They installed solar panels on my house in March of 2022 as of now September 2022. I still do not have functional/ working solar panels that actually reduce my SMUD energy bill. I have called them each step of the way. If I call daily for 14 or more days they will complete the next step towards functional solar. Then after 2-4 weeks SMUD will send me a highly technical email. Explaining that there is another step in the process thy SMUD is NOT responsible for. And I have to call every day for two weeks to get that step completed. At this point I have given up EVEr actually having functional solar.
As of 8/11/22, the repairs were not fixed. I had to find another company to get the venting issue repaired. The owners (there are 2 - Rich W & Jeff) of Infinite Energy refuse to fix their mistakes. The building reinspection still has not been scheduled. I have been dealing with Tracy, who is a great employee that is trying hard to fix these mistakes. Unfortunately, it's the owners of this company who take absolutely no responsibility. I cannot wait to be done with this company.
Jack K.I hired Infinite Energy to remove a deck and rebuild a new deck in its place.
No attention to detail. Large gaps between the deck support brackets and the vertical and horizontal 4x6 deck support beams. In some of them they cut a section of 4x6 and slid it into the gap. In others they took slivers of 4x6 pushed it into the gaps and snapped it off. They used a chalk line for the plank screws into the joists but could not manage to come close to the chalk line. Lots of ""ghost screws"" that go through the plank into nothing. Sometimes they would add another screw next to it.
The metal deck railing system that was installed was not straight. They came back to ""fix"" it but said that ""this will have to do, otherwise we would need to buy new deck railing posts"". The redwood planks used on my deck were warped, so the lines on my deck are curved. When they tried to correct this at the edge of the deck the freehanded a rip cut on the end plank giving it a nice wavy look to it, leaving gaps between it and the vertical trim piece on the edge of the deck.
The owner does not seem interested in making it right as I have not heard from him at all when he knows that I am still very unhappy with the finished product.
Please, check out my photos for examples of what I mention above. They clearly show a lack of workmanship and a lack of concern for my satisfaction of the work performed.
I would strongly discourage anyone from hiring this company to build a deck.
Mona G.Just wanted to give a shout out to this business. I had an electrical box replaced and our Generac hooked up. Brandon came out and gave a very fair quote and Dennis followed up with great service. I feel both went above and beyond and I am very happy with everything!!!!!!
Very chaotic company, unorganized, unresponsive and very difficult to deal with even on very simple and basic questions and projects which was a very bad start, so I called off dealing with them all together.
My wife and I chose this company to put solar on our home. We signed our contract and they failed to send the PG&E portion of the contract to us. We reached out to PG&E to see if they received our paperwork and they told us they have not. At this point we had already given them our down payment and signed out contract to send funds to the company becauae they finished the install. We were unaware at this point that PG&E didn't receive our paperwork and that they didn't know we even had solar installed. We started our install in September of 2021 and didn't receive the PG&E contract until December of 2021. After weeks of trying to get ahold of someone in the office, emailing and calling with no call backs, we finally were able to reach someone. The person we talked to said that the PG&E portion should have been the second form we signed. After install we were still reciveing very high power bills that the solar should have been lowering. All because they didn't take the time to make sure all the paperwork was done properly.
To anyone out there looking to have solar on their home, I wouldn't not choose this company. I'm giving it zero stars because they are very unprofessional and fail to communicate to the people they are doing work for.
****DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY****
I don't know the quality of work, but they were going to charge $240 just to come out to do the estimate. I offered to send photos of the work to at least give an approximate estimate, but they wouldn't do that. Four other electricians agreed to the photos, so I could then decide who I'd want to do the job. It isn't a big job.
At least they called back right away.
Excessive probing into your home details that are probably aimed at selling you services more than you ask for or in the future. Multiple reschedulings of appointments (which I can partially understand due to the busy holiday season but nevertheless reflect poor management). When they finally showed up for the site visit, they never bothered to get back with a quote or answered back.
Josh H.After years of paying PG&E premium rates for our electric service, we finally decided to ""pull the plug"" and make the switch to solar. We had multiple estimates from both large companies as well as smaller, and decided with Infinite Energy. Infinite provided us with the most information out of all the companies regarding the different systems, warranties, EV charging systems, and they also have a local roofing company that works with them in -house. The process was seamless, and the staff was always very accommodating. Garner roofing was able to provide us with multiple repair options and were able to make the repairs within 1-week of scheduling. Both Infinite Energy and Garner roofing (Thank you Jon!!) were able to get the project started, and completed before the end of the year, and during the raining season. No other companies we spoke to were able to accommodate such a short time frame, especially when it came to roof maintenance/repairs.
Both the mounting hardware (Iron Ridge) and the solar panels (Solaria) are made in the USA, which were another factor that we appreciated when Infinite provided us with their initial proposal. There were companies that offered systems that were cheaper, however, Infinite was the right balance of quality products, no-nonsense explanation of which products provided the best value for the money, reasonable project start dates, and friendly service personnel. In particular, we would like to mention the outstanding service that Infinite's electrician Dennis, provided to us. Not only was Dennis punctual, and professional, he also went out of his way to help us find and solve a problem with our master bathroom electrical outlets, that we were previously unable to fix. Dennis also came out the following day in the pouring rain, to ensure that our system was functioning properly, after there was an unforeseen issue due to a software update from Solar Edge (inverter co.). Thanks again Dennis!
All in all, both Garner roofing and Infinite Energy were a pleasure to work with and I would recommend them to anyone in the area looking to purchase solar or have home maintenance or upgrades done.
Lea S.***FROM May 2020*** Do not call this company to do work any for you. They scammed me out of $1,000 of electrical work that the electrician said was done, but nothing was accomplished. The electrician was here for 8 hours, I had already purchased 3 fans and supports, plus 6 recessed lights to be installed and planned out the whole project. At the end of the day, the electrician said he wired 3 switches, but I still did not have ANY lights or fans installed. They charged me $1,157 without a single light working in my house. I called out a family friend who is an electrician to finish up the work, and found out the switches were not even wired, that there was only a single wire sticking up out of my attic from the switch, nothing long enough to wire into a fixture. They refunded me $150, I have literally NOTHING to show for the $1,000 that I paid to have lights installed. This is inexcusable, dishonest, fraudulent, and stealing. When one of the owners responds to this review, just know that he said ""well I have to pay the electrician for his time spent there,"" as if it is my responsibility to pay for the cost for his electrician sitting in my attic for 6+ hours and lying about having the switches being ""ready."" I can only assume the other 6 reviews on their yelp profile are some friends they asked to write a review for them. I work way too hard to donate my money to a business that say they are going to accomplish something, and expects me to eat the cost of paying their unproductive employee. My only assumption is that the electrician needed some extra money to buy back the tools he said were stolen out of his work truck the week prior.
