I don't know what's going on, I had panles installed and can't get a call through. You might want to rethink who you get to install your system.

By far the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. I ordered two Tesla Powerwalls back in August 2020. That's right. More than two years ago. At the time, the sales guy told me I should have Powerwalls installed in 45-60 days. Once I signed the contract, they said permitting was taking a while due to COVID. Once the permit was issued, they kept telling me they didn't have Powerwalls in stock because of Tesla sending Powerwalls to Puerto Rico, chip shortage, COVID, etc. I patiently waited. But then eventually I found out via SGIP's public reports that Infinity Energy was installing Powerwalls to customers who signed up way after I did. I complained to the BBB, and shortly thereafter Infinity Energy installed the two Powerwalls. They explained that I was on their Pleasanton warehouse waitlist, and Pleasanton doesn't get as many Powerwalls. So they had a crew from their Rocklin warehouse come install Powerwalls. They had been telling me for over a year that it's first come first served -- apparently that was just a lie. You had to be on the right waitlist apparently.
The Powerwalls were installed in January -- eight months ago. The installers told me everything (i.e., install grounding rods, permit inspection, PG&E Permission to Operate, SGIP rebate submission) should be done in a month or two. Eight months later, I'm still waiting. None of those things have been done. They blame the fire department for changing code requirements, and I think there's some truth to that. But Infinity has been anything but diligent, and they also screw up constantly. For example, they submitted a permit application for bollards that go down 3' under the garage floor. That's physical impossible -- my kitchen is immediately under the garage. This is just one example.
Don't expect anyone from Infinity to keep you informed throughout the process, either. You basically have to project manage yourself. And you can't even talk to anyone at the company who actually is working on your project. You can't talk to Ops Manager. Not Assistant Ops Manager either. And definitely not their CAD team. The only people you can talk to is their customer support team (after a 30 min wait on hold). I was expressly told their policy is that their operations manager does not speak directly to the customers. Too busy I guess. And it's not like the same person has been with me throughout this journey either. Sales team passed me on to a project manager, who left for a different role. So I got assigned another person, who subsequently assigned me to yet another person, who hasn't emailed me once. So I had to call customer support and yet another person took over my project.
It's been a nightmare, and it continues to be more than two years later.

Engaging with Infinity Energy was a complete waste of time. After being aggressively courted by one of their sales reps, going through an intensive contact phase, and having a site survey of my roof done, progress on my job stopped dead in its tracks. After chasing down my sales rep (which took quite a while), he told me that he had been laid off, as was the VP who had approved my job. So bad. Wish I could give them zero stars.
