Contact: [email protected]. My father launched this business in 1965 in Chicago, IL. He was involved with General Electric, Tootsie Toys, and Wonder Bread during the early 70s. As a kid, I was inspired by John Wayne and army movies. I enlisted in '67 and had the fortune of serving in the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY. When I got back, I began working in roofing. My father taught me every detail of roofing, from hot mopping to shingles and decking. By 1975, I began contracting with companies like International Harvester Tractors and Dresser Industries. I came to Frisco in 2014 to start a new branch of our company. Working here can be complex, with summer days demanding early starts and late finishes. I’ve gotten used to this pattern, and it feels like second nature now.

Sometimes, I believed my dad was stricter with me than with the other workers. He always looked for my mistakes and made me correct them. I once thought he was tough on me, but I eventually recognized he was aiming for excellence. I appreciate his mentorship. I enlisted in '67 with the 101st Airborne and came back to roofing afterward.
