This company put a new roof on my home in 2017. I am writing this review now for two reasons. The roof over my front door never leaked in the 3 years I had owned the home prior until John had to remove the rain gutter where two sections of the roof overhang came together. I texted this man several times over the past 5 years each time it rained never to get a response. I wanted to email to have it writing, but his website has not email contact. So in anticipation of the pending rainstorm for the next 5 days, I called today to express my concerns regarding the leak over my front door since there was a 10 year warranty. John was rude, arrogant, argumentive like two other people posted in their reviews. John was not professional to a past client and actually hung up the phone on me. When I tried to call back he refused to answer my call where his message says you will get a response in 4-6 minutes or respond to the texts with pictures that he asked me to send.

There are were lots of roofing companies, but because of referral from a friend we chose JD roofing. It was like a bait and switch with him quoting one price knowing full well part of patio needed to be replaced and then he increased the price by an additional $3,000. Why didn't he put that in the original quote so I could have compared apples to apples with the other quotes. This guy was WAY overrpriced. Then he overorderd several packages of the shingles and his workers took them instead of refunding me the money. I saw them putting several packages on their truck when the job was over.

I very much regret going with this company. Now everytime it rains, I have roof that leaks over my front door with no accountability from the owner. A home inspector also told me there is leak and rot on my pation from there the water is seeping through the roof. I tried to explain this also, but John was short and quick to ignore my concerns and hang up on me. There was already one leak after his poor work in 2017 and he had to come out and fix it once already.

Save yourself a headache and thousands of dollars and choose a different roofing company.

JD Roofing did a complete new roof in less than a week and they did a fantastic job. While we got several quotes, we went with JD because he had actually done a smaller repair job a few years back and it was also done very well. The roofers showed up on Tuesday and the job was completed by Friday. Not only does it look great, but the flashing, drip edges and everything else is done professionally, no gaps or sloppy installation anywhere. They added new vents and everything is up to code. In addition, the crew was cleaning up extremely carefully after each day and everyone was very courteous. Couldn't be happier. Recommended without reservations.

My husband and I bought a home recently that was in desperate need of a new roof. I contacted JD Roofing since they contract with the solar company I work for. Holy cow. Not only did they get us a great price but within a matter of 5 days from when we reached out and we had a whole new roof! We even had a massive winter storm blow in during that time and they still kept with their timelines! No hidden fees or last minute ""oh this will cost more now"" bs. The new roof looks AMAZING. We HIGHLY recommend them!

Needed a new roof so I reached out to 6 different roofing companies. John gave me the best price and was the most knowledgeable and professional out of all the others. On top of that, he finished the job ahead of schedule (less than 3 days for a tear off and new roof!). His team cleaned up thoroughly and the roof looks amazing! Thank you, John and team!

I called for a partial or full roof replacement recommendation and quote for my mother's house in West Covina. Holy Cow! Talking to this guy was like a trip to the dentist to get my teeth drilled. He was angry and cussing and just seemed annoyed that I called to ask for a bid on the job. I guess business is so good that he doesn't need more work. He certainly won't be getting mine.

Found JD Roofing because some neighbors had recommended them through the NextDoor App. I've contacted at least 10 roofers since Spring. Most of them either flaked out when I tried to schedule an actual roof repair. JD Roofing did not.

John actually came out the next day and had a pretty fair estimate a couple days later.

He's straight to the point and no BS. There's no greasy upsell or intimidation sales tactics.

I've interviewed many contractors for various jobs and once I hear, ""(accented English) My friend, my friend, let me tell you this...if you do NOT fix this, you will have beeeg problem. My friend, do the right thing."" (that guy will never get this bid).

It was small replace/repair job (in a valley of our roof) he easily pinpointed after going into our attic and onto the roof. They were done by mid morning. He is licensed, warranties his work, and they cleaned up well after they were done.

If a contractor only gives you a verbal estimate, don't do it! John's written estimate was even more reasonable than many of the 'verbal' estimates I received. It outlined exactly the work he was going to do.

J D Roofing did a fantastic job tearing off my old roof and putting on a new one. To start with, I received 3 estimates and picked John because he was the most professional, honest, straight forward, and had the best price of the three. From the moment he came over to show me the samples to the day the roof was finished was less than a week. The roof itself took only 3 days to put on. John and his crew were prompt every day (even came at 6:45 am when said would start at 7:00). John is a hard worker and the finished product is beautiful!

Just put a new roof on our home. Did an excellent job, however the most important thing to us was his ethics, honesty and workmanship. Highly recommend for initial full work to repairs .
