They charge $99 for estimates. So illegal. Not really sure how they are getting away with this. I'm about to spend a couple of thousand dollars. What if they come out and don't want the job, I lose my money. No thanks. Pass!!!!

Unqualified, unprofessional, unworkmanlike, dishonest.

We hired Infinite Energy to remove and reinstall our solar and reroof our house, and remove the water cooler mounts from a water cooler that was no longer functional. We switched from cement tile to shingles. Infinite's quote was higher than others, but they were the only company that promised to complete the work before the rain season. We had a roof leak so we wanted to get it addressed quickly.

Where we are now:

Our solar is now non-functional due to a ground fault, which means they likely damaged the wiring somewhere.

They removed the wrong water cooler so we have no cooling upstairs.

The the water cooler mounts they were supposed to remove are still there and look terrible.

The crew damaged our gutters after pressuring us to remove them unnecessarily.

The damaged gutters, water cooler, and their trash is still in our front yard. They took my leaf blower and blew their lighter trash down the hill next to our house.

They installed an unnecessary drip edge around the house. We're worried this might complicate a gutter installation.

The workmanship on the roof is poor. Newly installed valleys are bent, some aren't painted, and several shingle cuts are ugly.

They forgot to collect payment from us, and now they're not gonna see a dime until they at least attempt to make this right.

The roof isn't leaking, that's cool.

Other things I think you should know:

None of the crews wore fall protection. Karissa didn't seem to care when I told her this and cited the OSHA laws.

Their solar crew lead had never heard of the NABCEP Certified Installer certification, also did not wear fall protection, and told me that he didn't know how to troubleshoot a ground fault (I work in solar O&M).

When they removed our functional water cooler, they left the water line on, and water was pouring off of our roof while we were on vacation.

They made up three different reasons why our gutters needed to be removed and failed to provide evidence or documentation for any of them. We believe they were pressuring us for an unnecessary downstream upsell. Before they provided photos that the gutters were rusted, they claimed that there would be a spacing issue after switching from tile to shingle (should've quoted that). Then they claimed that we wouldn't pass inspection due to the rust (name that inspection?). Our sales rep said the gutters were slightly rusted and we should paint them soon. So we hired a painter and he agreed the gutters weren't that bad. We asked if we could leave the gutters on and they refused to complete the project unless we removed them. That would have left us with an exposed roof over the winter. We'd still like an explanation for why the gutters couldn't have just been left on.

They attempted to install the shingles over dry-rot that was flagged by the inspector. Twice. That two times for those of you that are counting.

They did not keep our site clean. I have a 16 month old daughter and she picked up a roofing nail one evening. She could've swallowed it.

They initially no showed and I had to call and reschedule our project which delayed the work by one months.

Karissa reintroduced herself to me as though we hadn't already been talking.

They've failed to do anything except for demand payment and claim that the above issues aren't a problem. They've been radio silent for two months now. We're going to pursue every remedy available to us.

Rich and Karissa - feel free to give me a call. Here's what we want:

1. Our solar power system working
2. A new water cooler
3. The first floor water cooler hookups removed
4. Your trash removed
5. Confirmation that you'll honor your roof warranty

We'll also take reasonable reimbursement based on real quotes from other contractors to fix items 1 through 3. Seems reasonable to me.

My pool contractor used infinite energy home services for the solar heating of my pool. While my pool contractor was great , Unfortunately I had the same experience as many of the 1 star reviewers with infinite energy. From the moment they started work on my home it was a constant headache. They lied, they were sloppy, had no attention to detail and do not stand by their workmanship or product. The leadership of the company was extremely rude and no call no showed for 3 appointments to rectify my concerns. My pool contractor had to complete some of the work they wouldn't and hired another solar company for the rest. Please take the advise of the 1 star reviews and stay far away from this company.

I had a horrible experience with Infinite Energy on my re-roofing project, which which was inspected yesterday. Mike G. was the on-site estimator and promised that at the end of the project, my sagging roof would be level again, which was far from the case. I negotiated, against my better judgment, a change order to shore up and level one part of my roof. Well, these idiots, with no supervision as far as I could tell, jacked up my sagging roof with all the weight supported on my ceiling joists, which any tradesmen knows is just flat wrong. As a result, a whole row of sheet rock screws popped out of my newly-sheetrocked ceiling with cracks in it. I complained to the City Inspectors who admitted that it was a totally incorrect repair which, after lots of argument with the company, they came back and re-did the roof shoring work with a large beam from the outside to inside weight-bearing walls with no further damage to the ceiling, but I had to sign a liability waiver for the final repair which was not need for their initial repair. Any fool would have known upfront that this was the correct fix, but with their unsupervised crew, they did the slap-dash fix. It cost $3000 to restore my ceiling to its former state and the company only offered to pay for half of the repair cost, which lead to a long dispute. ""You break it, you fix it"" my lawyer advised me and they finally accepted responsibility of the cost of the repair.

