I highly recommend J&J Roofing.

I contacted J&J Roofing regarding two flat roofs on a residential home (back and front house). I spoke with Matt, who answered all the many questions I had regarding the flat roof. Matt also provided me with information about the different roofing materials that would work best for a flat roof. The estimator came by the property, inspected the roof and answered additional questions. Matt emailed me the quote and it was reasonable for the work. Once the roofing material arrived, we set a date and time to commence the job.

Joe and his crew did an awesome job. They arrived as scheduled every day, worked well together, were detailed, efficient and professional. They also kept their working materials neatly stored (with plastic underneath) on the property preventing damage to the area. Joe kept me informed about the roof progress throughout the whole job. Joe and his crew were great to work with.

Approximately one month after the job was completed, a quality control manager came by the property to inspect the work. There were a few minor items he wanted to improve on (e.g., an overflow, etc.). I spoke with Justin, who scheduled a day and time quickly and was very helpful. Joe came by and fixed these minor items. Great work!

J & J Roofing just finished reroofing our home and did a fantastic job..
I got 4 bids and this quote was in the middle. however Matt knew exactly what needed to be done and how it needed to be done. He was familiar with San Marino city codes. He was very clear and prompt.in his communications.

The work began as scheduled and finished on time. The crew was very efficient, quiet, (as quiet as you can be while banging on the roof) and neat.
Everything was clean at the end of the day and all our landscaping was intact at the end of the job.

I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable roofer.

What a lucky Yelp find! J &J Roofing was a pleasure to deal with from our first contact. Jush came on time to estimate our roofing project - even calling ahead to confirm his arrival. We had our COMPLETE estimate including terms and conditions, guarantee, etc. within 24 hours. We had questions to clarify things which he immediately responded to...while on vacation. We scheduled our start date - no deposit required and work began as planned. Crews arrived early in the morning as shared and they worked all day taking breaks as if scheduled and then cleaning up before leaving each day. Justin in the office always called with updates and next steps. The communication was and Justin was very courteous and responsive to any questions we had. We highly recommend this company and will be sharing their name with all our friends in need of roof repair or complete new roofs. BTW - We have an S-tile roof and these guys were great. Our bill was exactly the amount estimated. We couldn't be any more satisfied.

J and J Roofing are the best an most professional Roofers I have seen in years. I had a building in my backyard an they replaced everything. They cleaned up everything and i couldn't even find any flaws.I highly recommend using J an J Roofing on your next project.

Do not use this company. I reached out to them last summer to have a couple of small repairs done to our roof (which was newly built in 2016). The inspector was good and the email interactions with Matt were good-he was friendly, helpful and seemed knowledgeable. That's pretty much where the good ended. Once the contract was signed, the day of, two men showed up. They never rang the doorbell to even let me know they were here. They just went through our gates to the backyard and started doing the work. Except they were doing it wrong. The diverter we discussed was installed in the wrong place! There was a language barrier so I tried to call the office and no one was available to help. The flat roof they also suggested we re-do was done extremely sloppily-it looked awful! After trying for days to get in touch with someone I was connected to Justin. He came out and patched up the shingle area that was now unsightly due to the diverter being placed incorrectly there. I paid them the $2400 for sloppy work.

Now the really bad part. I noticed after some very short and light rain (not the heavy rain we received in December), the shingles surrounding the other diverter they installed were all wet. Seemed strange and it was worrisome! Sure enough there was either 1) no need for the diverter 2) it was placed incorrectly. The water is pooling beneath and around the shingles and causing who knows what kind of damage below it and to what extent! I have sent a handful of emails explaining the situation and included the attached photos to the office, Justin and Matt (the owner) and have also left a few voicemails. Not ONE has been returned. They do not care. They recommended work that didn't need to be done, furthermore they CAUSED damage that I now have to pay another roofer to correct, they have taken zero responsibility, they haven't bothered to return one email or phone call.

I am absolutely disappointed and appalled at the LOUSY customer service and work of this company. They should be held accountable. I highly recommend not using them because they do not honor their work and they don't care one bit about their customers. AWFUL!!

Got a few bids and decided on J&J. Mike answered my questions in detail and make sensible recommendations for fixing our roof. Justin laid out the schedule and coordinated each step for us - removal of old roof, inspection, new roofing, etc. All the workers that showed up were courteous and professional. It went as should... uneventful = good. Would definitely considering working with them again.

Just to let everyone know, I called again and spoke directly with Mike! He was most attentive to my issue and needs and so I have now set an appointment for J&J to come out to my house! My little phone mishap aside, J&J comes highly recommended and so, especially after speaking with Mike (for like 15 minutes!), I feel like I am in good hands!
