When my insurance company told me they were going to cancel my policy in 3 weeks unless I got a new roof I had to scramble to get bids. My 20-year rated shingles were going on year 21 so I guess it was time but they still looked good to me and I had never had any leaks. As my first stop I went to Yelp. Immaculate Roofing stood out because of its elusive 5-star rating.

Derek, the owner, came out himself to give me the bid. He told me when he would be by for the appointment and he was here at that exact time. Score a point. You never get a second chance to make a first impression and at least two of the other roofing companies missed their window. That being said, the first thing Derek did was check the attic to see the condition of the wood planks supporting the roof. Next he and I climbed onto the roof to see what we were dealing with. I told him that cost was a big factor for me since this was not a home repair I had been planning on, but I did not want to sacrifice quality. He was honest outright and told me that the sloped portion of the roof was in decent shape and that the city code would allow me to install a brand new layer (shingles + felt) over the existing layer. This would save me money without sacrificing any quality. Score another point. This was refreshing because another roofer gave me the scare tactics telling me that I should completely remove the old roof to the bone because the wood below it might be wet and moldy (even though I had never experienced any leaks).

Next we moved to the flat portion of the roof which was in pretty bad shape. This part of the house was added on before we moved in and the builders failed to slope the roof to the edge. They were about 2 feet too short and the collection of water through the years completely rotted out the wood below. Derek said he would tear off the old roof, replace all the rotten wood below, and reconstruct a new slope right to the edge of the roof where it should have been done in the first point. NOT ONE OTHER ROOFER even offered to re-slope it, instead suggesting other workaround methods. Score another point. Once the analysis was done we sat down and looked at samples. Derek answered every one of my questions and made me feel at ease.

I was a little fearful of what the estimate might be considering all of the work but to my surprise Derek came in at second lowest! I went with Derek almost without hesitation for two main reasons: The fair price and my comfort level with him. During our meeting he stressed that being the owner of the company he takes pride in all of his work and holds himself and his workers to the highest standards. I can vouch for that after observing it first hand.

On Day 1, Derek and his crew were at the house at 7 AM ready to go. It wasn't just two or three guys but an entire crew. These are the same guys that have been with Derek since the beginning and that made me feel really comfortable. I have heard stories of contractors picking up random workers who have no vested interest in doing quality work. The materials arrived a short time later and they were off and running. I stuck my head out the door several times during the day and saw every last crewman hard at work. At the end of each workday they went to great lengths to make sure my grounds were completely clear of debris. Immaculate Roofing is an understatement, as you could almost eat off of the floors (not that I would!)

After Day 3 I had my new roof and could not be happier. As I said, this was not an expense I was prepared for. Derek came to my rescue and left me with a high quality roof and some bills left in my wallet.

I just want to say that it is extremely rare these days to find people like Derek, so honest and committed to quality and customer satisfaction. He is a man of high integrity, his work is top-notch and I have complete confidence that he will make you as happy as he made me.

On April 3, 2013, I was calling different roofing companies to get pricing on some roofing material. I called several places in the area. Most companies went to voice mail or their prices were too high or they were rude because I was a woman. My last call was to Immaculate Roofing Company and I spoke to Derek, the owner. He was extremely polite, friendly and very knowledgeable. He was very helpful, he told me where I could get the roofing material I was looking for and the price ended up less than other companies. Because of Derek I found the material I was searching for and at a great price. I wish I had found Immaculate Roofing before, I would have definitely hired them to replace my roof.

We purchased our home last Nov., 2012 and the house inspector recommended getting a more detailed inspection of the roof due to its age (house built in 1999 and on the original roofer per original owner/seller). The bank's inspector did a quick look at the roof but did not actually climb on top to walk on it.

We have purchased a couple of homes in our lifetime, but NEVER had to use a roofer before.

I originally found Derek here on Yelp and based on other's findings and reviews, we couldn't agree with the other positive posters.

It is now March, 2013 and we've had a few rainy days, some light, some kind of heavy and still no leaks. Of course, Derek suspsected the roof was still in pretty good condition and recommended a 'roofing tune-up' to go over the entire roof for better viewing and to re-seal the joints in every potential places where leaks could occur.

They did see a cracked and a tile that shifted! It was a good thing we listened to the bank's housing inspector and did what Derek suggested. The price was reasonable as well! There was one other bid from the escrow company, but it was much higher and we didn't want to hassle with getting more bids as settling in was just as hectic.

The guys came over on time and even showed the camera pictures of what was done to the roof. We do feel much safer now and know the integrity of the roof should last longer with the cracked and shifted tiles now fixed and anchored.

We know who to call in the future years from now for any roofing repairs and a great referral to others who ask us...""do you know of any good dependable and reliable roofer?""

Derek and his team did a great job on our roof! He quoted us a fair price, was honest, and came to the table prepared with a thorough presentation (unlike many other companies we met with). His presentation and professionalism are what sold us on Immaculate Roofing. His crew was on time, pulled the right permits, and kept our property clean throughout the entire process. To boot, he still follows-up and calls to this day to make sure the roof is still exceeding our expectations. Would definitely recommend Derek and IR!

I cannot say enough good things about Immaculate Roofing. Derek the owner is professional very courteous and runs an amazing crew. His guys were always on time and worked in what can best be described as very undesirable conditions (wind rain and cold weather) and they never slowed down. The last day of the job the crew made sure that everything was cleaned up and even ran magnets over the work areas to make sure no nails fell on the ground that they would have missed. Derek provided a very detailed and well written estimate for the job. Derek made frequent stops by my house to make sure that things were moving along in an orderly manner and that the project was on time. When a rain storm came earlier than expected Derek and his crew had my entire house covered quick fast and in a hurry and they were back to work as soon as it dried up.

I highly recommend Immaculate Roofing. They are no joke, are very professional, knowledgeable, and reasonable.