I told Mike in very clear terms that I wanted ""all the facia boards on both sides of my roof replaced"" which he noted in the roofing contract that would ~80 ft of facia would be replaced which, without measuring the facia myself, I understood to mean that all the facia would be replaced. No, they only replaced part of the facia on the more slanted part of the roof, not on the ends where the roof flattened out. Well, after a battle, I caved and paid the cost of a hefty change order to get the rest of the facia replaced. I felt totally hoodwinked in the deal.

The contract called for a roof ridge vent to be installed which after the crew finished, I noticed it had not been installed. I got one of their senior roofers, Richardo, and a manager, Parneet S., on site to point this out to them and was told that because of my uneven roof ridge, installation was not possible. Well, they never would have acknowledged that fact if I had not pointed it out to them on site. I wanted a contract mod to reflect the fact that it was not installed, but said that they installed two small roof vents that were comparable which was nonsense. If they were equivalent, they why didn't they spec the ridge vent in the first place? Furthermore, one of the roof vents was installed without a full opening below it which I pointed out to Ricardo and Parneet who were both surprised as to how the vent would have been installed so incompetently. Richardo corrected it, but absent my bringing it to their attention, they would have not done it on their own.

The contract required them to install cedar shakes on my roof dormer which they did, but on one side of the dormer, the shakes were not level, but canted downward at a severe angle. I pointed out the incorrect installation to Parneet whose response was dead silence with a mere shrug of his shoulders. I was incensed and that was the end of that as they offered no fix.

I could point out a variety of other issues with the job, but you get the idea. Far and away from their awful quality of work was their failure to communicate in any sort of timely fashion and 98% of this falls on the shoulders of Karissa H, who would go days without responding to my communications. She has no real experience in the roofing business and yet is in a key position as a production manager. When asked, employees of her company admitted that she was not competent in her position nor thoughtful enough to respond to customer concerns in a timely manner. Parneet S. was a pure glad hander who shined me on all the way along. My complaints to the owner, Rich, went unanswered. The one and only one that had any competency was Ricardo who finally got most things sorted out... after a period of 3+ months for a job that was expected to take 3-4 days.

I thought I was contracting with Garner Roofing which evidently still has a good reputation, but my contract ended up with Infinite Energy which has some mysterious relationship to Garner Roofing that nobody could explain to me, not even their employees.

Beyond question, I have never ever had such a poor experience with a contractor in all my years in Sacramento and I advise people in need of roofing work to seek out far more competent and less costly companies which include Straight Line Roof and Cal-Vintage Roofing to name two competent roofing companies.

I called around for a few quotes. Infinite Energy responded by sending out a courteous and knowledgeable employee named Noah. He took the time to listen to our needs. He was respectful and informative. No sign of aggressive sales pitching, which we received from other (multiple) companies.
I definitely refer this company to handle all your needs.

We would Highly recommend INFINITE ENERGY HOME SERVICES to anyone needing a new roof or solar. The roof install crew, Eugino, Aristeo and Pedro all worked hard as the temperature was over 100 degrees . No Loud music, no cussing, they were all very professional which was appreciated. As with any large scale job, in my case solar and total roof, there are bound to be issues come up. When they did, they were handled quickly and work continued without interruption. Dennis and Dominic installed our solar. Dennis took the time to explain what he was doing and ran the conduit so it was hardly visible from the ground. Karissa, office support made contact with us every day, making sure of the progress. This company is the real deal, try them out!!!

Noah Calderon with Infinite Energy is top notch.
He took the time to explain the pros and cons on what we were looking to do and in terms that homeowners could relate to. The pricing was well explained and made sense. We appreciate the transparency with businesses like Infinite Energy and Roofing and look forward to working with them in the future. I would highly recommend working with Noah!

Big projects always have issues. Stuff breaks, and things happen. All in all, we were very happy with infinite energy/garner roofing. We did a roof and solar project and needed some unexpected repairs due to an unexpected downpour. Ritchie and Dennis made it right. I appreciated their efforts and would want them back at my house.

Came to Yelp to get quotes and estimates on roof replacements and eventually was contacted by Infinite Energy for an estimate. My appoint was for today 04/14/23 at 9-10 AM. I was contacted via Yelp messaging on 04/07/23 to reschedule an hour later between 10-11 AM because project managers were scheduled for a meeting from 8-9:30 AM. I agreed since it's only an hour difference and I also had another roofing from another company estimate at 12 anyway.

Around 9:49 AM, I get a call requesting yet another time change from the adjusted 10-11 to now around 11:30. I told them that's find as long as the roof is free by noon for the next company to come up and inspect...well, 11:50ish rolls by and Infinite has not shown up. The next company came and got their inspection done and still no sign of Infinite. It is now 1:04 as I type this and Infinite has not shown up.

Messaged Infinite to cancel the appoint at this point since I probably can't rely on a company to follow through a job when they can't even show up on time or at all. Even after multiple adjustements.
