I worked with James and Jon Duncanson. Both were extremely professional explained the process to me and helped address any concerns that I had. Both were able to be reached very easily, and their crews were trustworthy and professional.

In 2021 we had a hail storm that absolutely tore up my regular shingle roof and our house began to leak so we had j duncanson come out and they ended up meeting my insurance (USAA) out at our house for an adjuster appointment and they helped us get all 7 roofs on our property paid for and we decided we wanted a more permanent solution for our main houses on the land and went with a TEK stone coated steel roof and it came out absolutely amazing and gorgeous we also got a foam backer upgrade with the roof as well and our electricity bill has dropped 35%!! I HIGHLY recommend jduncanson for any and all roofing needs ESPECIALLY metal roofing

I have asked representatives from this company at lease a dozen times to never come back to my home and they continue to knock on my door! I have told them twice within the last week. I would never do business with this company and I wish they would leave me alone.

Knocked on my door at 10:15 am today (Saturday) and tried telling me that he was here for an annual warranty inspection on my roof. Explained that I have a warranty for the metal roof I bought and cited a brand name. I asked if he was associated with the installation. He said he wasn't sure and that JDuncanson sent him there. I asked if JDuncanson was contracted by the installer or the roof manufacturer. He again tried to act like he wasn't aware and that he was sent by JDuncanson. I asked if this was a solicitation, and he said no. Clearly that's a lie, because I know we have never done business with this company, ever. Truly unprofessional to show up unannounced and try to bullshit me at my own front door. At the very least be honest. Also gave me a card with Derek Whitaker's contact information, but when I called it wasn't him. Turns out it was Derek's supervisor that knocked. These guys are just driving around knocking on doors trying to get you to let them file claims with your insurance company.

I called your office and fixed this issue of your people unannounced 2 years ago, as of that original complaint. Your words are too little too late. Your tactics are predatory and you know it. Keep your goon squad away from homes that have not booked an appointment or called you. Your roofing company is like a bunch of used car sales people. Customers with a concern know who to call and will when needed. You send your sales people out like hungry pack wolves putting pressure and concern where there is none. Stay away!

The J Duncanson roofing company came by in 2015 and convinced me and my insurance company to upgrade our previous metal roof which was 22 years old. Everything went smoothly and the roof was installed and looked good.
Then last year (2018) the roof began to leak at the brick chimney join. Our home has 6 inch foam insulation so it took a while for the leak to show up through the foam. We called Duncanson and our home insurance to get the problem solved. Insurance company says the roof leak is not covered and Duncanson should fix it. We were visited by two sales teams and one maintenance man who said he would come back and caulk the joint. Never saw him again. I tried to patch the problem during a rain storm but it still leaks. Now it still leaks in each heavy rain. The Duncanson roof was only good for three years (not like my previous roof) so it's not worth the money. I'm sure the roof materials are good but the installation was not.

We contracted with Duncanson to replace our roof after a hail storm in 2014. They told us they used all their own crews and guaranteed their work. Afterwards, we found out that they subbed our job out to some amateurs. (Duncanson admitted this to us) The roofing job was so poorly done you could see the problems from the street. Duncanson came out a couple times over the first two years to repair leaks, but nothing more, even though they could clearly see how poorly the whole job was done. We are getting ready to tear it off and start over with another company due to continued leaks and shoddy work. Two monkeys with hammers could have done better.

They were also supposed to do the siding on this house, but they subbed that out to ONE GUY for a 2-story house. He had a ""helper"" who quit shortly after the job was started. Needless to say, that job was poorly done and continues to be problematic for us.

Duncanson may be OK in some cases, perhaps when they do use their own crew, but they were storm-chasing when they did mine and it shows. And the ""guarantee"" turned out to be nearly useless. Kind words and empty gestures don't keep the water out of the house.
