worked best) Darin was honest, straightforward about warranties and he heard what I wanted. His estimate was actually the best pricing even though highest because of work needed that other's had brushed over. I got a 50 year manufacturer warranty on my new state of the art silicone coating, essentially a brand new polyurethane roof following his recommendations for actual repair needed and finally a 10 year workmanship warranty that includes a 24 hr turnaround if a leak were to develop. The new roof was installed in one day the following week. I was impressed and relieved from roof worry. Don't be put off by needing to chase Darin down, he is the real deal and you won't regret working with these specialty roof professionals.

I'd give him less stars if I could. Absolutely unprofessional during the 5-6 weeks we attempted to hire him to complete a repair for us. Basically had to hold his hand through the entire process. My 15 year old son is more responsible with his time than this guy.

Terrible service! They give you a price without even looking at your roof, and even without asking you what is wrong with it. I do realize that they can look at it from the google maps etc, but they way they do the business is just wrong!

We just wanted to give Darin and his crew at Jake's Roofing a big shout out for their professionalism and their exclusive roofing product. Tonight we just had the hardest rain we have had in this area for a few years which would have had us running for the buckets to catch the leaks we have had in our mobile home. The polyurethane foam product they use to cover the existing roof kept the rain out and us dry. Absolutely no leaking! . A quicker and easier way than the traditional costly replacement of our roof to stop the leaks. Thank you again Darin.

We got a traditional composite roof done a few years back, as well as an insulated foam roof on the flat part of our roof from Jakes Roofing, which has been great, and much more durable on the flat part of the roof with the insulated foam they do compared to our old flat roof. The insulated roof is one of a kind, they are the only ones that I know of that do that kind of roof on flat roofs. Great on energy! Their price was excellent, and they were very willing to work within our budget, which we are grateful for. That is very hard to come by these days. The crew was professional and courteous and are all hard workers. We had to have the crew come back out to repair some damage on the flat part of the roof (from termite damage), so the crew came back out to repair that, even match up the paint, redo the boards under the roofing, and re-do a portion of the foam roof that had to be cut out due to the extensive termite damage. Their price was excellent and they did a fine job and cleaned up our property nicely. However, one thing Darren (the owner) needs to improve to make this a five-star rating, which I told him, is their callback to customers is lacking. I believe this is due to lack of their manpower for the extensive business they do all over California (which is a large state), as well as Nevada. Fortunately, we weren't on a time crunch to get our repair done (we just wanted it done before the rainy season begins), and they weren't down in SO Cal for quite some time, so we waited until they were back down here to keep the cost of our job done. FYI, If you are in a hurry to get a new roof or need emergency service, make sure you communicate that to Darren, otherwise you may have to wait awhile due to their lack of manpower for the size jobs they do (being mainly commercial). Just a side note to Darren, it would be wise of Jakes Roofing to hire a couple more crews due to their business expanding, as well as return calls from customers promptly. That is the only reason why I didn't give these guys five stars....there's always room for improvement. Their price, quality of work, efficiency of work, professionalism, helpful crew all of these gets them five stars...however, call back to customers in a timely fashion and efficiency of getting a crew to us gets them one star. Best wishes to these guys in hiring more crews to grow their business!
