Jimmie Estep, Ron's father, established the company in 1968. At that time, the family resided in San Diego, California, but Jimmie moved them back to Florida while Ron was in high school, bringing Imperial Roofing Contractor along. Ron learned the ins and outs of roofing while collaborating with his father. Although Ron graduated from the University of South Florida with a geology degree, he remained committed to the roofing business. Today, Ron's three sons—Chris, Ronnie Jr., and Jason—who began working in roofing as children, run the business alongside their father.
